So! This show is ripe with possibilities. That's what I think anyway.

Check ChuckNews at livejournal for fanfiction so far. There are about a gazillion John Casey fics (mostly by ladytalon1), several slashy fics (all with John Casey), and, I think, two Chuck/Sarah fics.

Ah, the many nasty possibilities of "fanfic". Obviously the most squicky ones of all would feature Morgan.

Maybe Morgan's got a thing for, ehem... tough guys. Like Casey. In the A.V. room at Buy More.

Also, college flashback stories with Chuck and Bryce would seem to be a natural, as would Cap'n Awesome/Casey stories, now that we know they've met on the show.

Perhaps someone could tell the tale of why "Big Mike" is REALLY called "Big Mike". Perhaps it would involve Harry Tang (the angry Asian guy) working um, HARD to get that Assistant Manager position.

Also, SOMETHING has to involve Wienerlicious. It's a given.

Getting away from slash, or the ultra-squick-factor of BroSisYay, I suppose you could have a high squick factor also with Ellie getting drunk and sleeping with Morgan. And... that one would need a "barf" emoticon if those were used here.

Also, dude. The cute Asian Nerd girl (her name is apparently Anna Wu) needs to "do" Chuck in the stock room.

I freely invite anyone who wants to write any of the above. In this kind of stuff, I'm just the idea man. Especially since I don't particularly like reading slashy stuff. I just think the possibilities are freaking hilarious.

Sadly, there are enough Chucks in the world that http://del.icio.us/tag/Chuck doesn't do us much good. Narrowing to http://del.icio.us/tag/Chuck+fic yields, apparently, a lot of Stargate Atlantis fic. (Huh, I never registered a character named Chuck on SGA - shows how much attention I pay.) Well, and one lone actual Chuck fic: Fake Girlfriends and Fictional Sex.

Research must continue.

Oh, and, dude! Chuck has a last.fm profile! How cool is that? (Found via http://www.chuckssecret.com/, which seems to be official.)

Is there a dedicated LJ community yet for Chuck fanfic? I have to admit I haven't seen too much of it to begin with so I'm feeling I just may have to write my own Chuck fic, won't I?

Thanks for the links. It looks like the Chuck Fanfic LJ just started in the last day or so so I'm hoping there'll be some good material getting posted there soon. Also, I think the nerd herder LJ is specific to Major Casey -- fic, videos, etc.

Two Chuck/Sarah fic recs.

First, Comiskey, the writer who did the awesome "Fake Girlfriends and Fictional Sex" and its sequel, has written a new fic titled "Two to Tango."

The fic has some good characterization work, and sexy dancing. I really like the ease of Comiskey's prose, and the eroticism of the dance; she really captures the feel of the tango as fully clothed sex. It's delightful. Especially if you wished that Chuck and Sarah could have had the chance to dance together last episode.

Second, Neotantrika's "Trust" is a good, short Sarah character piece. The writer explores the harsher aspects of Sarah's job and its effect on her without denying the genuine affection she has for Chuck. Instead, the author tries to make sense of the two things combined.

I found both of these through the new Chuck/Sarah LJ community, dont_freakout.

Also, for any of you reading Chuckfic so far, have you noticed there's more slash fic than het fic? I'm a big Office fanfic fan and writer, but most Office fans are Jam/Pam based. This doesn't seem to be the case so far with Chuck. Any ideas why?

So the slash to het ratio is disproportionate? Huh. I definitely figured there would be a lot of Chuck/Sarah running around. I may just have to write something.

Yeah, it's strange that there's so little Chuck/Sarah fic out there, considering the amount of sheer longing ZL puts into Chuck's every look at Sarah. Maybe it's too early in the show? Although that didn't stop fans from writing Jim/Pam stories for The Office. I just know that I would feel a little weird reading a story where they hooked up this early.

Also, I'm seconding killersharky's self-rec. Five Things in Chuck's Head is a wonderfully fun piece.

Thanks NEJ! And I think maybe the issue with het/slash fic might be because of all the HoYay! moments on this show. It's not like The Office where there isn't alot of personal stuff we see to base decisions outside of the office environment. I mean, Chuck and Awesome doing the tango? Chuck's emotional reunion at the end of the Sandworm episode? Hell, they were dressed like a phallic worm! So yeah, I think this show must just encourage that a bit.

But then again, I've seen alot of Casey/Sarah fic get posted recently too so I have no idea what that's about.

Neotantrika's new fic "Falling" is so good. Gah! All of you guys longing for awesome Chuck/Sarah fic, this one is the best I've read so far, bar none. Even in a larger fandom, a fic this well characterized, smoothly written and hot as all get out would be a 'ship classic.

Falling is indeed great, but be aware that it's a totally NC-17 piece. TOTALLY! Although she's done some great smutty Office fanfic as well so I'm glad to see her writing for this fandom too.

I would definitely like to... um... second... third... fourth, I guess "Falling". That was utterly fantastic, and with the exception of the Porn!Chuck part, I could see that particular plot element actually being in an episode.

Self-pimping a fic based on last night's episode. Sarah vs. The Green Eyed Monster. I thought it might be fun to explore how Sarah got herself into that skimpy purple nightie before heading over to Chuck's last night. Ebongreen, it may be a little bit of what you're looking for, but it's pretty fluffy.

Somewhat untypical for me, because I usually write angsty fan friction (i.e. ChickPorn), rather than the fluffy pg-13 stuff i'm posting here, but I hope you like it anyways.

It's Chuck/Sarah and rated NC-17. While it is very sexual in nature, for plot purposes, it's told in a very detached style. This is not a hot PWP.

CreedogV, amazing fic. I love the way that your portrayal synthesizes the different aspects of Sarah's character: her affection for Chuck is apparent in your story, but it doesn't compromise her professionalism. Instead, the two get all twisted together in a heartaching, authentic way. I feel like you've worked out a way that some of the questions about Sarah that have been raised in her character thread can be resolved. It was particularly moving when she reached into her own feelings to sell the manipulation. Part of her was in the moment with him, and part of her was standing back from it, doing a cruel but, from her perspective, necessary thing.

Brilliant. You mentioned in your author's notes that it was tough to write, and I can see how. Aside from the character work your doing, there's pitch perfect humor (the dogs! Heh. Chuck the "earnest and friendly" terrier and Bryce the German Shepherd! Bwah. Perfect.), cultural references, and fantastically good tactical descriptions of the Kissing on a Mission. The way Sarah's mind was whirring away on how to do things just right, starting out crossing one boundary, then leading to the next was fascinating to see, and it made the moments of emotion that came through all the more striking.

Also? I kinda want to cry now.

Well, this is how I spend my shift when I have to work first shift on Thanksgiving Day.

I write Chuck fluff fic! Yes indeed, I have written a piece of fanfic that has no real angst, no real mission, just a fun Evening With Morgan that contains JUST the slightest bit of C/S goings-on.

I call it Chuck vs. the Airsoft Gun.
