I hope this is okay to start! I used to play a lot over on the VM boards and it is REALLY fun. With all the awesome quotes from The Office, I was kinda surpirsed this game hadn't already been introduced(I searched and didn't find it.)

So, to start us off, I'm going to quote Inigo Montoya, who started the VM game:

The rules are fairly straightforward. You get a point each for the speaker, the person to whom they are speaking and the episode. If the setter has done a theme, there are bonus points for getting the theme, which are announced at the start. Usually, bonus points are reduced if a hint is required.

The theme can be anything that links the quotes together. People can get very devious! Also, a quiz can be as many or as few quotes as you want. No limit.

The person who tallies up the most points, gets to start the next round.

It seems a lot harder than it is, you'll catch on quickly. :)

I've got a quick one to start. There is a theme connecting the quotes, 15 points for the theme.

5. Okay, you know what? Okay. No, no problem. You're lucky you have me, I am going to cover for you.

Wow, I watch every episode over and over but I only know #3.

Well, guess it! See, what will happen is people will(hopefully) come in and say #2 was said by blank to blank, but I can't remember the episode. And then that may trigger someone else to say OH! that was said in blank. Does that make sense? Guess what you know, and just guess to guess too!

Oh, my goodness! Yay! (Also, my next guess would've been "Who are three people who have never been in my kitchen?" Heh.)

I happily cede my turn if someone has something all ready to go, but I'll definitely think about it & try to come up with one if there are no takers.

p.s. Definitely fun. (I was worried I might have to do some actual work in my own office today!)

Actually, partial guesses count, so you three different people can get points on one answer. Does that make sense? At least that's how it was played at the VM forums. Gives everyone a shot at getting a turn. :)

Oh, points aren't cumulative. We only counted points for each individual quiz. I feel like an ass because I keep saying "We did this, we did that." Really, however you guys want to play is good. I'm just glad people think it's fun. :)

I like the cumulative points thing...otherwise just guessing the theme is the only thing that I'll be doing. Why waste time on getting the quotes? Oh wait, this is supposed to be a game... for fun. Right. That's why I was madly refreshing every three seconds. :)

But not if we use 10 quotes, as opposed to five. I only used five to get it going. But like I said, whatever the majority opinion is, I'm all for.
