Anything by Jennifer Oksana is a pretty safe bet that it'd be awesome, but my personal favourite is Where My Wings Have Gone, which gives us a little backstory and a little post-ep (Where Your Credit's Due) story.

Title: They Sought It With Thimbles
Summary: Never let it be said that I wasn’t an inquisitive (and annoying) child.
Mmm. Veronica Mars and Lewis Carroll. Two of my favorite things.

And harmier, good luck finding Veronica/Wallace. I think I've read every fic in the fandom so far and the only one even mentioning Wallace is The Way Down by tigs. It's not Veronica/Wallace in a romantic sense, more of a friendship one. For some reason, nobody wants to write Wallace yet.
Also the VeronicaMarsFic community on LiveJournal has some good fic and is fairly active. Tends to get more Logan/Veronica and slash pairings, but it also has some good character studies.

Is my own little fic on a Weevil/Veronica friend-lationship.
I plan on doing some more but only if the feedback is good.
Rum, Coke, and Ruffie is another of mine. Shameless pluggs, gotta love 'em!

Thanks, I've already read (three times) and reviewed it. I really liked it; it's well written, convincing and has a great pacing. I hope you do decide to write more.

Actually, I think I remember seeing one, but it wasn't that good.I half expected several Smallville crossovers but alas none.

I think I know the fic you mean and you're right it wasn't very good but to each his own right. A Winning Team. But on the other side of the writting spectrum I found a fanfiction site that I don't believe was mentioned here before that had some pretty good stories. Try A Simple Confession, You Think You Know Somebody, and The Shorter Story No Love, No Glory. Hope you enjoy the fics.I half expected several Smallville crossovers but alas none.

And anything by Juliette is wonderful.
I have a theory that well-written shows don't inspire as many fanfics as lesser shows (like Smallville, which has an amazing fanfiction collection).
But I really appreciate the Logan/VM stories. They're all so wrong :"). Seriously I wasn't a big fan of the Buffy/Spike relationship on Buffy for the same reason. Mortal enemies might be hot, but the actual relationship was icky. Fortunately Logan isn't a murdering vampire ...as far as we know.

jeansheridan, I agree and disagree. I personally believe the big Smallville fic response has a lot to do with the awfulness that is the actual show and the fact that it had the potential to be so much more. On the other hand, the Joss Whedon shows are well-written (in my opinion) but produce more fanfic than almost anything (except maybe the Star Trek universe? And, these days, anime). Gilmore Girls is also a very good show that produces a boatload of fic.
I think the bottom line, actually, is the level of unresolved sexual tension in a show, and we don't have a whole lot in VM. So... not much fic, so far.

I feel tension whenever she's around Duncan or Logan. Weevil not so much, but they have a great friendship going on. In fact, it's pretty cool to see her starting up a friendship with both Wallace and Weevil, because they're so different. Weevil is so obviously her equal in snark and rebellion whereas she's almost a big sister to Wallace.we don't have a whole lot in VM.
And I think Buffy was great in the first three years, but I noticed the fanfic went nuts after year three, in my opinion due to fan frustration.
I'm just hoping more writers will be inspired, whatever pairings they want to try. :").

Me too. Especially during the upcoming hiatus. I've faithfully done my part in harrassing fanfiction.net to add the category--not the best place for really edgy stuff, but it does its part to make the fandom more solid in terms of fic.
Hello, PMD. You may want to take a quick look at the FAQs (see link at top of page) regarding posting--there's a no-signature rule.
Where do you post your fic? I don't believe I've seen you in the LJ communities.

As for posting links--threads like this usually include a hefty number of story recs--just use the Link button (or check out the FAQ for how to link properly). And mention whether you're recommending a story, or self-pimping (i.e., letting people know about your own).
Not so many recs here so far yet because the ficcing hasn't really caught up with the show yet. I'm sure they'd be welcome.
I dabbled in Smallville fic-writing for a while, but... Well, less said, the better. :) I'm feeling my way through my first VM fic right now but it's tricky because most of the characters have something to hide, and we generally don't know what it is.
