Don certainly is "Prime, Grade A Material." His shirtless scene last season proved that.

But I love him for more than that. I'm nowhere near being a hotshot FBI agent, but I am an oldest child, so I identify with him on that level. I just also melt for guys who are protective in a non-chauvinist way. Don is very protective of his family and his team and innocent civilians, but he's never disrespectful of it. For instance, he often talks up Megan's ability to take care of herself.

Though I have to admit that even if I didn't like him for those reasons, I would keep coming back for the hotness alone. Shirtless, Jeans of Justice, riot gear, I don't care, Rob Morrow/Don Eppes is one hawt man and I feel no shame in drooling over him.

Don - my "Pilot" reason for hooking up with Numb3rs. However, unlike his popular attractions, I liked that he was clever and a leader, complimenting his genius brother. I like the manly brainy types.

Lately though, the show seem to be having some problems balancing brawn and brains. Hope Season 4 gives us JoJ supporters some smart fibbies for a change.

Go Don!

I love the way Don interacts with Charlie (most of the time, unless Charlie is explaining something that Don should know, but that's sort of another topic). I have two older brothers, and I definitely see things in his protectiveness and care for Charlie that resonate with me a lot.

Also, yeah, Rob Morrow is pretty. :) Even though David Krumholtz still is moreso, for me.

Okay, I'm going to try to get this discussion started by asking if anybody else out there was actually kind of freaked out during the scene in "Trust Metric" where Don was running around like a crazy person looking for his keys.

There was something deeply wrong with the world for me during those moments.

Anybody else? Can I get a show of hands? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I find Don the most interesting character. He connects to people in ways that the other characters can't (Charlie) or won't (Colby).

One bit last season that cemented my love for the character: they are chasing down someone dealing in art stolen by the Nazis and Don wonders why their family isn't religious. He's realized that there's a blank area in their lives which has never been discussed.

The father puts up walls and keeps secrets while Charlie can be borderline autistic to social cues. Don is more interested in people while avoiding becoming a chick-flic wannabe.

I managed to watch some Don moments in "Trust Metric". He looks great but most of all... "Yay! Don is smart again."

It reminded me of Don looking for the remote in one of the past episodes although more frantic of course.

I didn't like that the screen was jumping all over the place during that scene (heard that it was the case with the whole ep).

I also caught a Charlie vision and didn't like it at all. One could actually understand and learn something in past visions but this time, it was so fuzzy and I can't understand why we had to see Charlie's hands moving around in between. Anyway, out of topic here..

Don in a suit... wonderful!

I think it freaked me out a bit because we don't often see him as being *that* frantic. Come to think of it, maybe after he found out Crystal Hoyle had Megan he was that bad, but it was like one of the rocks of my existence was cracking a bit. (How sad for me, that a fictional character should have a role like that in my life. Well, considering it's Don, maybe not so sad at all.)

I thought TPTB were going to pull back a bit on Don-angst this season, because--let's face it--there's plenty of angst to go around. But maybe Don's angst is like Charlie's hair--too hot to get rid of. I do think the sessions with Bradford have made a difference. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

What? Where did you hear this from? Nooo. I didn't think there was too much at all... really. I'm sure Charlie can come up with an algorithm to prove that. No amount of Don angst/peril is enough. As you said, "too hot to get rid of"

Oh, I didn't hear it from anyone. I just thought the therapy would help him deal with stuff better. Maybe the first part has simply been getting him to realize he has stuff to deal with.

And yes, indeedy--Don angst is hot. Of course, smart Don is hot, too. And in charge Don. Come to think of it, just about any kind of Don is pretty hot. :-)

Hee, Agent Tight Pants!

Hey, I feel a plot bunny emerging..... My script calls for Nathan Fillion to be rescued from Desperate Slutwives and cast as an evil villain who menaces and kidnaps poor helpless little Charlie to get at Don. Thus, Don has to be all Protective!Big!Brother! and the ensuing guilt he feels over his brother's plight makes him extra angsty AND thus even hotter. EvilVillain Nathan holds Charlie hostage in a baby oil factory. In the ensuing rescue attempt, during which Don wears lots of really hot riot gear AND the distractingly tight JOJ, a weapon is discharged and a vat of baby oil ruptures.

Being a work in progress, I'm not yet sure how to work the loss of the clothing of all the main protagonists into the plot......though I am sure that there will be wrestling, lots of wrestling.

Ah, Shaolingrrl, I'm too busy wallowing in the shallows to even think about producing children; but you're welcome to join me. Bring M&Ms.

Hmm.. I do like "Protective Don" and "Protective Big Brother Don" but I think in this instance, I'd just go for pure job related Don angst/peril.

I can't wait for my recordings to arrive. I've just seen bits and pieces of the Don scenes and they are not helping my patience. Just 2 more weeks!

Noticed Larry's new look too. He looks good. I think I like Charlie's S3 look better but I'll have to see the whole ep to be sure. Don- I would like his hair to be a little longer but this is ok too.
