I'm restarting this thread. I'm going to be down in Orlando the last week in July, and in Tampa starting August 15, attending USF. swtrgrl, I don't want a huge party or anything, but it would be nice if maybe four of us went out to dinner or something.

The West Wing, Angel, Bufy, Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill, Vegas, Smallville, Everwood, The Real World, The O.C. ... I read the recaps for all of those. Maybe more...Nip Tuck, etc...

Difficult Child, it's not intimate. I don't know what the response will be like but so far there's only about 5-6 people. That's manageable. You're more than welcome to meet up with us. It's not a private club. The Customand I just know each other from soap boards.

Yeah, that's what sealed the deal about my wanting to do a TWoPCon...that I "know" a poster from the places I post.
Now, school starts on August 23...we could probably do something the weekend before or the weekend after. Or August 27. I have Fridays off, but I don't know what I have to do for school yet.

I believe the Saturday after first week of classes is a no-go. We have to attend an Honors College lecture. Before school starts on the 23rd would be fine, though. I'll be going down on the 13th.

There isn't really any planning to do. Tell us when you're available and we'll see if we can meet up. Hopefully it can happen. Frankly, there have been really only two responses (myself and Zuclinator) so it's not like a big plan-fest.

First off, I hope everyone's all right, what with those four hurricanes and all. Can you believe California, trying to grab the headlines like that, with that earthquake? I mean, it was only a 6.0. Psh.
Anyway, I'm going to be in Orlando next weekend for a convention of my engineering honor society, and I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips about the Orlando bar scene in general, and gay clubs/bars in particular. We'll be staying at the Radisson Plaza Hotel (60 South Ivanhoe Boulevard), but we probably won't be averse to taxiing, what with the engineering incomes and all.
