Bye Chrissy - I, for one, will miss you.

I should have known Tony would take out Chris, but like that? Wow. BTW, did anyone else think Chris was trying to commit murder-suicide by driving into the other car? It sure seemed like it (the repetition of "Comfortably Numb" also made me think that).
Loved how Tony tried to rationalize his choice, first by trying to get Carm to admit she was relieved, then adding the part about the baby's car seat (which did seem to be the catalyst to his choice). Also loved the way he modified what he said to Dream Melfi when he had his real session. That was some damn good writing.
Tony and hallucinogens should not mix. Except they make him a luckier gambler, jeez. And again with the slow-down shots. Everything's grinding to a halt for these people, and not in a pleasant way.
Been awhile since an ep of this show left me reeling. And remembering just what an absolute sociopath Tony can be (is?). At least AJ seems to be moving away from the mafia and toward education and a normal life.
Oh, and sorry about your maaa, Paulie. "Someone upstages Paulie" indeed.
Holy shit!

AJ goes Rodney King...
Tony goes Carlos Casteneda... total f'ing left field. Be the roulette ball T, nanananananana... bubbbabubbabubbba... I was waiting for Jerry Garcia to show up. Soparnos on peyote!
How much did T pull in at the roulette table?
What does the white chip mean?
The Tony and Carm dynamic = Projection 101.
All the above made Chrissie dying almost anticlimactic.
I was certain when Tony was looking at the car seat, he was going to go nostalgic, and back off. He put the "dog out of his misery" as uncle Jun once said.
"I did it" = I am the Lizard King
Tony break on through to the other side. W-E-I-R-D episode.

Kind of gave me this sense of being numb...hmmmm
My take on it is Tony is really becoming his mother in that he is unable to feel sympathy for Chris' death, since Chris to him was nothing but a problem.

Christofuh!! I can't believe it. GREAT EP! AMAZING!
At this point and you STILL can't guess where it's going and what's next!
Unfuckingbelievable!!! All the way thru!!
"I did it" = I am the Lizard King
I thought he said "I GET IT" ANYONE ELSE? Who's got, damn, what do you call it? I'm still too stunned to form complete thoughts ...

Loved The Pretenders' "I'm the Adultress" playing while Sarah was bedding Tony (or vice versa).
I suppose now Tony's on top of his game again "I did it!" now that Chris is RIP.

I had unfortunately heard a rumor that Chris was killed in an accident. But the actual cause of death was much more profound. Whoa.
Did AJ and friends sell Chris the coke?
I was thinking while still gasping over Chrissy’s death that Tony HAD to die. But then, I realized there are tons of powerful men like him who are responsible for horrible, horrible actions (wars and shit) who just keep on living despite their lack of morals, ethics, whatever. So ...
After watching the dream scene with Tony and Melfi I decided I’d like to see the series end in her office, in either a dream or “real” scene.

This episode had a very surreal feel to it. Almost like it was all a dream. It seemed to be a sort of unjust sendoff for Christopher, who's been on the show from Day 1. But maybe that's because it happened so early in the episode. Usually when a major character goes, it happens in the last few minutes - or at least in the middle of an episode with the high profile guest stars (Pantoliano, Buscemi).

I am stunned. I can't believe I was crying at Chrissy's funeral........holy crap.
Tony was going to call for help until he heard Chrissy saying he wouldn't pass the drug test. I guess he decided to eliminate a potential problem.
But........OMFG!!!!!

Crazy episode that has left me speechless. Always knew that Chrissie was not long for the world, but didn't expect it to be such an inauspicious ending. I figured that Tony would somehow be involved in his demise, but not in some effin' car accident. And agreed with the above -- loved how he tried to somehow get Carm to buy into his vision of "didn't you expect this?"

All the above made Chrissie dying almost anticlimactic.
The Christopher-loather in me loved that. No grand operatic finish for him; he was just dispatched in the first ten minutes of an episode. Not even the finale.
Clunky malaprop watch: "I was prostate with grief."

I was surprised at how early in the episode Christopher got whacked. Can't believe it. I guess I always figured it would happen, but now that it's happened, I'm still stunned.
Tony is one cold mofo. He's really amped up the sociopathic tendencies as we wind up the series.

I have been holding my breath for an hour so I need to go recover.
Will be back later...
BTW: James Gandolfini was AWESOME tonight. Arguably the best I have seen him.

What was Chris trying to say to Tony about I'll never pass I drug test- did he want Tony to pretend he was driving? I briefly thought he was asking Tony to kill him though I don't think so.
More importantly, what is the significance of AJ being amused by the toe torture and upset by the bicyclist?

My Christopher :( my favorite character on the show
I hope him and Adriana were reunited wherever they are.
I hate Tony.
More when I'm out of shock...

Two eps in a row with "Comfortably Numb" - it was playing in the car right before the accident, and Tony was singing it last week.

What goes around....I hope him and Adriana were reunited wherever they are.
I was thrilled to see the end of Chris. He won't be seeing Ade.
Damn yall. I need to rewatch.
ETA:
I'm also thinking Tony has to die before this is all over. I'm both loathing and loving him right now and it's twisted. Gandolfini really delivered in this ep.

And the beat goes on and on and on and on and on.....
What an undignified death for Chrissy; dammit! I'm STUNNED.
This show has official gone down the "EFF you" trail/path. Call me a masochist, cuz I LIKE it!
Carmela noticed SOMETHING about Christopher's face. I'm wondering what it was. I note the resolution in her face, something clicked, the final puzzle piece fell into place.
Also: did anyone think that the rear view mirror in the Vegas car Tony drove looked EXACTLY like a gun, pointing at his head, right at the temple? I thought it was me at first; then they showed the scene again. The mirror and its attachments looked like the same gun in "Sopranos," save for this time, it pointed at Skip. CREEPY.
Tony is SO relieved he finally handled Christopher; ma'don! He's on a lucky roll: drugs, sex, money, rock 'n' roll. "Whoo-hoo! Bye, Chrissy!"
It sucks to be a Moltisanti (fan).

Also, did someone else die besides Chris? I thought I saw someone else in the wreck scene but that might have been my imagination.

It occurred to me today that after last week's episode, Chris might Artie Bucco into the night, but I never imagined this.

Must watch this again. Must. This show is like a car wreck. You can't take your eyes off it.

I don't understand why the baby seat would prompt him to finish Chrissy off. Wasn't the baby seat about Tony having second thoughts?
