lifestylist You Rock! Great to get a first hand account. Did you get the feeling she doesn't even know about all the legal wranglings surrounding the lifestylist title? Sounds like her staff doesn't even tell her.

Oh and everyone is complaining about the spelling of dietitian/dietician. Both are correct (forgive me if I posted this before...I thought I did but think that the website wasn't working )

Anyway, dictionary.com has it:

di·e·ti·tian or di·e·ti·cian

Word spell check also accepts both. Is it regional?

Oh believe me she knows. They had a book signing at the end that someone tipped me off would be happening so I brought my copies that people gave me as gag gifts for Christmas. As luck would have it I was first in line, and I had brought a photographer with me. She asked how I would like my book signed, and I kind of ignored that and asked her of I could get a picture with her and she said of course! The armed guard moved so I could get in the shot with her and had the photos taken, then she asked again who to sign the book to and I told her The Real Lifestylist®. That stopped her for a second but then she signed it and as she was I said Sandra, feel free to give me a call if you would like to settle this without laywers - she kind of smirked and said "I can't do that". I was going to get my other book signed to "The Shrike Family" but figured I'd leave before I got escorted out. By the way she signed it The Real Lifestyle Guru - thanks Sandra! I guess she is acknowledging my talents :)

Can we all get copies of the video??? And you must post the pictures somewhere!

I would be happy to share the video! Just email me and I'll send you a copy. It's not great and I only got about 30 minutes but it is most of the "cooking" part. All I'm asking is that you make a donation to the American Heart Association Woman in Red Campaign - I'll give you the info and who to send it to so they know why they are receiving it. It seems only fitting.

That, was pure genius. However, I wonder if she meant yes, you were the Lifestylist®, or if she was saying she was? I can kind of see it going both ways. Or is that just me?

But you will love this - she didn't use the low sodium canned soups, she used the regular ones because "she couldn't find the low sodium soups in OKC". It was classic.

she forgot to finish the meal.As soon as she started the champagne cocktail the meal was forgotten - yes she got very excited about happy hour. I want to look up again what the menu was so I tell you the correct items, but the pork loin and at least the rice were never finished or heard from again. What was even more humorous was that at the end of the event there was a lot of smoke onstage and that burnt smell. The event was absolutely not about cooking.

Busting.A.Gut!!!!

lifestylist, you have earned some sort of award for going WAY above and beyond. I am DYING over the autograph incident. "Sandra - call me!" HEE!!! Just...oh, man. Way too funny! I even love the part about the dietician's mom's car being towed.

I hope you can post the pix, or...the video???

TexasTallGal, are you sorry you didn't make the trip? I am, and I'm in Seattle! Who knew it could be SO worth it in every way?? "Ms. Lee could you comment on the sodium content of the soups?" "duh...no...."

If I didn't know you guys, I'd swear you had to be lying. This is all just...wrong, yet hilarious, yet...WRONG.

OoogleEyes, WHOOT! We are sistahs once again. I, too, just hit the "kinda high blood pressure" mark AND...get this...my blood sugar is a little high. AND I DON'T EAT CRAP LIKE THIS. What a cruel joke. I don't even have a sweet tooth! Just think if I were a SL devotee - I'd be dead before you got done reading this post.

At least they are not trying to pry my beloved cheese from my cold, dead hand.

Topic: This event! I honestly can't imagine how it was allowed to happen!!

[cue twilight zone theme song..] Do you think it's because we watch Snadra regularly? Is the sodium and sugar osmosing through our television screens...?

I did, bbcookin - it's great. I have, like, none of the bad kind. Well, a little. But my ratio of LDL/HDL is (in the words of TWO different docs) "F'ntastic"! My one claim to health, apparently. Dammit.

OoogleEyes, my sister told me to quit watching! HAHA! Yes...it seeps through our very cathode rays.

You know, it is possible. I get migraines when I have too much caffeine or too much sugar. So I obstain from most sodas and try to avoid the sweets all together. However, on a few occasions, after watching SLop on food network, I have gotten migraines. Though that could be out of sheer frustration and anger, two other triggers for my migraines.

