He's hot, he's got a gun, and he's got a secret. Is his story tied to Mary Alice's secret? Is it a different thing entirely?

See, I'm thinking/hoping he's an agent who's there to investigate and eventually arrest Edie....largely because that's the only way I can justify his spending any time with her.
I'm not one to lust after TV actors, but this guy? Well, let me just wipe the drool off my keyboard before I confess that I think he's very, very, very attractive. Very.

I think it's the scruff, the leather jacket, and the slightly bemused look on his face that gets me. Can't wait to see that tattoo in the upcoming weeks.

The tight black t-shirt, the bulging biceps, and the tatt did it for me last week. And the fact that he's got a secret and carries a gun just adds to the allure. I love a man of mystery.

In case anyone missed it, there was an interview with James Denton over at the TV Guide site yesterday. I think that this link should take you to it:

TV Guide

The interview is a bit spoilery, so beware.

He may be the hot plumber to you guys, but he will always be Mr. Lyle to me. All my Pretender refugees can attest to this.

Oh man. He is HOT.

I'm curious about Mike Delfino and I want to see him get with Terri Hatcher's character.

I can't wait to see who he's ends up in bed with.

I'm with you there. But every time I see him, I always ask, "How did he get his thumb back?"

But man, with those biceps and that tatoo. Damn, this guy is hot.

He must be a pretty successful plumber to be able to afford to rent a house on that street....maybe I chose the wrong career!

But he's secretly working for the CIA or something, so he probably makes some outside income.

I can't wait to find out more about HotSecretAgentPlumber!Mike. I hope there's a future episode where a heatwave hits Wisteria Lane and guys like Mike and HotGardener!John are forced to walk around shirtless and sweaty. Mmm...HotSweatySecretAgentPlumber!Mike.

Mike is hot but it's not just that. He's "heterosexual hot" -- unlike Miguel the Garderner or the Smallville hunks or even the pretty "Lost" boys. Can't imagine Mike in slash fiction at all. (Of course, that means the actor is probably gay -- not that there's anything wrong with that!)

Actually, I'm pretty certain that Jamie Denton is married and has been for the last five years. I remember during the Pretender days, Lois was running his website. I'm going to have to check if it's still up.

The tattoo on his arm? It's dedicated to his father.

Absolutely, Slyph. I think he looks better than ever especially with two thumbs.

But he's secretly working for the CIA or something, so he probably makes some outside income.

My guess is that he is working as a private investigator because if he was working for the government, he would have made that phone call on a cell phone seeing as our government agents are well funded.

ABC previews tonight showed some Hot!Shirtless!Carwash!Action! coming up between him and Edie with Susan running interference. Sounds fun.

And isn't that as it should be, Titus? Sigh.

He seems to be having a great time with the character, and I look forward to seeing how he and the writers keep the character fresh.

I will admit to actually watching several episodes of Threat Matrix just because of him. Like Sylph, started lusting way back when he was Mr. Lyle.

Thank you, Titus, that's probably the best news I've had all weekend.

As did I, but my major crush on him started when he was playing the part of Judge Ripley in the short lived "Philly".

Well, I feel deprived since I never saw Jamie on The Pretender, Threat Matrix, or Philly. I thought that he was an exciting, new find when I first saw him in the pilot of DH.

I am definitely looking forward to Hot!Shirtless!Outdoors!Mike next week. I thought it was funny in the preview when he acted taken aback by Susan asking him on a date. Has he really not figured out that all of the single women in the neighborhood are after him?

I hadn't watched the original airing of the show. Last night, I was watching it, and I was all, who IS that guy?! I know I know him! I kept thinking maybe Lindsay from Angel, but I thought, no, that's not right. Then this morning I was like, "Mr. Lyle!!! It's Mr. Lyle!!!" I love when my Pretender stars succeed. I watched Less than Perfect just to see how Ms. Parker would do - and she's great. And now Mr. Lyle is back! And hotter than ever, now that he's a nice guy! Woo!

Plumbers actually make a lot of money.

Also: I'm relieved that we haven't hit a single "plumber's crack" joke yet in this thread.

Argh. First, I think he's some sort of supasekritfed man and then I think he's just someone who's out to figure out who did him wrong but then I hear the 'Bongo is my dead wife's dog' story and I just love him more.

So, I'm conflicted. I don't buy that story. At all.

Yep, that's it. I didn't watch The Pretender or any other shows you folks talk about, so this is my first dose of this guy. YUM.ME.

'Bongo is my dead wife's dog'… (snip) I don't buy that story. At all.

Me neither. I think he was toying with Teri.

As mentioned by others far more intelligent than me, Bongo could be a working dog and not someone's pet. A cadaver dog, perhaps? A dog who searches for drugs?

Maybe he's a DEA agent and Mary Alice's husband was into drugs?

Not spoiler! Just a thought.

My take: If Bongo was the dead wife's dog, and Bongo is feeling threatened by Susan, that might mean the Bongo is afraid that DeadWife and Bongo might someday be replaced by Susan. So Susan has a chance after all!

That was my thought too. But then we have to believe what Mike's saying...and I'm not sure if I'm ready to do that.
