Who were you rooting for? Who makes you want to vomit on sight?

Favorites
Monica, Season 2. She was bonkers, but also the most normal, in a way. Or maybe she just looked more normal since she was sharing a room with people like Krista and Nicole. But she was hilarious and spawned the (in my head, at least) unofficial Big Brother catchprase: It's on!

Will, Season 2. He was great, very entertaining. Even if he wasn't absolutely hysterical, he'd have to be one of my favorites just for that derogatory "Nicole Doll" he made with the hairy armpits and bad attitude. And for screwing over Nicole and Hardy for a giant can of peanut butter.

Danielle, Season 3. With the exception of Will, I thought Danielle was the greatest schemer I had ever seen on this show. She seemed to be the true puppetmaster of that house and other than Jason, nobody seemed to have the slightest clue. I still think she should have won. Plus, she was pretty much responsible for the hilarious fight that erupted when Gerry put his nasty hands! In the salad! Good times.

Jason, Season 3. He was a really nice guy, so I think he's gameplay kind of got overlooked. He definitely let Danielle do a lot of his dirty work, but he did play a part in that alliance. He was a loyal alliance-mate and an all-around good guy, and he practically made it to the end without being an asshole, a rarity, I think.

Dana, Season 4. She was very entertaining because she was just completely out of her mind. "Don't piss me awwwf"? The huge bug eyes? I can't. Love ya, Dana!

Holly, Season 5. She's another one I found very amusing because of her sheer insanity. Honestly, she talked to the mannequin randomly chilling in her living room. She cracked me up.

Dave, Season 4. I thought he was cool; I liked how he didn't take the game too seriously, especially compared with some of his housemates, like paranoid Dana, "the world is in my hands!" Jee, and constantly-scheming Jun. Plus, wasn't he the one behind the game of Duck Ball? Or maybe he didn't. Was that in Season 3? I'm all confused now. Regardless, I liked Dave.

Shannon, Season 2. I should find her completely appalling, but I just couldn't help but find her hilarious. I read a BB2 recap for old time's sake and one of Jessica's polls asked who was the most evil member of Chill Town, and about 100 more people voted for Shannon than SATAN. I think she just amused me in a wide-eyed "Who does that?" kind of way because... who does that? Would it ever occur to you, after an argument, to clean the toilet with someone's electric toothbrush?

Least Favorites
Nicole, Season 2. Ugh, she was just awful. Angry, bitter, paranoid, and completely devoid of any sense of humor. Her downward spiral was exhausting to watch; I couldn't even find her brand of crazy entertaining.

Hardy, Season 2. Vain, arrogant, best friends with Nicole. Need I say more?

Scott, Season 5. Arrogance is my least favorite trait in a human being, and if there is no funny to balance it out (like Will), I pretty much loathe your existence. The main thing I remember about him was his bragging about when he rolled into clubs, the music would stop and everyone would look at him. Get out of my face. Basically if Wes from The Real World- Austin/current Fresh Meat Challenge wasn't the ugliest person on the planet, he would be Scott.

Marcellas, Season 3. The divinity complex was a bit much.

Josh, Season3 . If his personality wasn't annoying and awful enough, there was always that voice. I get the chills just thinking about it.

Cowboy, Season 5. Pathetic isn't even the word.

Favorite Least Favorites
Alison, Season 4. I won't deny that she was an awful human being -- her glee about being nasty and manipulative was nauseating. But damn it if she didn't make great television.

I personally liked Dr. Will the most. Alison was up there as well. As for least favorites, probably the nerd herd from season six fits the bill. None of them played the game well and they were annoying - and that just isn't right.

I don't really have that many HG's that I like that much as people on the shows. Dr. Will and Janelle were the only two I fell in love with in a "I have scenarios about being friends with them in real life" kind of way. Other than that, I admired Danielle's gameplaying, Jason and Lisa seemed nice but were both boring with a capital B, Amy had good heart, Erika Dave and Jack had good heart, Diane played a good game, Howie and Rachel had good heart.

But beyond Will and Janelle, everyone is pretty meh to me as far as personality goes - with notable exceptions Danielle, Diane and Alison for their game-playing skills.