More on topic: hee! Isn't that cute? Sandy is completely oblivious to the danger she posses towards the nation with her cooking. And demonstrating that in front of a group of people that presumably need to be eating really healthy.

Seven. Days. of SLop. A. WEEK.

That IS one of the signs of the Apocalypse, isn't it? lifestylist, happy to send the requested donation - I'll email you. Hey, was there any write-up of the OKC event after the fact? Or just the PR puff piece beforehand? And if there is a post-game piece, will it generate/has it generated any letters to the editor?

Liar! I saw a Food Network statement last week that said that Iron Chef America had the highest ratings of any program ever on FN, and I'm assuming the ratings held pretty steady for the second battle.

I would have asked her if she was going to appear on ICA Battle: Angel Food Cake.

Oh sure yeah, and she also is a Cordon Bleu graduate, and she and the Wallet were just platonic friends before he left Janet.

In other words, bullshit.

Major props to you, lifestylist! Hearing that SLop smirked at you just makes me want to slap her hard.

On another note, I suppose the more personal appearances she makes, the more she reveals herself to be an inept charlatan.

eta: If I was ever going to see SLop live, first I'd get her to autograph my book (that I'd buy off e-Bay before hand) "Love and Kisses to the gang at TWoP." Then, I'd bring bail money just in case, because I have a couple questions I'd like to put to her. First, has she considered suing her plastic surgeon? Second, how many blow jobs did she have to give to Harvey Weinstein to get a TV contact?

Ouch, RobertBlue, you have my deepest sympathy. I used to get migraines but I seem to have outgrown or outlived them. They are HELL. Don't let Sandy do that to you!

thelifestylist, my mom called a bit ago (obviously having already heard about the OKC debacle from my sister) and sternly told me that if I didn't contact you for a copy of the video...("I already did" I interrupted)..."well, that's good because I was going to disown you!"

She then suggested we have a Sandra Lee party and everyone bring something of hers! YES! I said, "But Mom, I've only seen about 4 recipes of hers that I would even consider!" "Me, too, " she admitted sadly. But she thought it would be a riot. I guess I could recruit her for Sandra's Test Kitchen but she's got dietary restrictions so she could not even be allowed to taste-test.

Anyway, she's dying to see the video!

Good article PQ. That about sums it up for me from A to Z. From Sara to SLop. I would consider Sara a chef. When I watch her she gets so engrossed in the process of cooking that she forgets to look up and you can tell that some production fool is yelling at her."Look up. smile pretty for the camera." I don't care if she looks up and smiles. I'm fascinated watching her do what she does with such skill and ease. Sandra Lee on the other hand... all smiles, she never even turns away from the camera to shut the frickin fridge door. She's not a chef, nor even a cook it seems, just a huckster. Sigh. I will accept it for the half hour sitcom that it is. Wouldn't it be great if they added a laugh track.

Here's your friendly reminder to tune into Good Day Live this Friday (check their website for local listings). You don't want to miss SL's Super Bowl Snacks, don't you? I didn't think so.

Alas, I will not be there this week to perform any recon duties, so sorry in advance. Sadness, I know. I so wanted to give a high-five to MV. Guess that means I'll actually have to watch the show at home this time.

PQ that article is great - hadn't seen it before. I sometimes forget how much I LOVE Sara. And they peg SL so accurately. The last sentence says it all.

I went to Marshall's this morning to see if I could score any excellent bargains on kitchenwares. I rounded the corner and let out a very loud, strangled gasp that I'm sure really confused the woman in the next row. It was my response to Sandra's mug grinning down at me from a Circulon 2 5-quart casserole box. The quote on the side? "Brought to you by Sandra Lee, celebrity LifeStylist © and host of Food Network's 'Semi-Homemade Cooking.'" I know it's been mentioned before, but I found my reaction wonderfully over-the-top. So then I turned the box so she wasn't facing out, because bitch scary.
