ETA: That was supposed to be a question, Glark, not a statement assuming you'd just hop-to and do it, so thank you very much in advance.

TalkFast, I hear ya, but look at it this way: we've had months to get to know our fellow Studio 60 fans (did we ever decide what to call ourselves? Studiots?) and chew over every little piece of buzz, giving us a context when the show actually starts. Sports Night had long since signed off and TWW was in its second season before I discovered this site, so I'm enjoying putting the board cart before the show horse, for a change.

It's very rare that a network will allow a Canadian network to run a simulcast show before the US airtime, so I'm thinking this is a mistake. We'll find out in just over a month, I guess.

I'm still in the "Stripper" camp. "Studiot" sounds like a hybrid of "stupid" and "idiot" to me.(did we ever decide what to call ourselves? Studiots?)

Although, there is something supremely geeky about picking your own "cool" nickname.

Channel "We've got nothing better to do than to waste our time with inane Aussie Rules Shows" 9 has just been announced as the station that is going to have the Oz rights for S60...
So now I have to put up with Mr Eddie-I'm-so-holy-my-shit-doesn't-even-stink-McGuire dicKtating where the show will go....
Excuse me... I have some coffeecups that need busting!
(however on the up side I guess... at least we are going to get it!)

For any viewers in Ireland. TV3 announced that they are going to be showing Studio 60 in the new schedules, but I don't know when it will start.
Cool. I've been pestering RTE to confirm if they're going to show it and and they've been pretending never to have even heard of it. I didn't even think TV3 might be a possibility. That's great news.

What will the show be up against on Mondays? I've already watched the pilot, so maybe I'll see what else is on that night.[/sacrebleu]I haven't been following the scheduling of the show since I last heard a couple of months ago that Studio 60 was going to be Thursday nights opposite Grey's Anatomy. Anyway, I figured I'd just mention that I'm very happy that Studio 60 will now be on Monday nights, because otherwise it may have faced some stiff competition (especially since, at least in my experience, a lot of West Wing fans were also GA fans).

Just CSI: Miami since What about Brian won't premiere until Oct 9.What will the show be up against on Mondays? I've already watched the pilot, so maybe I'll see what else is on that night.[/sacrebleu]
In fact CSI: Miami is starting on the same day, Sept 19. Which makes sense, CBS lost out on the bidding so they're going to try to crush it out of the gate.
ETA: The whole game of chess over thursday night was proabably the most interesting tv story of the summer. Because as I see it NBC first put S60 at 9pm Thursdays to re-start their long dormant Must See TV Thursdays and it shows how highly they regarded that show.
NBC thought it could survive at Thr at 9pm against CSI but then ABC dropped a bombshell by moving Grey's Anatomy at 9pm which made NBC retreat and pull S60 out of harms way.
So instead of a night of The Office/My Name is Earl, S60 and ER (with the Black Donnelly's to take over for ER midseason) you get Deal or No Deal, Heroes, and S60.
I think The Office is a much better lead-in than Heroes for this show.

Surely you mean Monday the 18th. I mention it only because the 19th keeps popping up and people are getting confused (there have been questions). But the 19th is a Tuesday.Sept 19.

Or, if you're like me, you'll TiVo it on the 18th, watch it either on the 18th or 19th, then watch it again on the 20th despite not having deleted it from TiVo yet =)

You must and I mean must add this to the YKYOWS60 thread, this statement should romp and play with its friends, its only right....Or, if you're like me, you'll TiVo it on the 18th, watch it either on the 18th or 19th, then watch it again on the 20th despite not having deleted it from TiVo yet =)
ETA: Thanks for the info re rebroadcast, I don't have tivo, so now know I can watch it again, not nearly quickly enough mind you, but sooner than I had any right to imagine...!

I have Dish TV's DVR and just went and did a search for the keyword "Studio"... Nothing showed up! It searches a 10 day block. Then I changed the keyword to "Whitford" and bam! Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip appeared! Obviously I set it to record every week from a minute before the hour until a minute after the show ends (every network's clock is a bit different).
This makes me think that programmers somewhere have screwed up the entry. I hope some network noob is reading this.
