All right, we all know that Osama Beth Laden (tm RW NY's Norm) sucks ass, but it's nice to see someone bring the drama, especially after the snore-fest that was BOTS2.

Word has it that she walks off this challenge (Inferno 2) after a fight with tonya

Anyone else think she'll stick around TI2 due to the other team viewing her as weak?

If anything can be learned from the last Inferno, it's that there should be more importance to keeping players on your side rather than ensuing cancers on the other team remain in the game. If any "Good Guy" loses to Beth in the Inferno, that person will never, ever live it down. In other words, Beth should be the first option for the GGs.

I don't know; while I usually don't agree with keeping weak players on a team to help one win, as it tends to bite you in the ass, the Badasses as a whole aren't so...well, badass. I don't really think any of them are all that spectacular performance wise, with the exception of Tina, CT and the yet-to-be-seen Karamo, so keeping the Beths of the world around wouldn't be such a bad strategy for the Good Guys.

How the heck old is she? I am trying to do Real World Road Rules math here and I am soo lost, someone help me. If Veronica from Road Rules is pushing 30 then how old is Beth, like 40 or something? hmmm.

She was born on Valentine's Day, 1969. That makes her 36 years old right now. And yeah...she brings nothing to the table for anybody to enjoy. Her milshake drives all the boys from the yard, and their lives are better than hers. Sorry...I just needed to get a headstart.

Back in the day, you may remember that the end credits of B-M shows were always made up of unused footage from the production. Now, MTV just lops that off and uses their own generic credits to feature MTV.com stuff, etc.

Anyway, to my point ... in the end credits of the first episode of the very first Challenge (filmed in summer 1998, aired in early 1999), Noah (from RR: Northern Trail) asked Beth how old she was and she told him she was 29. His response: "You shouldn't be doing shows on MTV. You should be doing them for VH1."

And that was six years ago.

(A post script to the loss of the end credits ... this was also the spot on the show that, in the Challenge 2000, featured Amaya's classic "ham is beef" line, as well as Mike telling David about Kat's fear of clowns. Sadly, we are probably losing gems like these all the time since they stopped showing them in 2001. I can't believe they don't show that stuff anymore.)

Osama Beth Laden's Challenge Track Record:

Challenge 1998 (pre-vote offs): Manages to injure herself, despite a doctor telling her that she's fine, therefore giving her an excuse not to do anything while the rest of her team does all the work.

Battle of the Seasons: Voted off 1st, along with her partner, Jon.

Battle of the Sexes: Voted off 2nd. Interesting to note that one of the contestants was pregnant and couldn't compete in a mission, yet Beth was still voted off.

The Inferno II: Walks off the show.

And it must be said that the only reason she was voted off 2nd on the first Battle of the Sexes is because Melissa had Julie in her sights LONG BEFORE the show even started.

Well after this time maybe she'll get the hint and never return.

I'm ashamed to say this, but she looks less ugly now than previously.

I can't believe she came back for this. Age aside, she has NEVER had a good experience on any of these shows, including her RW season. She's way up there on my list of most hated BMP'ers, she might even be top dog. She's so out of touch with reality but I can't say I find her amusing for it. I just loathe every minute she's on my TV screen.

However, I do find it hilarious that she and Tonya don't get along. To me, they are 2 sides of the same coin, one is just better looking than the other. Both are desperate, fame-whorey, have inflated senses of themselves and believe themselves to be more popular with people than they are. I'm looking forward to this pool incident.

I hate Beth, but throwing someone's shit in a swimming pool is a horrible thing to do. But she'll probably use alcohol as an excuse.

I vaguely remember something similar where Montana is asked how she got along with everyone on the challenge, and she said "I like everyone except Beth". That was also six years ago. And she keeps coming back for more.

At the very least she takes a break from doing challenges. Unlike, Whoreonica and some others.

Oy, looks like BS (heh.) is at it again next episode....

Y'know, I honestly wouldn't mind her attention-whoring, drama-queen antics if they were any part of a strategy to help her succeed; people being manipulative on competetive reality shows doesn't bother me, because you gotta keep your ass from getting eliminated somehow, and if you aren't exactly athletic, might as well go for the social aspect.

Example: Beth could've used this info about Tonya and (I'm assuming) Mark hooking up to keep herself from being sent to the Inferno, because we all know that Robin can be a bitch and would've tried to send in Tonya no matter what.

But Beth... Beth... I don't think she thinks about that. She just wants those appearance dollars and another five-seconds in the spotlight.

I feel sorry for her. She's almost forty, and she has nothing else but these Challenges. She's often been too sad for me to hate.

I would think the same except that she's such a hateful bitch. She's not a pariah just for being annoying, she's a pariah because she talks shit about everyone else in addition to being annoying. She's got to be one of the least self-aware contestants I've ever seen on one of these shows and that is saying a lot!

I just can't find her entertaining. I feel the same about Tonya. There are some characters I can love to hate but these two are such a weird mix of being pathetic and widely disliked yet over confident and arrogant that I just can't enjoy watching them.

Me, too! I feel so bad for her. Not because of her age (I totally understand signing up for a free vacation + a couple thousand bucks) but because NOBODY likes her but she keeps showing up for the abuse. Why, Beth? Why do you do it??

What's wrong with her face. Did she have a face lift? I don't know, it seems to me
her eyes look like they are being stretched. She totally looks different now. JMO.
I am probably wrong but did anyone else notice this?

Beth is one of the few RW/RR people that I really can't stand. EEREGH. I remember her running her mouth about how she wasn't close to the others because she was a "leader". Please.

Gah!

You know, I'm surprised to find myself saying this, but I was on Beth's side last night.

She kept saying, "go get Robin, and we'll talk about it."

I took that to mean, "enough with the petty middle school drama, let's just get it all out on the table and over with."

And for that, her shit got thrown in the pool by some crazy bitch.

Beth probably wasn't trying to stir up drama.

If that is so, her personality has done a complete 180.

Beth should have learned long ago not to get involved in other peoples' drama, and I don't think having all her stuff tossed in the pool will change that aspect of her personality.

Also on Beth's side with this one - she was the only one acting like an adult. For her teammates not to even tell Tonya that she was wrong, and then to come down on BETH for wanting to sit out of the next challenge!? Are they serious?

I have a feeling my Beth pity will shift very soon, though.

I thought she had a face-lift too; her eyes look completely different from the last time we saw her.

Anyone know if she's still trying to make it as an actress? If so, maybe that's the reason she had work done.
