I'd call BS on the reddit finale spoilers if only because they don't make sense alongside the set photos and the casting for extras and bit characters.
Deb's in a hospital gown and there's a bunch of people like surgeons, nurses, EMTs, hospital personnel in the episode.

I don't think the producers would let Jennifer Carpenter say in the very recent press that she hopes Deb dies if that is really the plot.

We learn Saxon will play a significant role in the remainder of the season. Saxon will end up having some relationship to Vogel, probably a son- all we know is that they will be linked by a DNA test conducted in a later episode. Saxon will likely frame Zach Hamilton for Cassie's murder later in the episode as well. Dex starts teaching Zach the Code in this episode and also tries to find out why Hannah is in Miami. Turns out Julian Sands is Hannah's husband a very wealthy guy she married to survive as a fugitive. He is said to be very controlling and knows all about Hannah's past ie: her murders. Sounded like he has her under his thumb. Sands doesn't make it out of the episode. His last scene is Dexter and Hannah dumping him overboard on the Slice of Life. Deb knows Hannah drugged her in ep 6 and actually isn't that upset. She makes it seem that being all "Hannah needs to die or Hannah needs to be behind bars" would put her back on the path that she went on at the end of season 7 when she killed Laguerta. Harrison overhears that Hannah is back and seems excited, looks like he still remembers her. Dexter and Hannah still profess love for one another. I didn't ask for every single detail how we get from her drugging him and Deb to them admitting that they still love each other, I'll post more if I get more details.
Wow, okay, new episode 7 tidbits! Hannah is actually the one who kills the Sands character in episode 7! She stabs him because she 'had to' and Dexter comes in after to help her clean up the body and they dispose of it together.
There was some interaction between Dex and Sands before Hannah kills him. Supposedly Sands basically tells Dexter off and makes him understand that Hannah is with him. Wow, I can't wait to see Dexter's reaction to that.
Oh another Deb tidbit..Supposedly Deb tails Hannah, so she can't be completely ok with Hannah coming back. Will post more if I get more info.
Debra's quote about Hannah in episode 7: "She is everything wrong with our lives. She is a vortex, she is a black hole, she sucks everything in her being and leaves nothing behind. We've got to get her out of our lives."
Okay, I think I got the gist of Hannah's mindset in episode 7:
Hannah drugged Dexter to see if he'd look for her or
turn her into the police. She wants Dex to kill Myles(Sands) because she
believes Dex owes her that (for turning her into the police). But she
changed her mind because Dexter was "it" for her. Dexter is the only one
she can be honest with, and she didn't want to ruin that by
manipulating him into doing something that might be bad for him.
Oh, and Hannah tells Dexter that she loves him.
Mausuka might discover that his daughter is working as a stripper.
Zach is VERY upset w/ Dexter by the end of this episode...

