Yeah! I get to start Jason's page! Being a Freaks and Geeks fan, he was the main reason I started watching this show. Jason does such a great job with making Marshall a loveable goof.

I was watching Lollilove the other day, which is a indie film done by Jenna Fisher from the Office a few years back. Jason appears as himself with Linda, obviously back when they were dating. Its a fun little cameo that I would check out if you are a fan of his.

I, too, saw Lollilove and didn't realize that he would appear in it so it was a nice surprise.

As a huge Freaks and Geeks fan, I almost didn't want to watch this show because I didn't think it could compare to F&G - which admittedly is a difficult task - and so I didn't watch it for the first half of the first season, assuming it would be another bland sitcom on CBS. But I was so wrong.

He was great on Freaks and Geeks and that's definitely where I fell in love with him, but I also want to give him a shout out for his AWESOME recurring role on Undeclared.

I just finished watching Freaks and Geeks, and I have to admit that Jason was arguably given the greatest number of cringeworthy moments. Everything that had to do with his drumming, his obssession with Lindsay, "Lady L", his relationship with his father, Disco Nick, the horrible underwear. No character got away embarrassment free, but most of his were showstoppers. If his movie with Kristen Bell does well, I hope Judd Apatow makes him the star of his next directorial effort. He deserves the exposure.

Well, he certainly got the "exposure" in Knocked Up.

I just finished watching F&G too. I was so ready for Jason's character to be shy, adorable guy, that I couldn't believe how much I cringed whenever he was on scene. I like that kind of humor, so I didn't mind, but it was definitely an adjustment.

I think my favorite thing about Jason in F&G was the earnestness with which he imbued the character of Nick. Part of the reason the embarrassing moments are so cringeworthy is that Jason really makes you root for Nick to succeed. I think he does a good job of giving Marshall some of that same earnestness. It's what keeps Marshall from just being a foil for Ted and Lily.

Cute interview with Jason and Kristen Bell about Jason's movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

I am so psyched for that movie! Though I am very curious about how JS and KB's great height disparity will look on the big screen.

I love Kirsten Bell's subtle nod to HIMYM, when asked about the film's writer (who is Jason Segel):

Oh, the writer? I haven't met him, but I hear that guy's awesome.

God knows I love JS and want a Marshmellow of my very own, but I hated JS's facial hair SO MUCH in Knocked Up that I almost lost the love. Thankfully HIMYM came back and my love was restored. Still, when I think about it - *shudder*

I got to see a Forgetting Sarah Marshall screener last week. I loved the movie and Jason Segel was awesome in it. I'm also a fan of his from Freaks and Geeks.

Oh my goodness. Jason Segel writing the next Muppet movie. This could be brilliant.

Also, his IHateSarahMarshall blog made me giggle--even if the web videos were a little uncomfortable. (Check out the Sarah Marshall fansite under his dislikes for a couple of holding-purse shots.)

There's something wrong with having Jason naked and not Kristen Bell :-(

The movie looks good. I wonder if Jason would ever write an episode of HIMYM.

On 3/13/08 - EmpireOnline.com had an article, "Forgetting Miss Piggy", on Jason regarding the new Muppet Movie.
Towards the end, it goes - ...."we wish Segel, who is still starring in the sitcom, How I Met Your Mother (but not for very much longer, we’d suspect) the best of luck." WHAT? Don't even joke about that! One crisis at a time!

Ebert and Roeper had a 2-week early review of Forgetting Sarah Marshall and they gave it 2 very enthusiastic recommendations. (They can't use thumbs up or down because Disney and Ebert and Siskel's estate haven't come to an agreement about using them.)

Richard thought Jason was pretty awesome and fearless and even said that if he created a Top 50 comedies of All Time, he would have find room on the list for this movie. I was already looking forward to it, but now my expectations are a little higher.

So I saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall last night (sneak preview) and I laughed the whole way through. I was a little shocked by the nudity, but it was still halarious. Jason's character Jason is just like Marshall, but in a good way. I'll go see again once it is released for sure.

So I saw the movie last night at the New York "premiere" that was being hosted by MySpace. It was really good. My friends that were with me are both film majors, and they said that the plot wasn't very substantial, but I didn't have any problems with the plot. I found it extremely funny. I was laughing practically the whole way through. And like other Apatow productions, it was very dirty, but had a lot of heart to it. Oh, and Jason, Bill Hader, Russell Brand, and Judd Apatow showed up to the screening to basically say hi before the movie. We were told there would be a Q&A, but that didn't really happen. The guys really only talked for about five minutes, and then stayed for the first few minutes of the movie (the breakup scene) before leaving.

And I gotta tell you, Jason is an extremely good looking man. I always thought he was a pretty good looking guy, but more in that average Joe sort of way. But in person, he is really, really hot. My friend thinks it's because he was wearing a suit, but I've seen him in suits on How I Met Your Mother, and it's just nothing compared to the way he looks in person. Seriously, cameras do not do the man justice.

I'm so glad to see all the rave reviews for Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Hopefully Jason Segel will finally get the recognition as the great comedic force that he is.

TOTALLY. I met him several weeks ago in L.A., and the first thing that struck me was how handsome he was in person. (He was also very, very nice.)

I thought he was amazing in FSM, but I think he could read the newspaper obituaries and I was be fascinated too so I don't know if my review counts. I just really love actors that aren't afraid to make themselves look foolish -not holding back in the slightest.

And I wish I could see more of "A Taste For Love" too. Seriously.
