I don't think this has been mentioned yet, I didn't see it, my apologies if it has. I picked pu the preview TV Guide yesterday. Here's info on HIMYM, not a whole lot we don't know...
- We see the "mother", but Ted (and us, I guess) might not notice. "We want to explore how that moment when you stop looking for 'the one' is the moment when 'the one' is closest to you." - Craig Thomas
-Lotta guest stars: Mandy Moore, Enrique Iglesisas, Busy Phillips, Danica McKellar. Ted gets with one of them.

Cool to see Danica McKeller back, need to revisit the pineapple incident (although that confuses me because I thought future Ted said he never saw her again).Lotta guest stars: Mandy Moore, Enrique Iglesisas, Busy Phillips, Danica McKellar. Ted gets with one of them
I heard that Mandy Moore will be Ted's rebound from Robin and she's playing a punk rocker type

I must have misheard. I stand corrected. No, Narrator!Ted said she never called back. He most carefully did not say he never saw her again.

3.01 is called Wait For It
3.02 is called We're Not From Here (Ted and Barney pose as lost tourists to meet women)
3.03 is called Little Boys

3.5 is How I Met Everyone Else and it's a flashback heavy about the first meeting of just about everyone in the gang. We even get to see more of Ted and Barney's first meeting. This one looks like the best episode of the season so far to me.
3.6 is Homewrecker and it's mostly about Lilly and Marshall trying to find their own place.
In Little Boys, Ted and Barney make a bet over a girl to see which one of them can hook up with her faster. This is my least favorite on the page, but it could end up really being awesome when it airs. It's really hard to tell, especially with comedy.

3.4 is The Third Wheel and this is the one in which Danica McKellar comes back and tries to get Ted to have a threesome with her and a frenemy of hers from college, as Ausiello already spoiled, I think.
This is the episode I'm most looking forward to so far. So psyched Danica McKellar's coming back (I even made that wild suggestion in the old thread right after the Mandy Moore casting, little did I know I'd get my wish!) and Busy Phillips was a good choice to play her frenemy.

Question: Loved your red-carpet interview with Neil Patrick Harris. Now that I've massaged your ego, whaddaya say you give me some How I Met Your Mother scoop? — Emily
Ausiello: Neil has actually just been added to my ever-expanding list of celeb BFFs, and not just because he gave me a pretty major almost-casting scoop (although that certainly helped). As those of you who watched our interview know, Kirstie Alley was approached to guest-star as the now-57-year-old hag that deflowered Barney many moons ago, but sadly, the ex-Fat Actress passed. In other HIMYM news, I hear producers had better luck luring Angela's Eyes actress Abigail Spencer to appear as a likely interest for Ted in Episode 5.

Oh, I hope so. I just saw that episode last night (new to HIMYM & catching up on the DVDs), and I just ... have to know. I just do.Reading through the quotes thread made me wonder if Trudy (Danica McKellar) will reveal what the deal was with the pineapple when she shows up again!
Aw, that's too bad. She probably would have been hella funny in that role.Kirstie Alley was approached to guest-star as the now-57-year-old hag that deflowered Barney many moons ago, but sadly, the ex-Fat Actress passed.

"Third Wheel" - When two beautiful women show that they are both very attracted to Ted, they take the party to his place, where the gang helps Ted realize that bad luck doesn't always come in threes, on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, Monday, Oct. 8 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
I wonder if they just switched "Third Wheel" and "Little Boys" around or if they're bumping "Little Boys" farther back.

We meet Lily's big brother later this year!
Would it be wrong if I hoped it was Nicholas Brendon?

Also, Robin is dating an older guy (in his 40s) and Ted is a bit cranky about it.

3.9 is called Slapsgiving.
Makes sense according to Slap Countdown, it should take place right around mid-November.

And late to the party, I love the Nicholas Brendon as Lily's brother idea. That would be excellent.

Marshall takes the New York Bar Exam.
I have a few timeline issues with this: (1) The NY bar exam is given in February and July, not November; and (2) Marshall graduated from law school already?

Marshall graduated from law school already?
Well, he was in his second year in the pilot.

The gang gets memberships at a gym. Marshall has a really mean trainer while Robin gets really into it. Also, Sandy Rivers returns.
