Er, this isn't a haiku either, but as there doesn't seem to be another thread for poetry, I'm posting it here. Rose's POV,
very recap-influenced.
If you could reach out with your
Hands and touch the stars above
And walk in grace and magic,
For to know the secrets of
Life and death, the sun and moon,
The wolf whose howl sounds like
--Grace. and life. and hope. and doom.
And change, which feels like dying,
--And that's 'cause it always is --
And what hides in dark places,
And what hides down in the pit.
Then, after it's all over,
And the stars and magic fade,
You'd find that life continues
And Grace's wave never breaks.
The rhythm's a bit awkward in spots, because it's easier to do eight syllables per line than seven, but you get seven because I like enjambment. (And making things harder for myself)
Edit: okay, I thought of a haiku for you. It's a bit silly.
Yellow banana
Good source of potassium.
Please do not drop it.
