Yup, it's for linguistics for tomorrow. I agree that it's really cool, but so hard:Is [the Tok Pisin] for one of your courses?
Las wiken sampela stilman i go insait long wanpela Saina stua na i laik stil. Tasol oldok i singaut na ol stilman ya i rananwe. Dispela trabel i bin kamap long Wes Goroka long Sarere 23 Me.
I haven't quite figured all of it out, but that paragraph translates to: "Last weekend, some thieves went inside a ... to steal. ... old dog .... thieves ran away. This ... have come up ... Saturday May 23rd."
The trick is 1. it's spelled differently from English, but if you speak it, you hear the English in it, and 2. they only have one preposition, and that's "long."
ETA: First, yo! (Or almost.)
No, I never do that usually, but today, I kinda felt the need to. :)
3. Also: "stilmen" means thieves, but Tok Pisin is more literal: "steal[ing] men".
4. They add "pela" to everything to indicate that it's a numeral. ("sampela" means "some", as you can see.)
Did I kill the thread already? ;)

Getbusychild do you have any plans for this evening or will you be celebrating at a later date?
AW regarding your MySpace issue the other day... does your school use home pages to do homework? At my son's old school some of the classes had home pages where the kids could submit assignments, this may help you to get the kids user names/e-mail addresses? My friend's son is getting the lovely pictures of nude girls randomly from MySpace. I know I heard something about it last week but didn't pay much attention. I guess I have to now.
SadieHyde says hello to one and all. She wanted me to tell you that she misses all you guys and hopes to be able to drop by in the next couple of days. Apparently Leela has taken to crawling with a vengeance, and has her own little plan to drive her mom crazy with her death-defying antics.
Kma how is Raspberry feeling? Is the household back to normal?
Gwennie how are you feeling? Better I hope. How is the little man not too bad I hope. :)

I haven't caught up, but YAY for Spooky and good test results! Health is the best present there is.
dazz, I think it was the flu because I was pretty much fine by last Monday. Tornado avoided it completely (he had a flu shot, I did not) and one of the troublesome teeth has started to poke through. I disappeared over the weekend because of holiday fun and my addiction to our new Wii.

Anyway, I didn't get an incomplete in the class I thought I was going to get an incomplete in because I lost the program to one of the concerts I had to go to, that we needed as proof.

True, the angst that will surely kill the recapper and all. It's just such a part of the show, and a nice opposite to comfort. Methought at least.I thought Raoul hates the angst? Or am I getting him and Demian mixed up?

I think I might wrap some gifts tonight. The shopping is done so I guess it is time for wrapping. I bought my nephew the Sesame Street Giggle & Go Garage. I love it! It is so cute and has all these little sounds and sayings. My brother an sister-in-law should be loving me after Christmas.
Have fun tonight getbusychild have a couple of drinks and toast the day.
I think Raoul looks adorable Fary. Good job.