Synopsis: Dexter enlists Dr. Vogel's help to lure the Brain Surgeon to a location in order to get him on the table. Later, an important person in Dexter's life is murdered before his eyes.
Dex tells Miami Metro that he is leaving. Vogel dies in this episode, the final scene has Vogel dead w/ her throat slit only Dexter & Saxon are there. More info from 10: In episode 10, Quinn meets with Debra at a cafe with roller-skating waitresses, and she tells him Dexter is leaving Miami. In another scene, Quinn and Jamie are having a meal at Angel's beach cafe. The new Marshal, Clayton (who's tracking Hannah), shows up at Deb's beach house while Deb and Hannah are both there. Miami Metro investigates a hit & run accident next to a fountain, with a dead cyclist lying in the middle of the street, and Dex and Batista have a long talk, and then they hug: it is possible Dex was telling Batista that he was leaving. Finally, there's a scene at a dock (supposedly outside Miami Metro), where Quinn & Deb talk & kiss. Dex also sets up a kill room for the Brain Surgeon-Saxon but he can't quite get him on the table. Update: I believe Harrison makes a trip to the ER or Dr. in this Ep. after an injury of some sort.
Then there's the going-away party for Dex, full of Miami Metro types, at Angel's cafe- this appears to have been bumped to Ep 11 as post funeral/Dex leaving gathering...
UPDATE 8-26-13 In episode 11: "Monkey in a Box" Thanks to Lauren & Fred222!
SYNOPSIS: Dexter is torn between fleeing the country with Hannah and Harrison, and taking Saxon out once and for all.
I'm not sure about the exact order of these scenes but here goes:
As we know, Vogel is killed at the end of Ep10 by Saxon and her funeral takes place in Ep. 11. Vogel basically dies in Dex's arms and he has to use Vogel's sink to clean the blood off his hands.
Dex tries to sell his boat to a guy who is only interested in the size of the beer cooler. He wants to get the boat inland before Hurricane Laura hits. The guy passes on purchasing the boat.
There's a mental/psych hospital scene where Dex is wearing his kill suit walking through the halls until he comes to a kill room that he recognizes from a video that Saxon made while killing Zach. This is in an abandoned psych hospital that Saxon uses as his lair.
There is a scene at Dex's apartment w/ just Deb & Dex. Dex dexides that Astor can have his car after the storm passes by. While the TV is on MUTE, playing in the background, a pic of Saxon flashes on the local news and states that he is wanted in connection with several murders. Dex leaked some evidence that implicated Saxon in even more crimes than Saxon actually committed. Dex asks Deb to leave his apartment and to go hide elsewhere b/c he fears Saxon will come looking for him. Saxon sees this same news flash while at a gas station and hurries off.
After seeing his face on the news, Saxon goes after Dex in Dex's apartment (think ITK style), and it looks bad for Dex, but then Saxon feels Deb's gun at the back of his head and Deb says, "Suprise, mother -", just like Doakes. From here, I BELIEVE this is where Dex & Deb take Saxon back to the psych hospital where Dex planned to kill him. However, before getting Saxon on the table, Dexter loses his urge to kill! After losing his urge to kill, Dex decides to leave Saxon tied up so Deb and MMPD can come arrest him. Dex and Deb have a heart to heart. Dex also decides to leave his knives behind w/ Saxon so Saxon will end up getting credit for many, many more murders (all the ones Dex committed and the BHB murders, most likely). Dex tells Deb that he will no longer need his tools as he plans to start a new life w/ Hannah in South America. They share a long hug. A bit later, Harry appears and says something like "I never thought I'd see this day you don't have an urge to kill". It is then made clear to viewers that Harry will DISAPPEAR FROM THE SERIES!!!. Dex returns to his apartment to pack & pick up Harrison. They say goodbye to Jamie and Dex locks his apartment door and heads off to meet Hannah at the airport. Harrison is carrying a rolling panda bear suitcase.
Clayton shows up at the hospital (presumably looking for Hannah) and finds Saxon; he unknowingly unties a wanted Saxon. Saxon returns the favor by killing Clayton in Ep 11. Elway is following-tracking Hannah at the airport in Ep. 11. Dexter and Harrison are at a different location in the airport at this time.
Sorry for the confusion, scenes are filmed out of order and some info is secondhand so it is difficult to follow at times.
Note: Earlier it was said the episode ends w/ Saxon breaking into Deb's apartment but that is not true. Come to think of it, this info further discredits trash432 as he claimed that Saxon broke into Debs apartment as part if his spoilers...
Ep. 12 "Remember the Monsters"
Synopsis: Season 8 and the series conclude with Dexter facing impossible odds. With a hurricane threatening Miami, Dexter becomes determined to end things his way.
Dex, Hannah & Harrison go to the airport presumably to leave for South America, but Dex becomes convinced that security is too tight and Hannah will not be able to get through (maybe?) so he phones in a bomb threat to clear the airport and the three of them leave and head to a bus station maybe... Upon arrival at the bus station, It's possible that Dex learns that Deb is in the hospital and he leaves to go help her... Later in the episode Dex is seen carrying Deb from a stretcher down to his boat w/ Deb covered by a sheet. There is a scene @ an Argentina outdoor cafe.
*ALL OF THE ABOVE INFO IS TRUE & DID NOT COME FROM TRASH432.
***MAJOR UPDATE RE: TRASH432 FINALE SPOILERS***
FYI: trash432 (the guy who provided the spoilers about Deb's death) deleted his reddit account after being called out multiple times on his failure to expand more on his very broad and vague spoiler claims... Maybe some of what he said will end up to be true but his actions cast serious doubts on whether he actually knows anything.
ETA: FULL DISCLOSURE; TRASH432 broke his silence & states he did not delete his reddit account- reddit suspended him... I'd not know what the truth is w/ this, but keep it in mind.
I have decided to remove the reddit spoilers for Ep. 12 from trash432 as I no longer believe them to be credible. Some of what was said may very well happen, i.e. Deb dying, but if she does, it was just a lucky guess by the redditor- I am all but certain he never watched the finale. There is, however, some additional legit info available about Ep. 12 and I will add it here soon.