Oh - and I had a strange ambivalent relationship with Jun: sometimes so snarky and fun, other times just so jaw-droppingly obnoxious.

ETA I fucking loved Monica "I'm not gonna sell my soul to the devil cuz they sold their soul to the devil" Bailey.

Faves:

Will (S2) - He's awesome, hot, and a total asshole. Totally the kind of guy I'm usually attracted to...yet hate when I get to know them better. Luckily for me, I'll never meet Will in person so I can continue my lusting.

Brittany (S1) - I don't know why. I don't remember much about this season except I thought her hair was nice. Boy oh boy...what a season.

Danielle - Obvious. She kicked ass. I hope she returns to kick ass, but it doesn't look likely.

Amy - I liked her. She got drunk in a tree on the first day. Awesome.

Diane - I really hope she comes back. I thought she could have gone further if she wasn't always trying to get in Drew's shorts.

Nikomus - She'd be me. Awkward and drinking too much. Love.

Janelle - Obvious.

Shannon - I don't care. I love her. She's a bitch. Toothbrush. Good times.

Hates:

Josh (S3)
Cowboy
Roddy
Chiara
Jase
Holly
The Nerdherd - especially Crappy!

This is harder than I thought it would be. But fun trying to remember!
Faves:
Janelle-Great competitor and super sharp in her observations about the other houseguests and what was going on in the game. Plus, just smart and funny and cute. Biggest girl crush I've ever had.
Dr Will-His diary rooms alone are legendary. The Nicole doll is particularly memorable ("Who left these towels on the floor? Will, don't have any fun!"), his little sly smiles and winks at the camera, the competition where he was blindfolded and ruined the living room..I could go on. I love the guy.
Roddy-No real gameplay reason. I've just had a crush on the guy for three+ years now!
Howie and James-I just really liked them both, funny guys. They made the season more fun to watch
Least faves-
I kind of hated all of season 5 except Nikomas and Diane. I barely watched it at all.
Same for season 4-boring boring boring cast.
Nicole-I think she was a great game player, but by the end of the game, her whining and complaining and constant bitching had really worn me out! I got so sick of her tossing out that "I'm a newlywed" crap.
Nerd Herd of course, but I have to say I hate Maggie and J-blo the worst of them.

Sadly, the hate list is longer than the love one. Can't be bothered with BB1 and I'll amend the list once I've seen BB4.

FAVOURITE
Nicole (BB2) - I absolutely loved her no-nonsense attitude, especially compared to many of the pontificating self-righteous idiots to come in future seasons.
Amy (BB3) - What a sweetie! She was a living doll. I don't see why her character was constantly being scrutinized by the likes of Marcellas and Roddy. It wasn't even out of "friendship", it was because of their attitudes of superiority.
Nakomis (BB5) - She was just cool and "down-to-earth". She took her nominations in stride and actually used strategy as HOH (which doesn't happen all that often).
Will (BB5) - I love this guy, just wish he played the game with more force. Charming, handsome, and just hilarious. :)

Honourable Mentions:
Monica (BB2) - Great quips, provided some of the funniest moments and aside from her "They sold their souls!" breakdown, she was an all-around great HG.
Karen (BB5) - She was quite enjoyable and funny, like a young Teri Garr. Too much of UTR player for me to actually think she was playing a good game, but I liked her nonetheless.

LEAST FAVOURITE
Shannon (BB2) - As annoying as Autumn was, she didn't deserve Shannon grade-school bullying. Her childish behaviour continued with her reaction to and actions following her nomination. Her minor rant about immigrants not speaking English catapults her into Fiendship territory, as well as ironically mangling the language herself.
Mike Boogie (BB2) - Somehow this tool thought his hip-hop posing and all-out jerkiness made him the star of the show...
Chiara (BB3) - She was just fucking annoying -- wanting to monopolize the male attention in the house, incredulous backstabbing, jealousy. Yet almost everyone cried when she was evicted!!! Even the ones who plotted against her. Exactly what was so great about her that would cause such a reaction?!
Erikkka (BB4) - Haven't watched season 4 yet, but I'm fairly certain that she'll make it onto the list.
Eric (BB6) - Tyrannical maniac -- the double-talk, the shifty eyes... and the fact that he still believed that he was in the right, even after getting the boot.
Jennifer (BB6) - I think the fishies had more presence than she did (and probably more game as well). Her one move would have been good if it were done for actually strategy and not just for attention. Well, she got what she was after. Hope she's enjoying it.
Maggie (BB6) - ........................................ (yeah she was THAT dull)

