Dietrich, can we start discussing the episodes that were not aired yet? Many people have watched 2x01 "It's Alive" and 2x02 "Waiting to Exhale" already and waiting till the end of September seems a little too long.

And wouldn't this be speculation based on the book? Again the book has been out for a while, so does that count as mainstream?

What are the rules on book spoilers, both inside and outside of the "Books vs. Show" thread?
In Series vs. Books: Things that happened in the books are not spoilers. It is assumed that people reading that thread have either read the books already or don't care.
In other threads: Plot elements from the books that look like they're going to happen on the show are spoilers. Don't go around posting "Obviously, Character X [did/did not] commit this murder" because that's what happened in the book. Once the plot point has happened on the air, the events of the book are no longer spoilers.
In spoiler threads: Don't use spoiler bars.
The overriding principle is that we're not worried about spoiling the books; we're worried about spoiling the show. People who have read the books and want to go into detail have a thread to do it in.
(Obvious exception: If someone finds out what happens in Dexter in the Dark or any future books before they come out, that would be a spoiler in any thread.)

For example the first season covers the events of the first book, while the events of the second book haven't been covered by the show, does that make a difference?
It means that events of the first book are most likely not going to be things "that look like they're going to happen on the show", so they're probably okay to talk about anywhere. For events of the second book, we'll have to see.

If you're having trouble getting the recap for episode 2 to load, I don't know what could be causing that other than "technical troubles". The "Recap, Ad, and Other Non-Forum Technical Issues" thread in the Bugs and Feedback forum is the place to go for help with reading the recaps themselves.

The actual title for the third episode is "Popping Cherry", which does not yet have a recap. When it does, the title on the front page will again be different.

For example, either all the actor/character threads will start with "ACTOR:" (or "CHARACTER:") or none of them will.
TWoP Dietrich,
When you say you'd like to implement something in this matter: ("CHARACTER:"), will the clever titles that follow still be included?
In my opinion, I think the "subtitle" that follows a character's name really spices up the forum and makes it feel less uniform than when you just have the word character and then the person's name. I hope you stick with what you have now since it seems to be working well on every other forum.

(Those are only examples; the actual descriptive text will hopefully be more interesting)

Maybe we should create an "Awards And Nominations" thread.
Go right ahead.

When can we expect a show FAQ for Dexter?
Good question. What with all the other stuff happening on the site, I suspect that FAQs for new shows are going to be awhile. I'll try to get a more useful answer, though.
