Mary-Louise interviewed by Variety regarding rich roles tempt film, TV.

This part is a positive for Weeds fans.

Despite the scheduling conflicts that come up for actors juggling primetime and feature gigs, Parker says she's open to doing a five-season run of "Weeds."

"I just finished season three, and if there are two more years, great. There's more to dig up for my character. I could keep digging for a couple more years."

Also Elizabeth Perkins did Variety's Pushy Questions survey.

And to end the list of Variety links, they reviewed the season premiere (so contains spoilers of the episode).

An interview with Mary-Louise Parker from CNN.com about Weeds, her character and her love for the stage, among other things. Quite an interesting read.

Yesterday I was looking around YouTube and I found this cool show within a show on "Weeds".

Good Morning, Agrestic!, Part 1 (starring Dean, Pam, Silas & Andy)
GM, Agrestic, Part 2 (with guests Celia & Isabelle)

They're both pretty funny but cheesy at the same time. Hope they make more for YouTube.

Shane Botwin is clearly made of win.

As is Showtime, and this show, now.

Those Good Morning Agrestic's are also OnDemand, for those who have it.

They're funny, but they gave away stuff for those who watched it before the third season started.

From TV Guide

Bill Sussman
Nancy becomes embroiled in more of U-Turn's nefarious gangster work; AWOL Andy turns up in disguise; and Doug and Celia both work deals with Sullivan (Matthew Modine). Also, Shane finds religion at Majestic summer school and Silas displays a good deal of talent for the family business.

Grasshopper

Silas hits it off with a fundamentalist Christian (Mary-Kate Olsen) who has a penchant for pot; U-Turn drags Nancy to a showdown with Conrad and Heylia; Sullivan asks Nancy to host a cocktail party to bring together the town leaders of Agrestic and Majestic.

I searched for clips of Mary Kate Olsen's impending appearance from 3.06. I think they go here rather than in the spoiler section because they're mainstream media and official promos.

She's not too bad, though that voice is a little weird. Looks like the character will be extremely amusing anyway though. There are a couple of other promos on that site that rhymes with boo boob, that we can't talk about if you want.

Interview with Guillermo: http://wehonews.com/...?articleID=1868

His character returned this past week, beginning a raging fire that threatens the town in order to protect his new partner, “Nancy,” from a biker gang’s attentions.

Mr. Diaz returns next week in the series finale, which he says "will blow everyone away."

He wouldn't reveal the ending, but promised it would be even more thrilling than last year’s.

His role is being picked up for next season, so it's possible that he and "Nancy" will be involved with each other - and not just as partners in crime.

"I have no way of knowing what will happen but I do know I will be back next season."

And she'd better win it!

I adore Anna Friel in PD, and I think Christina Applegate is wonderful in Samantha Who?, but both those shows are too new in my opinion for a win. Not that a new show should never win anything - I just feel that both those shows haven't given a chance to the actresses to delve into the characters more than basic introductory business. I think Tina Fey's strength is in the writing of 30 Rock, not necessarily the acting, and Betty as a character has really gone downhill this season. I don't watch Ugly Betty for America or Betty anymore - it's all about Vanessa Williams and her horde of hilarious mean-girl minions.

MLP, however, really mined Nancy this season. Regardless of whether or not we thought Nancy was being stupid with her decisions, she always made those bizarre situations work within the character. I never once thought this season "Wow, that's just really bad/inconsistent writing" (though, admittedly, some on this forum did)... I always thought "Wow, Nancy is being really idiotic with that." Yet, however frustrating Nancy could be, MLP always made her slightly sympathetic - I can never hate Nancy, despite how fucked-up she's being, and that is why she deserves the award.

I completely agree. A friend of mine just started watching the show and saw a scene where Shane was sitting at the table while Nancy, Andy, and Silas were talking about selling weed and my friend said "The kid knows about all this?" All season it seemed Nancy was doing stupid things or just dealing with things as they come on a whim, and I find myself thinking that she can sometimes be a bad person or a bad mother but I'm always sympathetic towards her in the end. It definitely has something to do with MLP's acting - she's brilliant and perfectly suited in the role and has a way of us sympathizing despite all of the insanity that she (sometimes) brings on herself. I really hope she wins.

Tim Goodman, the TV critic for the San Francisco Chronicle, did his TV's Best of 2007 list, and our show was his #6 comedy of the year!

6. "Weeds," Showtime. Few series take as many story-arc risks as this one about a pot-selling mom in the suburbs, and just when you thought it might all implode, the show actually expanded to new creative highs (pun intended). Mary-Louise Parker, Justin Kirk, Kevin Nealon, Romany Malco, Elizabeth Perkins, Tonye Patano - another woefully underappreciated ensemble cast.

So do I! She's such an incredible actress.

I agree with you totally about being frustrated with Nancy yet still sympathizing with her. It's the way MLP is able to express Nancy's pain and how this grief is the catalyst for most of what she does. It's a testament to her talent that she can do this without the character ever expressing this directly.

Here is a link to some very comforting news for us Weeds fans. Lionsgate signs WGA agreement. Lionsgate, which is the studio that produces both Weeds and Mad Men has inked a temporary deal today similar to the Letterman deal and production on season 4 should begin soon. I think this is great news and hope they can make it by their deadline and that the show still airs in August.

Just over two weeks to go, and a whole load of promo material is beginning to surface.

First off, some new wallpaper from the showtime website. I like the visual style.

Behind the scenes footage of the new season
Confirms that everyone except Conrad & Heylia will indeed be back for the new season. Also confirms that the new season wil pick up exactly where S3 left off(Silas still has a sling around his arm, Dean is still in a wheelchair, etc). No time jump, it seems. I thought there would be.

And some promo shots of the main characters. Silas looks a lot different.
