Well, I just saw the latest gauntet commercial for Monday's ep. I'm shocked that it doesn't appear to reveal much more than what was in the preview last week. It simply shows everyone looking serious about the gauntlet (I believe this is the last elimination) and then goes over a slightly different version of the coverage on Coral and Veronica. No shots of the actual gauntlet. Maybe MTV wants to try to keep the element of surprise this time.

OMG, I saw the commercial clip for "The Inferno," and I was laughing so hard. It looked like Veronica and Katie getting into a huuuuuuge fight and Leah was in a towel holding someone back. I think I saw Shane also? It was absolutely ridiculous and hilarious.

Supposedly it happens during the final mission, but I'm sure BMP will find some shady way to edit it out and make it look like nothing ever happened to poor Coral. Cardiac arrest is a pretty traumatic thing to show on reality tv, but who knows, we'll see.

Now wait, didn't Norm say it was cardiac arrest? If so, it might have been something less serious than a heart attack. I mean, he did refer to the hospital as "the medical place." Not to take anything away from the seriousness of what might have happened to Coral.

Are Coral and Mike ever allowed to appear separately?

I think the only reason Holly is ever invited on these challenges is because of the spectacular way she dealt with her crush on Dan (RR:NT) that confessional where she is crying about their connections has to be my favorite challenge moment. Up there with the Amaya, pig, sausage, interview.

"The Inferno" is also suppose to be the most dramatic, emotionally draining, and tumultuous challenge yet.

And from rumors, when people are engaged into "The Inferno," they participate in a "Fear Factor"-ish activity. Like running on a treadmill while pouring itching powder down one's pants or eating a spider and drowning one's self for the longest time.

I'm excited.

The four people from Paris don't bother me so much as the three from Campus Crawl. I wish a hole would open up and swallow everyone associated with that cast.

Well, that's the rumor. It was mentioned somewhere (with no names mentioned) that someone od'd and had to be replaced during filming. Norm gave a hint on his website about someone named after farm animal(?) or something being the one who od'd. So we're all assuming its Piggy. I may have missed it if it was actually confirmed that it was her though.

Assuming that OD rumor is true, I'm very curious whether the show will acknowledge it, or pretend Piggy was never even there. I suspect the latter.

I thought the rule was that if you win, you can't come back the very next challenge. If this is the case, how can Darrell and Veronica be on the Inferno? Is it that Theo from RR wins, but his remaining team aren't considered victors as well? That would be different from the other ones, where both an individual and a team won.

As far as I know, that isn't a rule. Well, I mean, it's a rule of common decency, but not an official show rule. I think most people, especially if they've won a lot of money, just don't want to film more than one challenge in a row. It certainly takes a toll on you both physically and mentally--and most people have lives they need to return to. But Veronica isn't most people. I can maybe forgive Darrell, since this is his second challenge and not his fifth.
I just think it's ridiculous for ALL these people to tape a challenge for a month in August, then come home and leave a few weeks later to tape ANOTHER challenge. Are they really that bored?

If I was not tied down to the responsiblities I have now, I probably would take advantage of the opportunity to take an all-expense paid trip PLUS a chance to win money and prizes on top of that. I think it's awesome, actually, that they get this opportunity, camera whores or not.