HollaMcDollar, based on the spoilers you have read, is it only the scene in the Argentina cafe that is revealed to be just in Dexter's mind, or do other scenes imply that the entire season has happened only in his mind? For example, could it be that instead of shooting LaGuerta in last season's finale, Deb shot herself and this entire season has been Dex making up scenes in his head of what would have happened if she had shot LaGuerta instead? Not saying that's a good idea, but I could see the writers going for that kind of twist.
The comments about after seeing the finale, being able to go back for several episodes and see the foreshadowing the writers were doing, do make me wonder if they're going to go with an ending where Deb is dead and Dex decides to kill himself, or Deb is dead and it's revealed Dex is awaiting execution and is simply remembering the events that led up to his final moments. I'd frankly prefer an ending where Dex does take off with Hannah and Harrison for Argentina or someplace similar, if for no other reason than Miami Metro PD has been shown to be so incompetent that it was hard for me to believe that LaGuerta figured out Dex's secrets, much less that another cop there would also figure it out.

In my opinion, I'd be a little skeptical of the reddit spoilers.
I'm still holding out hope that this guy's spoilers aren't legit because I don't want Deb to die, I've come to care about her as much as I care about Dexter, but the more I think about it, the more it seems necessary to Dexter's story. Something big and life-altering has to happen to Dexter in the finale for it to be satisfying to the audience. Nothing Dexter has gone through over the course of the series has truly been able to change him. He's grown but nothing has made him want to change--not having a kid, not Rita being killed, not Deb discovering his secret, not different members of MMPD catching onto him at various points, not falling in love with Hannah…but Deb dying would probably be the only thing that could make Dexter stop being who he is, stop killing for good. It would completely rock his world and I could see him turning himself in as a result, or going on some crazy murderous rampage that lands him in jail, or even killing himself. I'd hope his big finish wouldn't be him just deciding to settle down with Hannah in a remote location because he's lost the urge to kill now that his sister his gone. It would feel wrong for him to get to have a peaceful life with a woman he loves when Deb had to die to show him the way, it wouldn't be a big enough payoff for me.
Still, hopefully this reddit dude is just bullshitting and Deb doesn't die, because if Showtime is considering a spin-off like some sources are suggesting, I'd want it to be Deb-centered.

As for the reddit spoilers, I say be skeptical but there could be only some truth to them. For example, I think there is an incredibly high likelihood that Deb dies- IDK any specific info, it just feels right; they did film at two different hospitals, there are pics of Deb be carried under a sheet to the boat, etc. On the other hand, a lot of what Trash432 will actual say about the finale could have been pulled from preseason teasers, still pics taken for the final days of filming and other spoilers that were already known when Trash432 "went public" with his spoilers- the legacy theme was used in a preseason teaser of Dex looking at a wall w/ framed pics of all the previous Big Bads and small bads; the stuff about the two hospitals, the bomb threat, the bus station, etc., etc. I hope to know more in coming weeks, but we shall see.
Posted Aug 9, 2013 @ 1:17 PM
Remember that the show will probably film 2 to 5 different endings, in one of them Deb dies, in another she could make it, in other Dexter dies, etc.

Holla, Thanks for all your hard work. The ending you describe is very sad. I like Deb. Dexter escaping to South America seems like an appropriate ending.

ATM I am more interested in who this mysterious "Saxon" guy in all the spoilers is, than how the show will end... Is it the boyfriend? His crying seemed fake, and I don't remember if he was introduced by name last week.
I can't believe they are going to bring in a new serialkiller 4 episodes before the show ends for good...
Posted Aug 12, 2013 @ 3:29 AM
raziela, I think it has to be the boyfriend. Almost no other point for him to be there. And I agree with you, crocodile tears were coming from his eyes.

Cassie's boyfriend's name is Oliver Saxon.
So it was Oliver that killed Cassie and not Zach? Zach looks creepy all the time. I'm surprised no one other than Quinn finds him suspicious. I think the only other competent cops on their squad were Doakes and Mike from Chicago. Doakes would have zeroed in on Zach's psychopathic tendencies in an instant.
I wish Sergeant Doakes was still alive. I think it should have been Doakes and Dex going toe to toe in the series finale.

So it is him, I thought so. Another creepy stalker then, maybe he is related to the creepy IT guy who's name I have already forgotten, you know the one that the russian killed and who also stalked Dexter.
Because the promo made it seem like Zach had set up a plastic kill room in Dexter's apt., but since we know it is Saxon, he must have his knowledge from somewhere. Maybe he is the real brainsurgeon, too? Would make sense, because the episode recaps say that Dex and Saxon are the only ones at Vogel's murder scene.
I don't think the others at the PD are that clueless, i think Mathews knows pretty well what is going on, but the monetary support is more important to him. Remember, Quinn had a witness, he phoned it in, and the witness never came forward. My guess is, that Mathews tipped the father off, who in turn payed the witness off.

