Jennifer was ejected. Comments that don't make ridiculously unfounded accusations of racism against the voters are welcome.

This week we had: 1 Male Singer, 1 Male Crooner, 2 PPPs, and 3 Divas. Certain people will only vote for one category, so the "Diva" category was the most vulnerable.
This happened with Tamyra (Two Divas vs. One Male and One "Rocker") and with Trenyce (Two Divas vs. One Country, Soul, and [name deleted]). It's simple statistics.
Can both Latoya and Fantasia make it to the final three? I don't know. I sure hope so. It's possible as the numbers drop, but I expect one of them to fall away when there are four singers left.
Well miss you, Jennifer. I can't wait for the dance remixes to hit.

As I stated, what the heck? Having the 3 best singers in the bottom 3? Insane. I'm just glad I voted for LaToya because if she hadn't been safe I would've been kicking myself.
Crossing my fingers for JS to be put out of his misery next week.

First, that group sing? Worst since "Shine."
Secondly, what the hell was that pimpmercial? Did I take drugs without noticing it?
Third, wow, Paula's hand thing improved rapidly if she went from sling to tiny bandage over night.
Fourth, the hell this is not a popularity contest. What are the judges smoking? They are the ones who started it with picking people based on image rather than actual talent, so for them to accuse us of being stupid is insulting.
Fifth, here's an idea. Why don't people just vote for, you know, who they like best, without any ulterior motives? Nah, that'll never work.

I was sure tonight was the end for John Stevens. That's what I predicted for all my friends who ask me to predict, because I can usually gauge it fairly well. Looks like I'll be eating a little crow tomorrow.

I don't care about Jennifer, except to think she's maniacal. Her voice is fine, but she never used it in a way that made me like it. She ended up being rather boring to me.
And she wasn't going to win, so if by her leaving now that means that there's a contestant or two that are horrible left? I'm fine with it.

Because I watched ET I can answer some stuff from the previous thread:
Also, I bet the voting totals fell off significantly from last week. Notice Ryan didn't pompously announce the bazillions of people that voted like he usually does. Guaranteed that with both JPL gone and the fact that last night was almost too boring to sit through lots of people just didnt vote.
ET said that 23.5 million people watched and there were 24 million calls. Why Ryan chose not to announce this I have no clue.
Zion is a girl. And tonight she was in the audience so I'm not sure why she was in a special room last night.
Apparently her family arrived just before Fantasia performed so they were placed in the greenroom.
Oh, can we PLEASE retire the word diva from our vocabulary. I’m already tired of it.
Don’t vote for John people, set him free! I just knew TBTB would boot him before Salsa night. Damn

America, we get it. Ha, ha. It was funny.
Now can you please get serious and let John go home?

Yes, new beginnings sound good.
Jennifer was ejected because, well, to quote Sexy Simon: "That's what happens when you let America vote."
Ryan is still a moron, Randy is still useless, and Paula is, clueless as always (she could give Jessica Simpson a run for her money).
In other news, LaToya and Fantasia are probably going to take heed and we will get kick ass performances from them next week.
Oh, and George will be in his prime---after a couple of hours of sobbing on his mother's shoulder. Poor baby.
ETA: I, for one, am looking forward to salsa week because, if done right, it will have America dancing in their living rooms. If it turns out to be horrible then, well, we'll all get a good laugh.
See? Everybody wins.

I'm glad Diana was safe, I thought she was great last night. And I hope the producers get an on-call shrink for John Stevens. Stat.

I don't think that any of the contestants but George would have bumbled his way across the stage without asking Ryan which group was the "top" one.

Jen rocks. And, Fantasia was great with her. And, didn't poor little George looked like he was going to meld into the couch waiting to find out whether he was safe. Then, when he cried, it was totally sweet.
Thanks Shak for keeping the episode thread under control!

I don't even know what to say. I've really enjoyed Jennifer over the past few weeks and the fact she gets better and better each week was another bonus. However, come on! The other bottom two?? No way in hell they deserved to be there.
DiBot needs to go. Now.
John Stevens needs to go. Last week.
George Huff just needs to get the hell off my TV with his stupid face. I hate you.
This show gets worse and worse for me each week. In Fantasia gets voted off, I really don't see any one left that I'd care about. Maybe LaToya, but it doesn't look good for her either.
Die America. Die.

To be honest, I am kinda surprised that we didn't see a more princess-loaded bottom three, but I fully expect to see one next week.

How can you be in spacesuits and helmets on Mars when your helmets have HOLES in them? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of wearing a helmet? Seriously, watch it again and you'll see nice little openings at the mouth and ears of their helmets..... HEE!!!

Apparently we've all had Doobie-Vision installed in our homes without our knowing about it, because that was off-the-charts bizarre.
So ahh...the very beginning of the group sing caused my ears to go into some sort of narcoleptic hibernation in less than a second. That was about the snooziest sing ever.

I didn't like Fantasia this week, but I loved her last week, so I'm glad she stayed. And, while I didn't vote this week - I'm a JS voter - he's different, and I'd like to see how he can develop that, rather than being just another pop singer. Fantasia's Summertime was the only performance with a similar feel to what JS is trying to do. I don't think Fantasia's bits of attitude are costing her - even Simon seems to enjoy the bit of banter, and she's keeping the attitude well short of arrogance, which is what gets singers booted.

Best episode ever!

I think it demonstrated that even if Barry Manilow's pop songwriting skills have atrophied, he still knows how to crank out a soul-sucking jingle.

Hmmm...that actually sound like a plan. Any weather fronts passing through those areas next Tuesday?
John? People, this is CHILD ABUSE. The boy WANTS to go home. He's probably got the business cards of every child psychologist in his fucking hometown, stuffed into his family's mailbox as we speak. They're lining up, thinking that this boy is the key to that new Lexus they've been eyeballing for months.
