No big surprises there. The promos throughout pretty much made it obvious who was chosen in the end.

This week, on a very special Janice Dickinson Model Agency... female ass-crack.

In other news..

Janice did her version of either Clockwork Orange or Moulin Rouge ring-leader with that get up in the final scene.

Nyabel gets delusional, Nathan starts growing a white boy-fro, Sorin is an ass and looks old (though still hot), Claudia learns she was basically a gimmick, and Peter is jealous of TJ and his womanizing.

And my was the speech at the end with Peter, Janice and casting guy stilted and painful to listen to, it was like some bad school presentation on Abraham Lincoln or something.

Now that I think about it, it was rather painfully obvious that Peter was deeply envious of TJ's ability to date the models without coming off like a deeply unethical sleaze. I'm not sure if it's just clever editing, but there's something not quite professional about the way he looks at Fargo.

Maurice is still as robotic as he was on Manhunt and Stina is adorable. I'll miss my Tuesday night dose of crazy ass Janice. Anyone know if this show is going to have a second season.

Wow, Sorin brought something other than tears! Color me surprised.

For me, the finale was a rather unsatisfying end to an unsatisfying season. There was no real drama in people getting axed, because I had no idea who half of these people were, and I've watched every episode! I couldn't even identify some of the models who made it to the management team. I know Stina, Dakota, Nyabel, Big Teeth Girl, 1-800 Dentist Guy, and Shaggy Haired Guy Who Always Gets Booked. Oh, and Crybaby Sorin and Claud who we haven't seen since episode 2. I wasn't excited for the "winners" and I wasn't sad for the losers, basically because there's been no discernible story arc when it comes to the models.

I never thought there could be something such as a series that was too Janice-centric. I was wrong.

Our TWOPer poster Chrisann got booted (sorry Chrisann) partly because she wouldn't get naked. I'm not good with the names but, skinny dude that got his hair punked cut, girl who cried after getting cut for Ed Hardy, Petra, Sorin, some 17 year old girl, Claudia the tranny.

Boy, that whole thing was so unprofessional and gross -- I mean, I know they need to show-not-tell in order to have a television show, but to gather everyone in a big room, then pull people out individually to get the axe? While they're getting their hair done? That made no sense. And to follow it up with that mess out on Sunset Blvd...just yuck.

And what possible business is it of the agents' as to who the models date? Even if they date each other? That was just weird.

So now that the season is over, I do think Janice should just be a model and photographer and forget the agency. I hate the way she gushes to people and makes them prance around naked and says how great they are, then turns around and tells them how much they suck and can't expect to be models. I hated the way she started disrespectfully calling Claudia "Claude" -- Janice, she's chosen to be female and live as Claudia, so it's really shitty to bray out your little male nickname for her.

Argh. So there is such a thing as too much Janice, after all.

So that's it...the end...honestly, I was unimpressed as well. I do have to say one thing....I understand why some of the models were upset about being put on the testing board. We went through hell with Peter and Janice, we were told MANY things that were bull sh#%, and I have a feeling this "new faces" thing is more for "in case we need to keep our hooks in you to use you some more" instead of a legitimate place in the agency. We had all pretty much had it by that last day. There was a lot of "discussion" that took place between the models on the last day. What you saw from those that complained was legitimate frustration. After the whole experience, I was actually relieved when I wasn't chosen for the agency. I think that after careful consideration, not necessarily because of Janice (I quite enjoyed her wildness) but because of others, I would probably have declined the offer.

To the contrary, I thought that Sorin looked much younger when he was unshaven on this episode. All along I'd figured he was in his mid-30s, but when the caption saying he was 26 appeared under the scruffy picture, it actually made sense.

As for Claudia...I knew it was going to end badly, but my favorite line of the night was after she was cut, Janice hugged her and said, "I love you, GET IT?" ...Way to shoehorn in a catchphrase there, Jan. Nothing like mixing compassion with intimidation.

Overall the show had it's moments, but I won't be hurt if it doesn't come back. At least I don't have to be hit with all of those promos of Shannen Doherty's asymmetrical bitchface anymore.

It's never cool to treat your place of employment as a dating service. The problems it can cause are too many to count.

Although I hated Andrew's stupid haircut, I too was really surprised that he was cut. For someone who wasn't ready, he certainly got hired enough. And Petra? Girlfriend had awesome still shots.

Fargo glammed up! Who knew? And not Paris Hilton glammed. She looked great.

I tended not to take of any of the seriously, but I thought it was cruel to drag everyone to Sunset Boulevard, announce the decisions, and then display a billboard that didn't feature everyone there.
All Janice all the time. What a whacko.

I loved that Janice was voice-overing about how she was able to take Fargo out of her usual slutty place while the show is showing us a picture of Fargo in the LBD with her leg slung over the arm of a chair. I have this theory about men from the European Eastern Block. They are absolutely beautiful until their mid to late 20's and then all the boozing and smoking comes crashing in on them. While watching Sorin, who I find undeniably yummy, I couldn't help thinking, "Well, honey, you could have a GREAT career in European Gay Adult films." Seriously, then man would be snatched up like THAT to play gay for pay.

