Ally Walker will always be the Profiler to me, since that's when I first figured out who she was.

Oh and Jane Alexander should have won that damn Oscar for playing Judy Hoback in All the President's Men way back in 1976. Yes, I'm still bitter at Beatrice Straight.

Lot of love for Sonya Walger who in addition to playing Carolyn on TMYLM, guest stars as Penelope Widmore "Penny" on Lost and was Donna Barnes for two seasons of the critically panned show, The Mind of the Married Man.

Palek, played by Adam Scott also was in Monster in Law and guest starred in two episodes of SFU as Ben Cooper, who was a potential love interest for David Fisher.

And of course, Tim "Jonesy" DeKay. I'm glad at least he has some work since I'm still bitter that Carnivale got cancelled.

I'm liking this a lot so far, and I'm glad to see Tim DeKay in it. I've been a fan of his for a while, as Jonesy in Carnivale, the blind reverend in Everwood, the Marked entrepreneur in The 4400 this season, and as Dean in one of my favorite films, the gay romantic comedy Big Eden. He's great at taking on Everyman characters and making them memorable by bringing added dimensions to the roles.

Even after the casting had been completed, I was still unsure who Tim DeKay was. His guest appearances in My Name Is Earl helped me solidify his image in my mind.

Also, Sonya Walger is best known to me as a hard-nosed agent from Sleeper Cell, a series where Ally made two appearances as an oblivious mother to one of the terrorists.

I think Jane Alexander is much, much too good to be in navel gazing dreck like this.

Tim DeKay in Big Eden, yes (an amazingly mixed-up picture just bursting with good intentions). Also as Bizarro Jerry on those two episodes of Seinfeld.

And before she was a Profiler, Ally Walker costarred with Billy Campbell in a nice shortlived series called Moon Over Miami, she was The Other Woman in While You Were Sleeping, and had a good central role opposite Jeremy Northam in Happy, Texas. She always had a likable goofy offbeat presence; so what's she doing in this?

THAT's where I saw SW at. I kept looking at her and wondering. I was too lazy to look it up on IMDB. =)

I recognize Tim DeKay from his role as the blind reverend on "Everwood." Also, sadly for him, he was in "Hidden Palms." Sadly for me, I watched the first episode (in which he died).

Luke Kirby was Jack, the Hollywood Hamlet, from the first season of Slings and Arrows.

I cannot believe I recognized him. Slinking dweebily away now, back to my TV-on-DVD addiction.

Oh, dear.

Luke Kirby was so cute and sweet and endearing as Angelo in "Mambo Italiano."

I think he needs to go back to being a pretty gay boy. I liked him a lot better than
this scowling asshole.

BigLoveNut, I think you're thinking of Sarah Alexander, who played Susan on Coupling. Sonya Walger was on the short-lived U.S. version.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Adam Scott's guest appearance on Veronica Mars back in season one. God, he's adorable.

A couple of weeks ago, I saw Adam Scott in a tiny role in the fantastic Knocked Up. He played a nurse.

She always had a likable goofy offbeat presence; so what's she doing in this?

Rinaldo, I take it you never saw her guest role in the fifth season finale of The Shield. She played a creepily deluded suburban-housewife-turned-hooker. Nothing goofy or offbeat about that. :)

Ally Walker (Pam) was caught making popcorn with Sheila Kelly's (Debbie) 'Expect the Best' date, Peter Horton, in the movie Singles.

A few months ago I saw Adam Scott in a movie called "Who Loves the Sun" with Lukas Haas, Molly Parker, R.H. Thomson and Wendy Crewson. It's a Canadian film, so I'm not sure on its circulation. I definitely recognize Luke Kirby from "Slings and Arrows" as well (courtesy of my DVD collection as well).

For us over-45 folks, David Selby was werewolf Quentin Collins in the original Dark Shadows series from my teenage years.
And he's been a guest at my B&B - very nice man.

Thank you. I knew I knew her from somewhere. I didn't remember it was the US version of Coupling since I've blocked out that series. Just awful.

Thanks, Muirford. I was totally in love with Quentin Collins when I was 6 years old. Which is why I cringe down to my spine to see him in this crapfest (and getting a blowjob too). Ick.

Seriously. I kept going Sam Walters is domestic now! Sam Walters kick some ass, do something. Spew some forensic scientist's terms or something.

Oh no, Beaverhausen! I have only DVR'd it, not watched it yet... I guess it will be with dread.

My DH took the reservation for him and then found me in the backyard to tell me he had just booked David Selby - did I remember him from Dark Shadows? I squealed like a girl. I bought the videos of both Dark Shadows movies so that he could see them before he arrived. He's also a West Virginia native and has done some stage work around here - Love Letters with the actress who was in Falcon Crest with him.

Jane Alexander was in one of my favorite TV movies from when I was a kid, 1990's Daughter of the Streets. Most notable for the appearance of John Stamos as the daughter's pimp. With that aside however, JA is wonderful as the mother who fights to keep her daughter from being a prostitute.

Yup - that was me -- though I WAS ashamed, mostly because I spent like 30 minutest trying to place his face - BMW was the first thing that popped into my had, but I was just sure I had to be wrong. It's not the recognition that makes me ashamed, it's the fact that I placed it so quickly -- stupid ABC TGIF.

That may be. All I know is when I go to On Demand, the Coupling that SW is in is on the BBC network.

Oh my God!! Is that who that is?? My husband has Dark Shadows on DVD. I've just gotten to the part where Quentin makes an appearance. That man was luscious. Is luscious. That was bugging the hell out of me. I knew I recognized that face. ;)

Ally was Clairol's model for the "Nice and Easy" hair colour. The HBO bio dates the Clairol ad to 1989 - is that right? (I wish I'd seen them myself, but I was nine at the time, and, living in another country altogether.) Ally joked about the gig on one of her Conan O'Brien appearances. Do you remember any details about the commercial?

Jane Alexander was in a movie that came out in the early 80's that I think was called Testament about the aftermath of a nuclear bomb in the United States. William Devane was her husband. It was one of the most heartbreaking movies I have ever seen.

And I am glad someone else mentioned David Selby as Quentin from Dark Shadows! He was also in early 80's goodie Falcon Crest with the recently deceased Jane Wyman.

David Selby was also one of Barbra Streisand's costars on film, which makes him part of a pretty select group. Up the Sandbox.
