RISD rocks though, and her portfolio looked beautifully illustrated. She would've been perfect for the Sasha Cohen challenge.

If she does swimwear, she probably knows more about exotic fabric and how to use it as well as how to repair any overlock machine ever made.
She needs to get more air time.

Now that I see the show again, I realise they really didn't give it very much camera time, and when they did it wasn't from far enough back to really take it in all at once.

She kinda looks like she should be carrying a flag in the Opening Ceremonies of the Winter Games. Whenever she appears onscreen, the Atlas apartments transforms into the Olympic Village.
THANK you, nowrite2000! There was this niggling feeling in the back of my brain about Katherine, and you've revealed the source. I kept subconciously wondering where Shaun White and Gretchen Bleiler were.
So far, I think Katherine is hands-down adorable. I like her outfit from the first challenge a lot, especially since she was able to use that comforter without making her model look like the Stay-Puff marshmallow man. (I'm looking at you, Bradley!)

I'd suspect that Katie has turned a comforter into clothes before. She took most of the feathers out before sewing (which Bradley didn't do)--that was the source of the feathers Jeffrey's model used for her "grand entrance."

I love that she used a quilted comforter to make something sporty, but sort of elegant too because she's probably worn plenty of quilted down between snowboarding and MN.

Her butch outfits and dreadful posture on the runway make me cringe. She needs to stand up straight and look like a lady now and then. I'm Laura, by the way.

If she doesn't know how to make herself look fabulous, how can she do this for others?
Don't lots of designers and stylists manage that? OK, so the only one I can think of now is that stylist from S1 of What Not to Wear. Can anyone help me out here?
I mean, even Michael Kors could rethink the accessorizing. Ix-nay on the Oompa-Loompa skin.

And never. Ignore. Tim. Especially when he gets THAT excited about a hoody.
