Not really a spoiler, but just in case:

Does anyone know if there's some sort erratic scheduling thing going on with this show ? The descriptions of the first three episodes to be shown are (in order):

In The Beginning: Janice attempts to open her own modeling agency
Cut The Fat: Janice clashes with her new business partner
Get Down To Business: Janice needs a partner in order to keep the modeling agency afloat

It sounds like the 2nd and 3rd episodes might be out of order. Is this typical of Oxygen ? I plan to collect this show, and I want the episodes in logical order, so if this is typical of how it's going to be shown, then I need to work around it.

Perhaps Janice Cuts The Fat (fires partner #1), which creates a need for partner #2. I'm shocked, shocked that Janice wouldn't get along with everyone!

Was just in the Oxygen canteen, and overheard a few producer people talking. They say #3 and #5 (I believe they said something about Janice going to a white party or somesuch) are the best eps they've seen thus far.

One of the women had watched the premiere with Janice at the gay bar soiree last night and says she's out of her mind, but in a good way, and that Duke is a truly sweet gent. Having been in the presence of both of 'em earlier that day, I'd back that assessment.

Janice is a powerful force of both nature and modern engineering.

kattart, bless your spoilery heart! Do you know anything about how staged the show might be? Like, was the business partner really up all night mulling over Janice's offer, or was that just to create drama? Is homeless model really homeless? Were the triplets hired/fired/rehired/quit just for shits and giggles? People on their lunch break want to know!

Alright. I thought this thread would be the best to put my thoughts (ramblings) in, though it could have been in the "First Job" episode thread. This coming week's episode appears to be documenting the ribbon cutting pictured above. However the link on the pictures put the date on the pics as 04/19/06, when in the first job episode the date on the door was 05/10/06. So does that mean this weeks show is actually taking place earlier than the last two events featured on the last couple episodes? Then again the castings may have happened earlier than the actual "events", but still.

Regardless, this just seems to accentuate the point that the editing is confusing on this show.

So, I get the occasional email from Peter Hamm (who, I must say, has been nothing but lovely and a good sport) and it turns out that JDMA has not only been renewed for a second season, but all episodes will now be one hour long. They start shooting in a few weeks. Unfortunately, TWoP will not cover a second season, but at least we call all get our Janice fix (and have a go-to source for partially naked twentysomethings) once again.

Say it ain't so! I just can't take all this bad news! First, it was Potes not recapping ANTM for the next (eighth?) season, now Janice is not getting covered by TWoP anymore?!?

I'm still recapping ANTM, so I'm not sure where that bit of news came from...

And you all are sweet, but the forums really were pretty anemic. I think not enough people have or watch Oxygen. And really we didn't even have sufficient posts to support a half-hour show (but Wing Chung was lovely enough not to PH it during the season, I think because she felt bad since I had to upgrade to digital cable to get JDMA), so the chances of having boards active enough for a one-hour show are pretty slim. Sorry!
