Don't tease me, epogirl! My ideal show would involve removing Heidi and replacing her with a Tim/Jay tag team.

There's no real mystery to winning Project Runway. Quite simply, if Tim says it, do it. Don't try to do the Daniel double talk around him. If he says don't defend a dowdy shoe or put Bea Arthur "and then came Maude" pants under your gown, then listen to the man. It doesn't matter how many points the others score, he's the Golden Snitch of this Quidditch match. If you can capture him, you'll win this sucker.

Exactly. Jay admitted as much at the reunion (which was before we found out he actually won the thing). Tim Gunn is always right. And he's a hot bitch.

Well, the contestents would still be balls-out crazy. Never mind that Apprentice reference.
Anyhoo...Tim rocks.

1) Tim is teh hawt. He should smile more often, though.
2) Whenever Tim offers advice or criticism, accept it as fact. He obviously wants to help: he works at a fashion school and knows what he's talking about. He's an objective bystander, so stop defending the shoe. (Is that on a t-shirt yet?)
3) Tim? Rocks out. I want him for my TV boyfriend.

One of the innummerable things I love and adore about Tim Gunn is that he genuinely wants all the competitors to do their best. He's not into throwing out a sound bite or making it all about how clever and insightful he is. He's no one's patsy. He is invested in everyone using his or her creativity and keeping the objective in mind. He doesn't play favorites, he doesn't hide it when he's aggravated, he gets right to the heart of the matter, and doesn't let anyone get away with anything. Sigh. I just love him.

Can we clone him?

If I may, Sillymama, bring up your brilliant creativity yet again...

Tim is like my island of sanity in a topsy-turvy universe. I'll put it this way: if Tim Gunn ran The Apprentice, he would fire everyone the first week, but he would do it nicely, and it wouldn't be because he didn't like you. It would just be because you suck, which he would tell you.
So. True.

In one episode--the Futuristic Line, I believe--Tim was trying to give some constructive criticism of what he thought needed improvement. Suddenly he just sort of shrugged and said, "Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe they'll take a look at it and say they love it. But I don't think so."
Only real confidence can say something that allows for error, but stands his ground. Who else says ANYTHING like that?!

I thought Miss Alli's recap was a winner of Tubey's Kids. Anyone know? Bueller?
Yep, it was a Tubey's Kids winner. A very enthusiastic group of PR fans put together a winning bid for the recap last summer. As I recall, we actually collected more money than was finally bid, and the excess was also donated to the charity for that month.
But regardless of how it can about, Miss Alli's recap is a "must" read.

Gunn has been a vital part of the Parsons community for more than 22 years.
So sad he's only been a vital part of our lives for less than 2 years!!
Tim looks like a Priest on Bravo's PR site. Not sure I dig his choice of outfits.
