cynicat X, that is a really cute commercial!  Of course now I'll have that jingle stuck in my head for the rest of the day.   (My cats love Friskies, but I try to include some 'better' food along with it.)

There seems to be an inverse relationship between the quality of a cat food and the cuteness of its commercials, because Friskies, Fancy Feast and Iams all advertise their cans/bags of byproducts and fillers in quite adorable ways.

Ad I just saw for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups:

"Johnny has two Reese's Cups.

 His friend Sam ate two.

How many years before Johnny speaks to Sam again?"

:)

I love the Kaufmans in the Swiffer commercials. Yeah, Morty doesn't help much (at least he does laundry!) but they are such a cute couple! I love when the Swiffer Wet Jet inspires them to dance in the kitchen.

THIS! I love this couple so much. I cringe when Mrs. Kaufman tries to climb on a chair so that she can clean the light fixture over the dining room table. GrandmaCorday attempted to do this when she was in her 80s and ended up falling and putting her head through the wall. Once the little cartoon birdies stopped swirling around her head, she got back up and resumed dusting.

I really enjoy all of the Cree LED light bulb ads featuring Lance Reddick. He's got such a great sense of deadpan humor. My favorite is probably Child. Or maybe it's arguing math,. . .  or the tiny coffin . . . or wolves at the "crick".

I love the Boost Mobile subway pickpocket ad:

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=h0bNV57c7RU

When I first saw part of the ad, I thought, "Aw, he's cute; why'd they have to make him a pickpocket?!" I love both guys' reactions and smiles.

I really love the Verizon (I think) ad where the big sister is coaching her freshman brother on how to get through the school day. But she's doing it over the phone because rule number one is no face-to-face communication. They have lockers near each other and she winks at him before walking away. It's just very sweet.

I love the Swiffer ads with the Kaufmans, too. It's one of those campaigns where I actually wish there were more commercials, because I enjoy them so much. And Morty reminds me a little of Carl Reiner.

"I've been living in a fool's paradise!"

I love Morty's "There's just the two of us, how much dirt can we manufacture?" Then, speaking at the same time, Lee says "More than you think" while Morty says "Very little."  Cute!

Oh, this makes more sense to me now.  I'd only seen the end of it, and I thought the two of them were a couple, and the girl didn't want anyone to see them talking to each other.

Only part of those commercials that bug me is the one where Morty says "I don't clean; I make dirt."

I love the Geico ad for "Hump Daaaaaay! Yeah!" The look on the camel's coworkers' faces is priceless....the poor girl who has to finally say, "It's Wednesday." just so he'll quit bugging everyone. Love it!

I generally hate all the Geico ads, but I have to admit that I also love hump day camel.  (Partly because Mr. SnarkMouse and I like to think that that's what our pets would be like if they had office jobs.)   It breaks my heart every time when he says, "Aw, come on...I know you can hear me."  I mean, I get that his coworkers are tired of hearing the same joke every Wednesday...but it makes him so happy when someone finally plays along.

There's another Subaru ad where the couple keeps saying "we should do that"

Heh.  I really like that one too, both the shorter and longer versions.  I like "you know you're eating a bug...because of the legs".

Another one I really like is for DISH's promotion of an iPad when you sign up; 3 guys are in a kitchen and the news lady tells them the kitchen is the most dangerous room, one guy says "we gotta get out of here", one guy says "good thing we got this Ipad free with the Hopper" (or some such) & the other guy never says anything at all.  The same pattern is repeated when as they hide in a tree house and then under a bed.  The visuals of them getting scrunched into smaller & sillier places & the one guy's final scream are funny to me.

I adore this commercial! That camel is just hysterical and the special effects to make it look like he's talking are really well done. Geico has had some pretty good spots over the years (with the exception of those stupid cavemen).

Aw, the cavemen were good until they wore out their welcome and still stayed on, sort of like Maxwell is doing. But you're right - Geico has some really creative ad people. Some of their concepts are dumb (man made of money, anyone?) but some are brilliant.

I just saw the Swiffer ad for the first time and I love that couple, too, especially the "I've been living in a fool's paradise!" They just seem so natural with the way they talk to each other.

I want them to be a series like those old Taster's Choice commercials.

There's a Ford ad -- for the Fusion, I think -- with a real couple where the wife is talking about it being her car, but her husband wants to drive it all the time. She's not seriously complaining. But what I like about it is that they deal with the problem by playing rock-paper-scissors. You can see that they're having fun doing it, and they just seem like a really nice couple.

There's another I just saw for Dignity Health. You see a real video of an older woman trying to cross a busy intersection. She's standing in the crosswalk uncertain how to proceed, when a car stops. The driver gets out and escorts her across the street. On the screen the words "Hello humankindness" pop up.

I like Target's new back-to-school commercials.  I think I've seen three.  The one where the kids are trying mightily to ride their bikes up a hill  ('Another one bites the dust' plays in the background), the one with the kids making their science project volcano work (the music to this one is 'Under pressure') and the third one has the 'Rocky' theme playing, but I forget what the kids are doing.  The ads are catchy and pleasant and the kids are likeable (maybe because I don't think they say anything).  They make we want to go out and buy school supplies and I don't have kids.

I think the evidence that these ads are really successful (for the ad agency and the company) is that even when I'm FFing through the commercials while I'm watching something I've recorded, when one of those zooms past, I say to myself 'Oh, there's the Kaufmanns using their new Swiffer.  I've been living in a fool's paradise!'  I still FF past it, but it sticks with me anyway.

I have a question.  What song is the little girl playing on the flute in one of the back-to-school Target commercials?  It sounds a little like 'I'm a single lady', but I can't be sure. I recognize the other tunes in the other commercials, though--just not this one.

We rarely ever watch "live" TV, so we DVR everything and FF through the commercials. But if I happen to see the GEICO "Hump Day" camel, I have to go back and watch it... I just have to! It pisses my family off.

I'm not sure which one you're talking about. The songs I've identified are Under Pressure, Push It, Theme from Rocky, and Hey Ya! I think those are all the ones I've seen. I really like these commercials, too.
