I hope that's wrong about Melfi or it's a dream or something. I never felt it was necessary for them to have an interlude. I think the patient/therapist relationship is interesting as is. Not all male/female relationships in character driven shows need to involve sex (even if there's some attraction). It doesn't always result in making things more interesting and often throws things irretrievably off course. I think they've made that mistake far too many times on NYPD Blue.

There's no quick fix for Tony and Carmela's busted marriage. In fact,
she may start dating other people (at their own risk).
Ghosts of episodes past are expected to resurface to haunt Tony's
dreams. Among those expected to rise from the fishes are Vincent
Pastore (aka Salvatore "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero), David Proval (Richie
Aprile), John Heard (Detective Vin Makazian), Al Sapienza (Mikey
Palmice), Dan Grimaldi (Philly "Spoons" Parisi) and Jason Cerbone
(Jackie Aprile Jr.).
Even Joe Pantoliano (Ralph Cifaretto), who captured an Emmy for his
guest role, is expected to return if producers can work around his
shooting schedule on CBS' The Handler.
As for the whacked pack's next unfortunate member, tabloids have
pointed to well-manicured FBI rat Adriana La Cerva as the season's
first potential victim.
Steve Buscemi has been tapped to join the drama as a recurring
character for the fifth--and possibly sixth--season. The star of
flicks such as Fargo, Con Air and Reservoir Dogs is also expected to
spend time behind the camera directing new episodes.
HBO's also signed on Robert Loggia as a New Jersey Mob boss who's been
sprung from prison and is looking to reclaim his territory, leading to
a possible showdown with the don.
Sounds very cool.

Our second look at Tony Blundetto. The article also reveals a teaser they showed the press (it'll probably eventually be available to us soon).
HBO did provide a revealing 150-second trailer for the fifth season. That left the contents of the HBO teaser trailer to be deciphered and analyzed, and with montages of images in no particular order, it could have been deceiving. But the preview was still noteworthy for the surprisingly high amount of video snippets that include firearms: Tony raising a shotgun, Silvio (Steve Van Zandt) and Christopher (Imperioli) waving handguns, and a hard-to- identify cast member hefting what looks like an AK-47 rifle.

Also a lot of news and plot points have been circulating around Season 5, including a lot of stuff about Tony B.
Steve Buscemi joins the cast as a Soprano cousin, Tony and Carmela's torrent of spiteful language for each other continues, and the acts-of- violence-per-episode equation for "The Sopranos" may be on the rise again.
The plot points surrounding the fifth season of the HBO hit, which begins its 13-episode run on March 7, are television secrets of the highest order -- and the cable channel didn't unleash any major spoilers on Thursday during its twice-a-year meeting with television critics at the Hollywood Renaissance hotel.
But HBO did provide a revealing 150-second trailer for the fifth season. And only 85 percent of the comments that "The Sopranos" architect David Chase made to critics were cryptic or evasive (usually it's closer to 95 percent), leaving anxious fans with a rough outline of the coming season.

Look out for the new Tony on "The Sopranos."
No, it's not a replacement for James Gandolfini. America's favorite mob boss will be back for the fifth season of the hit HBO drama when it returns March 7 after a 15-month break.
It's Tony Blundetto, a Soprano cousin just out of prison, played by Steve Buscemi. His arrival promises to shake things up in the tradition of past hotheads Richie Aprile and Ralph Cifaretto, who both complicated Tony Soprano's world before meeting their ultimate demises.

I've read in a couple of different places now that Richie Aprile will be one of the "ghosts" haunting Tony. This is interesting because all Tony did was clean up Janice's mess. She's the one who popped Richie. Things that make you go hmmm...

According to the script, he's Christopher's cousin.
What's your source on this? Where have you seen this script?

I'm wondering how Christopher can be Tony's nephew...
According to the David Chase commentary on the season 4 DVD, Christopher is really Tony's cousin, although he (Tony) refers to Chris interchangeably as his nephew and cousin.
They should put out a family tree.

Janice doesn't wind up getting Bobby whacked, does she? She seems to have a knack for having that effect on her boyfriends, yikes, that is one cursed broad.