If it's all in Dexter's head, then it would make more sense that Hannah has come back to Miami looking exactly the same but with better hair. And it would explain why the dialogue has been lacking any oomph. And it would explain the giant holes in the story. I'm so suspicious about the fact that they've had the ending in their heads since day 1 but Hannah was just developed last season. Seems like they might completely negate her. I don't know how I feel about Dexter being executed as a finish especially since he's possibly learning that it was all a mistake to ID him as a psychopath. I think I would prefer for Deb to die and Dex drive into a hurricane to commit suicide. A little incestual Romeo and Juliet.
Posted Aug 19, 2013 @ 11:27 PM
I'd rather it be that everything after season two is in Dex's head. Let it be Doakes who caught him.

Just found this on another (non-spoiler-centric) forum:
It dovetails with a lot of what's being talked about upthread: Dex being 'cured' and letting Saxon go (and Saxon shooting Deb), Elway and the airport/evacuation scene, the bus station, Dex running to the hospital to see Deb, Deb dying, etc. According to the source quoted in the article, Dex gives his knives and animal tranquilizer to Quinn, who finishes off Saxon and is presumably being set up for the spin-off. Deb dies, Dex and Hannah go off to Argentina (or somewhere) with Harrison. A conversation between Dex and Matthews seems to put the kibosh on the whole 'Matthews knows everything' school of thought.
Posted Sep 5, 2013 @ 7:02 PM
Well, Jennifer Carpenter has said that she wants her character to die. This is so badly written and plotted that it has to be true.
Posted Sep 6, 2013 @ 10:53 AM
Do you think this could mean that there will be a spin-off ?
Posted Sep 6, 2013 @ 9:41 PM
Man, the outrage over Deb's death (if that indeed happens) will be horrible! I might have to be off the internet for a while after this series ends? What do you guys think? Will the uprising of pissed off people be as big as it was with The Sopranos or Lost? (I liked both those endings, but I don't think I'm going to like Dexter's, but I'm not as invested in this series, so, I'll probably not care that much)

The awfulness of the spoiler leads me to think it's true, but I'm absolutely sure I saw an on-set pic of MCH and JC on the boat that was supposed to be from filming the finale that might mean it's not. JC was sitting up on a gurney, IIRC; Deb could still be dead in the scene of course, but it doesn't mesh with the spoilers.
I found the pics: http://www.spoilertv...s/Major Spoiler I *think* that's the boat. The second pic looks even more dire for Deb, but is still something that's not in those spoilers.

They're going to make QUINN the hero of this thing?! Oh, come ON! There are so many holes in that story I don't even know where to begin. I'm not saying I don't believe it, I just find it so ridiculous that it fits perfectly with the shitty writing of this season.
Why would Quinn call Dexter so many times instead of texting him after the sixth call or so, especially since the soon-to-shore hurricane could be messing with the cell network?
Why would Dexter leave Deb in the hospital knowing that she might not make it through the night? He could've sent Quinn to get them.
What has been the fucking point about Elway all summer? To be the one to not catch Hannah?
Quinn figured out what Dex was doing after the Travis Marshall case?? Not after Robocop was killed? What in the world would've tipped him off?
Dexter leaves his son in a public bus station with a known fugitive who could've so easily been caught and Harrison might've been hurt in the process? Doesn't it already say that Harrison is bleeding?
Why would Elway bring up his theory about Deb helping Hannah right then? What is the fucking point?
How in the world does Quinn M99 Saxon under the table?
Quinn is able to return Saxon to the mental hospital while a hurricane approaches?
The whole series fades to black as Dexter drives off DURING A HURRICANE in Quinn's car? Will they play "Breathe Me" by Sia?
How does the circulated image of Deb on a stretcher at the marina fit with any of this?
Wasn't the point about going to Argentina the lack of an extradition treaty with the US?
ETA: OMG, was a possible spinoff the point of introducing Masuka's daughter? Otherwise, what's HER purpose besides showing her titties in the ickiest scene of the series?
MCH was a guest on The Daily Show this week (he was so engaging and funny) and the clip prior to the interview had Dex telling Deb about leaving with Hannah but they were outdoors. That goes against the maybe-spoiler Holla listed above for Ep11.