Word. I was really pissed off by Janice's treatment of Claudia. Whoever said Claudia found out she was basically just a gimmick was right. Janice and her cronies were never serious about letting her model. She was just on the show for sensationalism. Also, Janice dressing Claudia up as a "man" and calling her 'Claude' was completely disrespectful and mean. Claudia seems really sweet, respectful, professional, and willing to do whatever she needs to to get work. She doesn't have the ego and sense of entitlement that a lot of the other models seem to. Also, she's smoking hot. I think that's why Janice's crappy treatment of Claudia make me dislike Janice way more than any of her other hypocritical and/or downright weird behavior.

Overall, I thought this show wasn't really good. The editing was a disaster. It was completely incoherent and didn't have any real plot lines. Everything they made the models do, including all of their "jobs," were completely staged for the TV. I do not believe for one second that the JDMA could actually function as a real agency. Most of the models were completely un-modelesque. Those few who with real potential better follow Brittany's example and switch to a real agency, if they know what's good for them. Janice's mood swings, lack of professionalism and rude behavior were really irritating. The gratuitous nudity felt way too much like sexual harrasment to be appealing. The way Janice strung Claudia along was appalling.

So, in conclusion: Fuck you, Janice.

Well I guess I'm in the minority of people who actually enjoyed the episode. Seeing Janice photograph the models is always great. Seeing who was cut was exciting too. Though the process in which it was done was a bit puzzling. If she cut EVERYONE that was called, what was the point of telling them they were cut? I mean, she calls your name and you basically know you're cut. With exception to TJ, I guess, who I seriously loathe and believe should have been cut. Also, seeing Andrew cut was really sad. I loved that guy. Sorin's attitude was surprising but unsurprising, you know? I mean, I figured he'd have a really righteous attitude, but didn't expect him to actually show it.

It was hard to take Janice and the models' optimism about the agency and its future seriously. I am intrigued to see a second season of this show to see if the agency has any ounce of success, if it even still exists.

So sorry Sorin, but my lust for you cooled with that 'tude. I'm sure Janice is right about him hustling, whether for real or metaphorically. I would've loved to hear her tell him "gay porn" the way Joey's agent on "Friends" used to. I hope you and that tight, hard, muscled, gorgeous ass of yours make your way into Playgirl (if it was good for Mark Kleckner...but that was LONG ago).

I still don't get the appeal of Nyabel. I think of Beth on "NewsRadio" and her line about "exotic" meaning "ugly". Yeah, Nyabel's exotic all right.

Of the featured models, I expect Crystal and Stina to get the most business for women, and John and Tony for the men (love Paul and TJ Wilk, but those two seem more versatile).

I think having a followup show would be interesting, but maybe not a second season. Unless we have more of batshit Janice falling down everywhere.

I couldn't agree more! Andrew was one of my favorite and the kid was an amazing model. Peter's an idiot for cutting him. I'll tell you one thing though, another agency was fast to pick him up and he's been getting quite a bit of work from what I hear. I love that guy-such a cool personality and such talent.

I agree....I thought Fargo still looked slutty in the high fashion photos. Sure, the plot of the photos may have looked high fashion but the point remains....she still looked like a T&A girl trying to be high fashion.

One thing to remember when asking questions about the JDMA and if it exists, still exists, etc. Is this...

Remember how Janice's agency wasn't yet licensed at one point so she hired Peter? Hmm.... if you do some research on Peter you'll learn about Nouveau Models (they are licensed...hmmm). Also, keep in mind that at no time during the show do we see the models being given and/or signing contracts (In my opinion, if you're going to do a show about someone starting an agency, the contract thing would be a big deal)..... just some thoughts & interesting points to ponder.

And speaking of revenue, I really hate those cue card monologues of Janice trying out her Econ for Dummies vocabulary.

Janice was so awful to Claudia who demonsrated so much class throughout the season. I also loved that she was so modest about being attractive (as a man or woman).

I thought that the "sophisticated" hair, makeup & clothing on Fargo added 20 years to her appearance.

I still don't get Britney/Brittany: her eyes slant down at the outer corners. Otherwise, she's cute, but still...

I thought Stina was adorable saying that she recognized the flower & the dress but not her own face. She's grown on me a lot even though I think those really dark freckles are distracting.

Not sure really how I feel about the last ep other than her purple outfit in the Sunset Boulevard scene made me want to throw up, rent Batman & paint my bathroom a muted pommegranite meets perky aubergine in a dark alley neutral tone, all at the same time.

What was with JD's perkiness & whole 'whoa I made it, I am proven success as a business woman' vibe at the end? Is that legit? Is her agency still up and running and making money?

I am so glad I am not the only viewer to have found Nyabel - and her unwarranted sense of entitlement & attitude - to be less than model material. Thank you eyechart for giving voice to what I've thought since the beginning of the show.