Dishonourable Mentions:
Nadria (BB5) - Not only was the twin twist stupid, but they seemed like a pre-cursor to the Fiendship. They never owned up to their dirty deeds and used the Bible of all things to justify them.
Diane (BB5) - Whiny and bitchy to the end. She needlessly cut the throats of her alliance members and got played by a guy he who was "just not that into her".
Scott (BB5) - Useless lunkhead and the bigoted comments are the icing on the cake. I can give him some credit for seeming somewhat subdued and "nice" at the finale (and in his follow-up video during the season).
Ivette (BB6) - When she wasn't saying incredibly stupid/ignorant things or pining for Cappy (which pretty much go hand in hand), she was alright.

Favorites:
Danielle - She completely controlled the Big Brother 3 house and masterminded almost every eviction that season. By far the most powerful player of all time.
Erika - She remained calm and classy for the duration of the game and took very few things personally. Unfortunately, she was lied to and conspired against just because she wasn't an obnoxious loudmouth like Alison, Dana or Jun.
Diane - I love the fact that while Nakomis, Will, Adria and Karen sat in the DR complaining about Scott and Jase, Diane actually went toe-to-toe with them and called them out to their faces.
Janelle - The buxom blonde bombshell who was intelligent, gorgeous, confident, sporty, and hilarious... Everything that her enemies weren't. She proved everyone's first impressions dead wrong and that's why I love her.

Least Favorites:
Marcellas - A "first-class hypocrite" as Marvin would say. One of the most self-righteous and pompous houseguests of all time. He constantly played the victim despite the fact that he was by far the most venomous and cruel player in his season.
Alison - Unnecessarily malicious and spiteful. I respect that she understood that there are no rules in the Big Brother house, but her flagrantly obnoxious and nasty attitude didn't engage me... It made me want to turn the TV off.
Ivette - The way that she was constantly going on about her "heart of gold" while she was spewing hateful, racist, bitter filth was sickening. It was mind-boggling that a person could have such a miserably jealous attitude. A truly bad person with no redeeming qualities.

If "Cappy" & or BJen was added, the "Herd" would`ve claimed half of those spots! I guess John didn`t want to give all his "love" to one alliance, speaking of alliances, since the Sheep`re getting so much attention still, who were/are the best/worst alliances in BB history? Starting with worst: Chilltown (BB2)? The Stooges (BB4)? Horsemen (BB5)? & last, but certainly not least, The Mighty Friendship (just last year!) ? Or, on a nicer note, who are/were the best BB alliances? Jason & Dani (BB3) ? Marc & Amy (the cattiness of BB3) ?The SV6 (just last year!) ? And last, but not least, Tonya & her "funbags" (BB3) ? :-) Of course you can rank anything/one as you see fit, this isn`t exactly scientific after all. :-)

Hmm... My least favorite alliance would be, of course, The Friendship. The bizarre unflinching hatred of Janelle, Kaysar and Rachel, the Eric worship, blah blah self-righteousnesscakes. You know the drill.

My favorite alliance would probably be the Pinky Swear Alliance of Big Brother 5, pre-implosion. I thought Nakomis, Karen, Will, Nadria (before they became "separate entities") and Diane were all pretty cool.

I have a special place in my heart for my irrational hatred of Gerry. Hated everything about this guy.

His Hands! In! The! Salad! Of course, he had poor hygiene habits. In addition to the infamous salad, I remember how he would work out on the stairmaster, then peel off his sweat-drenched t-shirt and throw it directly into the dryer along with everyone else's clean clothes.

