(I'm guessing this would be the place to discuss Roy, since he's not one of the "main" characters...)

On the Roy/Pam Valentine's exchange: I gave mental "points" to Roy for realizing that Pam was annoyed with him, then more points for telling her that "Valentine's Day isn't over yet" (thinking that he had something thoughtful planned for the evening), then subtracted all the points when he told her she was getting sex. What a dolt.

We know he's not a total caveman, but I wish the writers would make it a little more of a fair fight between Jim and Roy for Pam's affection.

[ETA: It seems like everyone is putting the character names first in the thread titles, to maybe Glark will be nice enough to switch it to "The Warehouse Staff: Zero Days without an Accident"? Please? Or at least not kill me where I stand?]

I must say that my favorite warehouse worker right now is Darryl. The first sign was when he tried to get the Santa hat from Michael. He cemented his place as my favorite when he explained that his biggest fear is someone who will distract him from getting the shipments out on time. He dont think that Michael deserves any special treatment and never breaks in when he is in a standoff with him.

I have a question about Roy. When the show first started, wasn't he a UPS driver? The first time I realized he was one of the warehouse crew I recall being rather surprised by that.

One of my favorite running warehouse jokes is the "east German gal" who always gets forgotten amongst the boys. Does she have a name?

One of the coolest non-centric characters in the Office. Just cause she's the only woman in the warehouse. Props!

Nerg and tvweb44, you guys would fit in very, very well with my fiance. It's his favorite part of that episode. In fact, I think he's said "DAMMIT, Michael!" at least once a day since it aired. Funny thing is, his name is Michael. So, is he quoting? Or, is he yelling at himself? Things that make you go "hmm." (Only perhaps not really.)

He has been very funny on the show. I can't believe I just realized he was T-Bone on Arrested Development, which just makes me like him more.

I never knew there was a thread for the warehouse! I'd definitely like to see more of them next season, especially after reading Madge's blogs about her crush on an engaged coworker, hehe! Of course, there was Darryl's bit in Casino Night -- dinkin' flicka, fleece it out, going' mach five, and the handshake. Classic.

And will Roy ever get a talking head? I want to see exactly what goes on in this guy's head. As horrible as it will be, I'm intrigued to see this nicer, more caring side of him. I want Pam to come to her own decision to leave him and choose Jim, rather than calling off the wedding because of some ridiculous storyline like Roy cheating on her (with Madge, ha! or the tight-ass Christian chick...and then he and Dwight could duke it out in his dojo). I have faith in the writers...but I can't wait 3 more months to find out what happens, gah! I wonder if they'll give ANY sort of hints in the webisodes...Roy does appear in them, after all.

I'm hoping Roy gets a talking head too, but I get the sneaking suspicion that he gets uncomfortable in front of the camera and probably doesn't want to do one. (Roy, not David Denman) I noticed it in "Boys and Girls" when Michael is introducing everyone in the warehouse, the camera swings around to Roy and he suddenly stiffens up. It was really subtle but led me to speculate more on his character and the type of guy he is when the camera's not around.

But I loved Darryl's talking head segment in Casino Night and the way he was trying not to crack up the entire time when describing all the slang he taught "Mike" I love that he calls him Mike.

I always thought he was uncomfortable because Michael brought up the fact that he and Pam were getting married soon. He's been on camera many more times than that, so he should've been used to it by then.

You know, you're probably right. It could just be him getting caught off guard with Michael starting to talk about the wedding. I still think it would be interesting to see Roy's talking head if someone was asking him point blank questions about the wedding. I wonder if we'll get to see that considering we don't know how they're going to start off the third season.

Does anyone else think it is weird that only Daryl and Roy get invited to functions like the booze cruise? Maybe I just missed the other people. I can see Daryl being their, because he is the boss of the warehouse, but Roy is just another grunt isn't he?

Yeah, but Roy is Pam's "plus one." At the booze cruise Stanley brought his wife, and Jim brought Katy, so Pam bringing Roy isn't that weird to me. Michael doesn't care about any of the warehouse staff except for Darryl because he simultaneously is scared of Darryl and thinks he and Mitta Rogah are buddies, what with their secret handshake and all.

I think since Lonny(played by Patrice O'Neal) now been prominent in three episodes, first appearing in "Basketball", then "Boys and Girls" now "Safety Training" he should have his own thread. I was already a fan of Patrice's his stand-up from Comedy Central and appearances on the Conan show. He was in an early ep of Arrested Development. I also loved his commentary on VH1's I Love the 70s, 80s, 90s. His enthusiasm for the schlocky movie Orca(1977) coincidentally about a sea monster(killer whale) is a highlight.

Now that Roy got fired, Lonny has taken the position of resident jerk of the Warehouse crew. I think my favorite moment is from Boys and Girls when Michael knocked over a full shelf with a forklift and Lonny throws a box in anger and yelled: "DAMN IT, MICHAEL!!"

Love the Lonny character. This show really needs at least one character with absolutely no tolerance for Michael's shenanigans. And I love how blunt he is about it. I mean, it's Michael; it's not like he's going to fire him.
