Miss Alli once pointed out that most TAR wimmers look like bouncers. Could an actual bouncer take out the other teams?

I was prepared to go into tonight's premiere with an open mind, not judging any of the teams ahead of time because at the very least they have to be better than last seasons. But this snippet from EW.com's intro to the teams stopped me cold:

Actor-bartender Brian and bouncer Greg, who were recruited for the show at a Dave Matthews concert, are ''so stoked'' to join the race.

"Recruited" is bad enough. But at a Dave Matthews concert? Bleeeeech. They slide over into the (mild) dislike column for now.

That means they were probably acting like idiots at the concert. The only way someone would single you out in a crowd of people is if you are drunk or cursing or being an ass.

From his bio on cbs.com:

Brian is at heart a competitor whose greatest accomplishment in life was starting every basketball game his high school varsity season after being cut the prior two seasons.

Dude, you're 27. I'm just saying...

Team Keanu.

Or, since they're brothers, Team Keantwo.

(Pronounced with three syllables, of course.)

Haaaaate! I tried not to hate anyone too quickly, but dammit, this team asked for it. Letting the Barbies go first? Giggling over Debbie and Bianca? Maybe it's a feminist thing, but their attitudes bug.

ETA: Okay, I have reviewed the evidence (thank you, TiVo!), and...okay, I'm still not a fan, but they weren't as obnoxious as my first impression warranted. I also laughed when they said "7:40 is after 7:00, right?" That being said, they still only get one first impression.

Why do they look so familiar? I watch far too much reality tv, but I feel like I've seen at least one of them on Fear Factor or something. Can someone help me?

Awesome! It's like if Stifler from "American Pie" were on the show. Their "whoa, dude" doubletake on Debbie/Bianca made my night.

They're really not different from many straight while males their age. I can't fault them for giggling over the lifelong friends kissing or leering at one of the Barbies' butts. Those teams shouldn't have a problem with it because they were on display.

I was taken aback by the "pink butt" comment, until I saw a camera close-up revealing that one of the girls was wearing pink sweatpants with the word "PINK" emblazoned across the droopy ass. Then I was too horrified by the sartorial choice to care.

When the boys were on the truck talking to the Peruvian kids, my boyfriend was positive Greg called himself "Gregolio" instead of "Gregorio". The first choice makes more sense, as they are rather oily.

As a fellow twenty-something guy, I totally like them because doggone it, spotting lesbians is funny and fun. Plus I liked their "don't do drugs" throwaway to the Peruvian kids because it clearly establishes that they are not running this race merely to win a million dollars or be on TV, they are running it in an effort to end the epidemic that is drug use amongst the young people of our world. And to spot lesbians!

Love, love, Love Brian & Greg! They are handsome, kind, (so far) competent racers with awesome personalities! Love them! Right now, my favorite team since my other faves got philiminated tonight :(

Loved when they told Alex & Lynn that they had passed up the market...and then admitted they were teasing when A&L believed them.

Loved the whole scene at the airport...hilarious! As a straight gal, I would have probably done the same thing..."Whoa, dude! Did you...oh, never mind."

I'm still torn as to whether they're cool and competent or kind of meathead-ish. Time will tell.

They are a matching pair of Zach Braffs---though one looks more like a badly executed clone and the other like a cheap knockoff.

The Scrubs vibe endeared them to me. I know it's a stupid reason and I didn't like the pink butt comment either (till I saw the seat of that girl's pants). Maybe they are just going to turn out to be jerks, but I thought they were pretty cute.

ChocolateCherry, one of them has been on Fear Factor. If you saw the VH1 goes inside special on Fear Factor (still waiting for the TAR version, BTW...), Brian (I think) was the guy that had to eat something disgusting on the X-mas theme show, wouldn't shut up, and went over the time by seconds to be eliminated.

I liked them much more than I expected. I liked when they were at the beach and saw there was only one 7:40 left and about three or four 7:00 left and they were like "What?" One of them then said something like "7:40 after 7:00, right" They seemed half way smart since half of the racers immediately went for the 7:40 and they at least checked the last one. They're also probably going to do well in physical stunts. I also find them a little cute.

I watched the cbs insider video and thought they were kind of flat.

While watching the show, however, I developed a bit of a crush on both of them. And honestly? The pink butt comment had me giggling endlessly. Even before I noticed the validity of the statement.

Apparently I totally spaced and missed the pink butt comment -- when did that come up? I enjoyed these guys more than I thought I would, actually; they seem like basically decent guys. I don't really have a good read on them yet, though, will need to see more of them to figure out if they've got any brains as well.

I thought it was just me who thought they kinda looked like a pair of Zach Braffs.

Anyway, at first, they seemed a little frat-ratty to me, but they had their moments. I loved their interaction w/ Alex/Lynn and w/ the little girls on the truck. And I got a good laugh at their ESP moment when finding the dug up 7:40 hole at the beach ("Wait....what?!). I guess I'll have to hold further judgement for the Braff Pack until later.

My roommate happened to be in the room at the beginning, and when these two had their intro, she went up close to the TV to examine one of the guys and then declared, about Brian, "Oh my god, that's my ex-boyfriend." Then she showed me pictures of him from her portfolio from a couple of years ago. She pretty quickly pointed out that he's probably only on the show so he can get more work as an actor. Let's just say she didn't give him a very favorable review.

Count me in with everyone who's suprised how likeable these two are. When I heard the "pink butt" comment I thought it was kind of jackassy, but I didn't realize one of the Barbies actually had the word "pink" printed across her skinny ass. Then it was funny.

They're pretty cute, Brian especially. They were smart and funny and have a good dynamic. I think they have the potential to do really well.

It's funny how there's more eye candy this season with ordinary people than there was with the whole slew of models last season. IMHO, anyway.

Greg & Brian win my jogger's award for hoofing it from Park One all the way to American Airlines. I don't understand why they didn't stop in at United (terminal #6) They had to have passed it in order to get to AA. Jogging from Park One to United is faster than the shuttle (with a big YMMV for running speed). But it's probably not faster for getting to AA at terminal #4.

LAX map

In this map Park One is the block that has the "North" arrow in it.

I cane here to say just that. Total resemblance there. I like that they seemed more interested in having fun than getting too stressed. I don't expect it to last forever, but as long as they keep bringing the funny, I will still like them.

Not as jerky as I had been afraid they might be. Actually kind of funny, even. But I still can't bring myself to root for a team containing an Auburn grad as long as a Georgia student is still in the race.

Nevertheless, I agree that their interaction with the kids in the back of the truck was cute, and the kids seemed to like them. Also thought the whole "pink butt" thing was funny.
