S7 trailer, as shown at the Cardiff convention on the weekend. LOVE that last shot...

Was that Daddy Weasley running through several of those shots? Man, Moffat must LOVE him. He had a great part in "Being Human" this year.

As far as the new companion goes, I'm "Meh," until I see her in action. My one observation is she has the exact same pose and smile in every photo I've seen of her. Surely they aren't manipulating the one pic into all the shots?

WAnglais1, I wouldn't be surprised if they were repurposing the pics. Saves newspaper and website editors a bit of work.

Right. This interview with Mark Sheppard just about made my damn week. The 12 year-old son of one of SFX's ad managers led the interview and Matt Smith shows up part way through. It's frakkin' adorable. Also the kid asks some pretty good questions.

Steven Moffat Talks About Spinoffs, Crossover and INSPECTOR SPACETIME.

At the first official "Doctor Who" Convention of the new era in late March in Wales, stars and creators, including showrunner Steven Moffat and executive producer Caroline Skinner, gathered to give Whovians updates on all things TARDIS.

Teasing the upcoming Season 7 Moffat told reporters: "There'll be utter heartbreaking tragedy to knock about, silly fun ... But if you're laughing one minute, expect to be crying in five minutes."

But Moffat generally adhered to his spoiler-averse reputation and stuck to his maxim of, "If you want to know what happens in 'Doctor Who,' watch it!" However, both he and Skinner were more forthcoming in panel sessions where they and more members of the "Doctor Who" cast and crew took questions from attendees.

And, in a masterstroke that underlined the value they place on the knowledgeable and engaging Whovians, the pair even presented the world premiere of the Season 7 teaser trailer during a panel session when many reporters were sequestered away in another room.

What did Moffat have to say about new spin-off shows? Is there any chance of a "Sherlock" and "Doctor Who" crossover? What big-name U.S. star would the casting director really like to head to "Who"? And just what does Moffat make of "Community"s "Doctor Who" spoof, "Inspector Spacetime?"

INSPECTOR SPACETIME, you guys!

From Reddit's I am Joss Whedon - AMA (Ask me Anything) one questioner asks:

daikiki 1348 points 19 hours ago

Have you ever been approached to write a Doctor Who episode? Is it something you'd be interested in doing if the opportunity presented itself?

To which he responds:

IAMAJossWhedon[S] 1743 points 18 hours ago

The doctor is dope, but I've just spent 2 years writing other people's characters, plus I've got my Firefly kickstarter adventure. (See above.)

So respect and awareness, but not necessarily inclination due to having recently done that, plus taking time out to troll his fanbase. ;)

(There is no Firefly kickstarter).

And she's got over 54,000 in less than a day?

Good for her.

I wonder if Matt, Jenna and/or Alex will join next.

Just noticed a new book on Doctor Who that has just been published called 'Love & Monsters'. Looks quite interesting, so thought I'd throw it into the mix.

I'm not certain if this is relevant, or in the right topic (a thousand apologies if I'm wrong) but Craig Ferguson put out this music video about his trip to Scotland. Two of my favorite thing in one place (keep your eye out for our beloved Tardis).

I would adore seeing this gorgeous scot on DW.

Add Criminal Minds to US tv homage to DW. Season finale had some main characters enroute to Con wearing DW inspired costumes (Reid was #4, Garcia and Kevin were #11, and new person was Amy). Best part of entire episode!

On the season premiere of Next Food Network Star, Alton Brown introduced one of his team members by saying "Bow ties are cool." (the man then walked out wearing a bow tie) He went on some more, so I'm not sure if it was a Doctor Who reference, but I'll just pretend it was.

Hmm....well, it's not the RIGHT Doctor, and it's in Cardiff, not London, but maybe it's enough to satisfy the fixed point in time? I hope so!
