Well, at least it's better than Vanished.
Infomercials are better than Vanished imo.
Kidnapped is my second favorite show of the season so put me down on the "loved it" column.
The actors are terrific and while there are plenty of clichés I don't mind them when they're well portrayed. Good acting (thanks to an experienced adult cast) gives me hope for later less cliché contrivances.
I liked the production values and the pacing was good.
Being French I am bound to scream at bad pronunciation and Leopold will surely drive me nuts in that regard. I'll try to remember his "The Big Blue" poster in his bedroom and not wish him ill just for that.
Is it too early (or wrong) to hope that Knapp wears a "what would Creepy Jesus bomb?" tee shirt?
I miss Six Feet Under. *sigh*
Anyhoo I'm glad Sisto got a character who's very different from Billy Chenowith.
I'm happy to see Williamson again. I loved him in Boomtown (I miss that show too, well the first season anyway).
I'm not very familiar with Delaney, she's a HITG for me but she did a great job here and her speech at the end while very formulaic still worked for me. She managed to sell it even though it was a series of stinker lines. Again, if the right emotion is portrayed I'll forgive the platitudes.
I saw Ramson but I had completely forgotten Lindo was in it and I think it was a good thing as I may have cringed a little at seeing him play the FBI lead here as well.
The only sore spot I had was the father. I can't explain why really, I just didn't connect with him, his fear, his worry, his anger...it all fell flat. Acting, writing? Not sure which to blame so I'll hold my judgement.
All in all, I'm pretty excited about this show and I wish it gets picked up by the network and TWoP for more than one season.
