FSN has enlisted Olympic gold-medalist Summer Sanders to host its newest daily program, THE SPORTS LIST, which counts down the top ten positions on a variety of sports-related categories. Whether it's the Greatest NFL Player of All Time or the Sexiest Athlete of All Time, Sanders breaks it down in an entertaining, informative and interactive way. The 30-minute show also involves input from sports figures and celebrities. THE SPORTS LIST premieres on Monday, July 19 at 5:00 PM.

There isn't a soul on TV who's gotten more work with less talent than Summer Sanders.

More than Carson Daly?

I admit to being a listomaniac, but this comes off as Fox Sports lowrent imitation of all of ESPN's list. Like Behind the Glory is to Sportscentury.

Heh. Or I, Max is to Pardon the Interruption and Around the Horn. What's next, a Fox Sports version of Dream Job or Cold Pizza?!?

As another listomaniac, I TiVo'd this sucker (the "top chokes" episode, anyway) and watched . . . and kinda enjoyed it, in a background-noise-while-I-read way. A fairly diverse group of commentators, some good clips, and oh, God, it hurts to watch Bartman and Buckner, it hurts so much, make it stop. Or make the hostess go away. She bites.

Verdict: it's fluffy and harmless. I'll keep watching it on background, I guess.

Summer Sanders is nice to look at, I'll say that much about this show.

Word. I never really noticed that on Inside Stuff but she definitely aint bad to look at. I caught the show a couple of times and it just seems pointless.

The show itself is bar-bet meets I Love the 80's.

But Summer Sanders is very nice to look at.

The Dodgers blew it that season? No, the Giants won it. They finished 44-7 down the stretch, so the Dodgers's record was something like 30-20. That's not blowing anything. This should not have made the list of biggest chokes. Does anyone win anything nowadays? Now it's like someone else blew it.

I can never watch this show again, due to the risk I might get exposed to Robert Wuhl again.

I caught this show this weekend and was surprised to see Dan Patrick and to a lesser extent JA Adande as commentators on a Fox Sports show.

This show lost me when they put Ozzie Smith at the top of their list for best shortstops- and had Honus Wagner fourth.

But, Summer Sanders is pretty damn hot.

How come nobody has mentioned that Summer Sanders is pretty hot?

Oh, you have? Sorry, I wasn't paying attention.

I was watching Summer Sanders. Because she's pretty hot.

Did you notice that Summer's eyes are always fixed on the same spot? I mean, her head will move from side to side, but her eyes are always staring at the exact same spot. It's like there's a sign behind the camera that says "Do not under any circumstances look away from this point". It's weird.

Dusting this topic off. I just saw an episode titled "Best Individual Comebacks". At #2 they had Magic Johnson and a quote from Jalen Rose, "January 30th, 1991."

It's possible that they took his quote out of context, but unlikely. Although I was never a Lakers fan, Magic's HIV+ announcement is in my personal top 5 of "you remember exactly where you were when you heard it". It was November of 1991 NOT January, dammit...the season had just started when he held the press conference. The January thing is yet more ridiculous when you consider that in the summer of 1991 Magic's Lakers played Michael Jordan in the Finals.

As someone who is a big fan of both sports and lists, this show has so much potential. But they ruin it by interviewing people who are hardly subject matter experts on the topics. Reality show stars, Coors Light girls, rappers, et al. Coors Light girls? It's not that I don't value their opinion because they are blonde or models, but because their take just sucks.

I have no idea who this show's target demographic is, but it's not me. However, I do keep recording and watching the interesting topics, and it's similarly interesting to see Summer in hot pants or tight jeans. At least TPTB are smart enough to know how much of her to show.

ITA. I really don't mind who comes on to comment on the lists as long as they know something about sports (especially the subject at hand), and most of them do.

However, somebody like Trishelle from the Real World really pisses me off. They were talking about my Bear, William "Refrigerator" Perry on 10 Most Fattest Athletes, and she makes this useless comment about wondering how it would be like to make love to him.

The crap?! I don't watch to hear TMI comments like that. That's just my opinion.

The problem with the show is Summer Sanders. She's. Too. Stiff. My bf can't stand her either. I'm sure they can find somebody "hot" and more animated.

Yeah my mom told me "Magic Jordan" had AIDS.

Flipping past I saw Joe Piscapo commenting. Robert Wuhl wasn't a credibility killer enough? Maybe they should try and get Mike Binder.
