This is a thread to share your particulars obsessions about the show.

YKYOWFW... in your history class, your teacher refers to the New Mexico territory as "this land," and the first thing you do is look over to the friend you converted, and tell her that it should be called her grave.

...someone mentions the doctor on Lost (which is one of your favorite shows) and your first thought is, "But Simon isn't on the island..."

...a perfectly normal conversation is about whether or not a gaseous planet like Jupiter could be terraformed.

...your friend asked you how you are doing. Even though you are having a good day, you tell them it is not your best day ever.

I have so many more but these are the only things I can think of right now.

... You feel a sense of pride that the movie got made at all.... it really does feel like it is your movie.

... You almost stopped breathing when you saw that the Firefly forum was back up at TWOP.

...you buy the official Serenity Zippo® lighter and ship ornament. I think I've seen another preview image where the ship is its proper silver-metallic instead of gold, so it may end up being the right color, we'll see. It's such a cheap-looking little thing, but there are no other physical models/toys of the ship available, and still no posters of just the ship itself, so I couldn't resist. These are from Dark Horse, btw, the same publisher who put out the Serenity comic book mini-series (and collection of that), Fray, and still owns the rights to Buffy comics (but not Angel).

I use "shiny" a lot online, can't help it. I'm pretty sure I use it a little in real life as well...increasingly more and more. I don't say "gorram" or "gorramit" though, they're a bit too goofy even for me. Seeing as there're still religions and a belief in God in the 'Verse, and since I'm pretty sure you can say "goddamn" and "goddamnit" on network TV, it struck me as a little unecessary. So yeah, what's up with that, Joss?

Actually, I don't think you can. For whatever reason, you can say "God" or "dammit" but not "Goddammit." That is, unless things have changed in the last couple years, which is entirely possible.

Topic: YKYOWFW... You own Mal and Jayne action figures and won't take them out of the box even though the possibility of toy-on-toy HoYay (ToyYay?) is very tempting indeed.

If I recall correctly, the rumor was that The CW (the new mutant offspring network of The WB and UPN) was considering picking up the show. We know it's not true because Joss has repeatedly denied it.
