He looked and acted younger.
Boulder's Robson, 37, and his wife swapped on Fox's "Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy" show, which airs Friday.
So funny that they felt they were the well off family. Wendy freaked when she saw the water front property the Mass family owned. And there is no question the girls will be well off but Wendy and hairy biker seemed desperate for money.
On the show, two moms from different backgrounds trade houses and spouses to try a new walk of life. Robson, a commercial photographer from Australia, said his family was apparently chosen as the more "well-off" family to clash with a lobster-fisherman's family living outside of Boston, Mass.
No tears? Oh yeah, the girls donít count.
But the producers misjudged the Boulder residents, Robson said. There was no drama on their show, which was filmed last August. No fighting. No tears.
I think they tried to pitch someone opposite, someone who was more pretentious and yuppie and snobby, and I think it backfired on them a little bit," Robson said. "I'm from a town with 12 houses. I'm as blue-collar as it gets. I just happen to have worked my way up through life a little bit."
A very little bit. Wendy was pretentious and snobby and had no reason to be, IMO. It seems her previous husband has money so she became accustomed to it but it doesnít look like they have money now.
And his wife, Wendy Kahn, 47, is a real estate agent and said she's used to getting along with different kinds of people. As she put it, "I'm in sales, for God's sake. I'm easy."
I hope she sees on this show how other people perceive her. She is oblivious to how others look at her. I love that they gave her age. It is probably killing her.
So now Robson and his wife are waiting and hoping their weeklong experience won't be taken out of context through editing, they said. It's nerve-wracking, they said, and sometimes Robson said he wishes he stuck by his vow to stay off the tube.
They will be using the editing excuse. And it sounds like he knows it is bad but is playing dumb.
I would love to read a follow up article.
