Damn. That was a fun thread. I hope, at least, that the Big Damn Crash found it delicious.

Does anyone know when we have another Kripke-written episode due? His episode usually make me a very, very happy person. He gave is flaming!Jessica, "Jerk" "Bitch", Daddy hugs, Exorcized Meg, Winchesters as fireman, possessed!John, "No, sir. Not before everything," smashed!Impala, "Bad moon rising." And, oh yeah, the whole damn series. I've been enjoying this season quite a lot, and Sera and Raelle have been rocking this year, but I want another Kripke episode!

I want another Daniel Ehrman episode. "Provenance" is one my all-time favs. Plus maybe then we'll see Sarah again, who has been the coolest girl-of-the-week so far, imho.

Next ep is written by Ben Edlund, and two episodes after that is Cathryn Humphris, but I don't know who has written (writes? wrote? - what's the grammar for an episode written and produced but not yet shown?) the one in between. This is all according to tv.com.

I want to here more about these lesbian girlcrushes. Don't be ashamed to go into explicit detail.

Eh, Witten has now written my two least favorite episodes this season, so I'm not really viewing him any more favorably at the moment.

I would also like to see another ep by Daniel Ehrman too, and I'd really like a good Ben Edlund episode too, because I've really enjoyed his past work.

1.Sera's next episode of Supernatural, "Houses of the Holy," airs Thursday, February 1 at 9 p.m. on the CW. It's about angels. But in a gnarly, unfuzzy kind of way.

That's from her website.

Thus my hope that Ms Gamble will feel up to taking on the character of Sarah (not her creation). It's not like the resemblance is uncanny or anything... But I can only suppose some 'author insertion' when it comes to writing scenes with Padalecki would be energizing.

And have we looked at her other writing accomplishments? Bodes well for Sam.

Ha, karasu, energizing is certainly one way to put it! But yes, I would love to see the promised "Sam finally gets his poor self some" episode as handled by Sera Gamble. In fact, I rather wish they'd leave all the gay entendre to her as well, I get the feeling she could write it without having it come off like a lead balloon.

I guess it's too late to offer a sacrifice to Ba'al on Edlund's behalf. The previews looked really cool and full of action, so maybe this one will be so good it will wipe the blot of "Simon Said" off his reputation.

It's about angels. But in a gnarly, unfuzzy kind of way.

This sounds cool. Heh, I wonder if somehow they will contrive to show Led Zeppelin's Swan Song image, what with the episode title and all.

From your keyboard to Ms Gambles ears. I'm not high on the 'Get Sam Laid' idea, because I prefer maintaining a consistent character over skin. (I don't object to the skin per se. But porn is easily available.) On the other hand, if it is an element of a character evolving story, let 'er rip. (Sam's pants, that is.) But it would take a real story, not just a random yank.

I wrote an email to Ms Gamble with that very comment, in fact. In her reply she mentioned that she finds it gratifying that we are so concerned about the details (very funny, Ms G) and who the boys sleep with. So at least that writer is looking out for our concerns.

(And yes, I know Padalecki is beautiful. But I think the David is beautiful, and amazing though it may sound, given the opportunity to have sex with either one, I would decline for the simple reason that it would be painful for me because one wrong one would be hard.)

I'm actually having a hard time deciphering that, because the idea sort of made my brain futz (well, and the comparison with David, because, yes. And yowza). But if you mean that it would be less difficult to watch from a distance than to engage and have it go wrong, I can get behind that. (If you meant that one of them is a statue, well, yeah, ouch! Hee.)

Someone mentioned in another thread that much of the appeal of The X-Files was the unresolved tension between Mulder and Scully - though the scenario would have to be different for Supernatural, I'd also rather have the tension than gratuitous cheap shots for the sake of cheap shots; unless, as you said, it serves the development of the story of the character (or, ideally, both).

Stupid work with interruptions that make it hard to post coherent thoughts... ptui.

Probably yes. :-)
To me, they represent the very definition of UST and the prime example of a couple who should have not gotten together until the very last episodes of the show.

Godmother, I was with you on the whole "should not have gotten together" bit, but you lost me on "until the last episode".

I will try to wipe the memory of the whole Mulder/Scully baby thing from my mind, but it's difficult. . .Wincest has no squick factor for me. Mulder/Scully. . .that's gross and unnatural.

They ruined it anyway with the stupid baby story. I remember participating in internet discussions about the show and being firmly in the "no macking until the last 2 minutes of the last episode, at the earliest" -camp. In my fantasy world, that's still how it happened. No babies.

Mulder and Scully were meant for each other, just not on our TV screens.

It's nice to see an episode that the entire fandom can agree on. We haven't see this since......No Exit? A lot of people were pretty unified in that hate.

Between Simon Said and the lame director's clip, I was already for this to suck, but goddamn Edlund. Goddamn! You had me with shooting Ron and you didn't let go. Completely redeamed.
