There's only two phrases that can make me smile.
#1: Friday Night Lights is goin' to State and then getting a second season....and....
#2: The results are in and Tim Riggins is the father.

Get to it, kids!

Just...beautiful.

Britton and Chandler (who are currently on live chat at www.nbc.com) are simply incredible; the entire cast is.

NBC, do the right thing. Make Tim Riggins the father and bring this show back.

While I clean up the shattered fragments of my head, let me just say that this was one of the best seasons in television history, and I was clapping along with the team all the way. As far as I know anything I know this: we WILL get another season.

So what is coach Taylor going to do.

I'm speechless about how good this episode was.

I'm 39 years old and I've watched many good TV shows over the years - I mean some really good ones. But "Friday Night Lights" is the best show I've ever seen through its first season.

Awesome. It was just beautiful.

But when the DvD comes out, there better be a shitload of deleted scenes.

So many tears. The opening scene? Wow. Wonderfully amazing.

I just don't understand why this totally high quality show might not be renewed for a whole season. Absolutely ridiculous.

The slow clap!! They did the slow clap! The "Rudy" clap...the...every other sports movie clap!

Beautiful.

Street comes full circle, becomes the Coach. Saracen becomes a man ("I was with your daughter." deal with it.) Smash chooses his team over himself. Riggins chooses the kid without the MILF sex. Will Coach be a man too? Or will Tami become the man of the house?

Oh. My. God. That was the best episode of the season. I'm just so...yay! You know, I haven't felt this giddy since the Colts won the Super Bowl.

The look on Kyle Chandler's face after she told him she was pregnant was so great! It will be interesting to see what he is like with the baby.

On a side note, I do wish we had more MaJules, but that's okay. And, I do wonder about Smash's injury.

Beautiful conclusion to a beautiful season. Poor Landry. How cute was he with all the "female talk?"

Oh, and I'm pretty sure when coach was hugging Matt after the game, his hair was saying, "hell, you can sleep with my daughter right now!"

They sure did leave that wide open, didn't they?

How much did I love the scene of Tami and Eric on the porch. Perfect example of the amazingess of this show.

Julie defending her Dad to Matt, even despite being so upset with him herself? Loved it.

Another favorite scene was the halftime speech, with the shots to each player's family member as Taylor told them to think of the people they loved. Beautiful.

I don't think I'm going to be able to deal with months without this show. I don't know what I'm going to do if it's anything beyond that.

Absolutely unreal. The BEST episode of the entire season, now that its over.

I LOVE YOU COACH TAYLOR!!!!!! I know you aint going to leave.

God damn this episode.

Matt is my fucking hero. Just WOW. That winning play, his attitude toward Coach, just everything he did was off the charts.

Thank god we got some MaJules. I was a little worried we werent going to get any.

The car ride with Landry and the ladies was so funny. "How's the stripping?" LMAO.

GO LYLA!!!!!!!! You start all over again girl.

I am going to miss this show sooooo much, you have no idea. And while a 2nd season is around the corner, its still gonna be hell.

I. Love. This. Show.

Oh, so much love! What a fine way to close out a fine, fine season of television. (Although I'm pretty sad that the finale's in April!)

Maureen Ryan was right--Kyle Chandler's hair WAS agitated in the halftime scene!

One thing continues to bother me, though: Smash, Riggins and Jason are all seniors (and they're all good players), meaning they were most likely varsity last year, right? So my question is--how did Dillon NOT make it to State last year? I would have liked to have known how far the team got, and what was responsible for their ultimate device.

My mother seems to think Tami and Eric are in their late 30s. What's everyone else's opinion? And speaking of the Terrific Two, what a fabulous scene on the hotel balcony. There was so much love between them that I almost felt like an intruder.

I just can't say enough how much I lovelovelove this show. What a wonderful episode! I HATE FOOTBALL AND I ACTUALLY CARED THAT THEY WON THE GAME! I can't believe that. Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton do such a beautiful job of depicting a loving married couple. I was laughing/crying at the baby revelation. And poor Matt Saracen, with the hurt, betrayed looks he kept shooting Coach. BREAKING. My heart is BREAKING. I love you, Friday Night Lights. Please come back.

Absolutely wonderful episode a perfect season finale to a perfect season.

I usually find myself tearing up at some point during almost every episode, but I didn't even make it to the opening credits before I started bawling when Tami found out she was pregnant.

This was a beautiful episode and there's no way this is the last one. There will be a second season! By the way, of those who read Mo Ryan's blog on the Chicago Tribune site, I thought she said that Tyra would kiss Landry on the cheek, but I either missed it or they cut it out - did anyone see that?

That was utterly fantastic. I still need to collect myself a little bit, but I can say right now that the scene where the Panthers walk into Texas Stadium right at the peak in "Your Hand in Mine" was absolutely perfect. In a season of beautiful music direction, that scene blew every other one away.

How can this show not come back?

That was about as close to perfect as any hour of television I've ever seen. I was absolutely riveted the entire time, and not one character moment seemed wasted. Even if, God forbid, there isn't another season, this one played out beautifully.

This show makes me cry as to how amazing it is. It shocks me as to how good television this show is.

There are so many segments which just leave you in awe. When they walk into the locker room and on to the field. When Smash hits that last touchdown to win and the parade scene.

This show is the best on television.

I don't know where to start. This show is just... breathtaking. From the writing to the acting to the directing, I don't think I've ever seen a show consistently fire on all cylinders. NBC, you would be fools to let this show go. You hear me?!

I'm not quite sure what to make of the end, but I'm still awed by the awesomeness of this episode.

First off - poor frickin' Landry in that car with all that talk about hot flashes and tampons!

When the guys first walked into that locker room in Texas Stadium and saw their names and jerseys - all choked up.

The Voodoo/Smash talk was intense.

And speaking of Smash....his playing with a separated shoulder was reminiscent of Emmit Smith (a Cowboy) playing with a separated shoulder in the final game of the 1993 season against the Giants when the NFC East and home field advantage was on the line. Nice.

Why wasn't Waverly at the game??

Lyla and Tyra BFFs??? Hmm???

Coach...must....stay.

FNL...must...get...renewed. End of story!

Is it next season yet??

Damn. That was just so good! I'm simply amazed!

I would've loved to be in Landry's car during that ride! That was awesome. I really like the idea of Tyra and Lyla being friends.

Man, I hope this show gets picked up. It's just gonna be devastating if it doesn't.

As DrunkenBee says...too busy crying.

OMG, the authencity of this is beyond anything I've know. Down to the hose that the drill team girls are wearing!! Are they models who look unrealistic wearing shit that looks like a stripper? No, of course they aren't. They are drill team girls wearing monotone hose under their sequins uniforms because that is how it is in high school.

Hello Matt Saracen! Nice to meet you! Good LORD. The stare was on full force tonight.

You guys, there is so much I need to pick apart about this episode (all in good ways). I absolutely loved the payoff of Lyla and Tyra.

This series is just rich. Rich in so many ways and this episode brought it to the forefront. We have met the crown jewel, and I feel lucky to have found it.

Throughout the episode, I kept looking at the amount of time left and thinking "God, I hope there's a second season". I cannot fathom this fantastic show not continuing.

Regarding the finale, I'm sure I'll be in the minority on this one, but I wish it would have paralleled the movie and they would have lost. On a show that does such a fabulous job with realism, I would have found a Panthers loss far more realistic than a come from behind, make up a 26-0 deficit in the second half victory.

There simply are not enough words to express my adoration for this show. I cried and cried and cried.
The final montage, when I finally realized they were re-playing "Devil Town"? Fucking bawling.

Please, NBC, renew this show.