The sanctimony. I still remember his ludicrous veto speech. Something like "I allowed myself to pick on Marcellus because he was black, and because he was gay. I have two beautiful black nephews and I have a lot of gay friends. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.... and My! Soul! is Not! for Sale!" What a blowhard.

Hated the way he shuffled around and tried to be all cool and fit in with the cool kids.

Also hated his expressions, most especially how just about anything and everything anyone did would make for "good TV".

Dishonorable mentions to Kaysar (arrogance at its extreme), Josh Feinberg (blech), Alison (ugh).

All-time favorites would have to include Monica and Jun.

Least favorite of all time for me is Shannon from BB2. I found her totally revolting, even before the infamous toothbrush incident.

Her method of arguing drove me up the wall. She would attack in the shrillest voice and spew all forms of vitriol, but then refuse to listen to any response. When someone did manage to get a word in, she would then act like a victim. HATED her.

Oh, and she was also stupid, low-class and butt ugly.

Wow, that feels good.

I missed most of the Friendship at their worst, but if they were more awful than those witches, they must have been pretty bad. Those two nearly turned me off the show for good. Their rants about Jesus speaking to them and telling them specifically to put up certain people for eviction was despicable.

Well, I didn't start watching the show until last season, so that's pretty much my entire frame of reference, but here goes....

Favourite: Kaysar. He was definitely the noblest, most deserving cast member of that season. So, naturally, he got turfed out twice! If anyone deserves another chance, he does.

Howie. How can you not love a guy who lists his religion as Jedi??

Honorable Mention: Dr. Evil. Haven't seen him in action, but if he's even half as evil as he came across in the preview special, he'll definitely be fun to watch.

Hated: The Nerd Herd. Especially Busto, or as I liked to refer to her, Queen Bitch of the Universe.

Favorites:

Monica (BB2)- Do I need to go into why Monica is awesome? Come ON.
Will (BB2)- Here he was just hilarious and a great schemer. Now, ugh.
Danielle (BB3)- Genius of her season, hilarious, so clever.
Amy (BB3)- At first annoying, but then I grew to love her.
Jason (BB3)- Him & Danielle were a perfect pair, even though Danielle did most of the work, he was good too.
Jun (BB4)- The first day I saw her, she was immediately my favorite and I said she would win. Only time my first prediction was right. Another hilarious genius.
Jack (BB4)- Jack was a breath of fresh air from the mostly horrible cast of BB4. Plus "Dana looks like a buzzard's crotch" will always be classic.
Dave (BB4)- The only one who knew Jun was a threat. Plus hilarious and voted off too soon.
Karen (BB5)- She was good schemer, yet FUTR. Plus her insults of Jase and Scott cracked me up.
Nakomis (BB5)- So chill and down-to-earth.
Janelle (BB6)- Truly a buxon blonde.
Howie (BB6)- Funny, kept me laughing. Bit of a dumbass though.
Kaysar (BB6)- Even though he got played by J-Blow, I still wanted him to stay. He & Janelle were another perfect pair.

Least Favorites:

Mike Boogie, Shannon, Kent (BB2)- All three vile and annoying.
Chiara (BB3)- ChiWhora was an annoying slut, plain and simple.
Roddy (BB3)- Anybody who acts all sanctimonious while playing a game is bleh.
Marcellus (BB3)- Still made the dumbest move in BB history. Nothing will top that, plus his attitude stinks and he thinks he's way more funny than he is.
Josh (BB3)- As I remember, he thought he was some mastermind and really annoying.
Alison (BB4)- No need to elaborate. If you saw her season, you know. If you didn't, someone will explain better than me.
The 3 Pieces Of Shit: Robert, Jee, and Justin (BB4)- One was a vile woman hater, the other a big dumbass, and the other just for association.
The Four Horsemen: Jase, Scott, Cowboy, and Drew (BB5)- Two were egotistical and disgusting, the other a pathetic piece of shit, and Drew had no balls.
Diane (BB5)- Bitchy and ugly. Unnecessary betraying her allies while she got played by Drew. Great player *sneers*
The Twins: Adria and Natalie (BB5)- What a foreshadow to the horrors of next season. Though they are angels compare to...
The Friendship (BB6)- The worst people in BB history.
