Last week I had the (expensive) pleasure of seeing AB during his "Guts & Glory" tour.

What a great review--How much is "expensive"? :) I'm hoping the "TBA" places include L.A., but I know he hates it here, so...probably not.

Reading his linked tumblr about NR (I enjoyed both Berlin and the cheesetastically awful Romania--which would have been even worse, imo, without Zamir botching it up), I was surprised how involved he seems during the editing process.

I've always wondered how the writing/editing/preplanning all jives because Tony's really writing travel essays and it's hard to know how that would mesh so beautifully in the edit if he WASN'T involved during editing.

And yet...that's the first time (Sardinia) that I've heard him describe hovering even more than usual. Does anyone know if he writes it as it's being edited? Or kind of helps with the rough cut, then writes? /film-writing geek
