If what's been shown in the previews is any indication, one of the many great things about Pushing Daisies is its writing, as proven obviously by the quotes. One example, from the preview:

Ned to Chuck: "You can't touch me."
Chuck: "So, a kiss is out of the question?" Awww!

Show your love for your favorite PD quotes here.

Ned: "It's kind of a random proximity thing."
Emerson: "Bitch, I was in proximity!"

Chuck: I'll be so mad if you're lying you'll have me scratching the drapes.
Ned: I'm not lying. Please don't attack the window treatments.

Out of all the fantastic dialogue in the pilot, that last line from Ned is probably my favourite.

I imagine this thread is going to be hella long once this show gets rolling. My absolute favourite line of the pilot comes from Chuck:

Ned: You're supposed to be dead. This is pushing your luck.
Chuck: Yeah, well, luck pushed me first.

I'd kiss you if it wouldn't kill me. Is that weird?

That's not weird. It's symmetrical

Charolette always wanted to get away. Got away further than any of us thought.

Paraphrased, hopefully ABC.com will post the episode soon.

"We can split it, 30-30-40. I should get more, I did die for it."

"We all have childhood issues. I have horror stories!"
"I kind of killed her father when I was 10."
"Maybe not horror stories."

My two favorites:

Olive: (referring to Chuck) Doesn't she look like that dead girl?
Emerson: She looks exactly like that dead girl.
Olive: You should take that as a compliment, because she was pretty.

Chuck: You can't just touch someone's life and be done with it.
Ned: Yes I can. That's how I roll.

(paraphrased)

Ned: "Hey - your truck's on fire."
*cut to a shot of the truck in flames*
Grave Digger: "Aw, jeez-"

And it's never mentioned again. I laughed harder at that than anything else the entire hour. It's just - the randomness of it! *love*

Olive, after seeing Chuck walk out of Ned's apartment.

"Does he touch you?"

Instant Classic.

I am tremendously depressed that it's very unlikely I'll ever be able to use "Bitch, I was in proximity!" in regular conversation. I fell completely in love with Chi McBride right then.

The former synchronized swimmer in me loved "I can hold my breath a long time." (or however she phrased it.) Maybe I just like the combination of the line and the gun.

One of my favorite quotes:

Lily, about Chuck: "Chuck was a firecracker, always trying to get us out of the house, threatening to bake antidepressants into our food. It got to the point where we were scared to eat anything she cooked."

Or, "The Pie Hole."

And Winnie Rose, I'm with you on the flaming truck. I think it was the delivery, combined with the realization that Ned must have set the fire, and how funny it was that that was the only thing he could think of to distract the gravediggers.

Though it also set up "Hi, sorry I'm late," which, while not much of a line in writing, was delivered in such a way that I actually had dreams about it last night.

My absolute favourite line of the pilot comes from Chuck

Me too, Sir Bitter. I loved the "Luck pushed me first" line.

I also loved, "I guess dying's as good a reason as any to start living."

It sounds cliche, but it isn't. Because she didn't have some light at the end of the tunnel scare, she really did die.

I loved the narration, espeically, "...but Aunt Vivian did not liked to be touched"

And not so much a quote, but I did like after the killer was shot and blasted out the window Chuck runs up and kicks his body a few times.

Chuck: Then you haven't been hugged properly. It's like an emotional Heimlich. Someone puts their arms around you and they give you a squeeze and all your fear and anxiety come shooting out of your mouth in a big wet wad and you can breath again.

Ned: That's fine for someone else to do if I'm choking on something other than emotion, but you can't touch me.

"Emotional Heimlich" made me a fan!

Vivian: Charlotte was a nice girl.
Lily: With the exception of puberty.
Vivian: Which was, unfortunately, when Lily was going through a change of life.
Lily: Impolite to discuss a person’s menopause in mixed company.
Vivian: It nearly killed me.

I just loved how earnestly EG delivered the last line.

Ned: "It's kind of a random proximity thing."
Emerson: "Bitch, I was in proximity!"

Best quote ever.

I also liked:
"Well touch the poor bitch and ask her who killed her."

I can tell Emerson will be my favorite character.

And from the Boutique Travel Travel Boutique travel agent:
(and I'm paraphrasing here...)

"Yeeah I guess I should've mentioned that. Basically if I thought it was safe I would've done it myself."

Feity, yes! That was such an amazing entrance by that character, and so...yes! I literally squealed and seal-clapped Paula Abdul-style for it!
