Are we still on for the planning session/drinks on Thursday?? I'm still available, just checking.

I agree that between 5:00 and 5:30 works as a good starting time. I assume some folks will want to come/leave early and others later.

The Denver Golden Globes TWoPcon is confirmed! It is slated for 5:30 p.m. Jan. 25 in central Denver at Ellsworth and Clarkson streets (a few blocks northeast of Alameda). Spouses and friends are invited. The planning committee will provide snacks and soft drinks. You bring the snark and BYOB. RSVP by e-mail to me, and I will give you the exact location and directions. Hope to see you there!

I'm totally on board for this! In fact, I'm in the midst of putting together ballots along with some special TWoP specific categories. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

Hey guys, I am a Vail local (Trista and Ryan work out at my gym!) I would love to have a mini TWoPcon here in Vail!

Nana can't make it, she's in Oregon. Any other takers?

Have fun this weekend!

MisterIdol, we have persons on this forum from Boulder, Colorado Springs, Denver, and Vail! The cons don't have to take place in Denver. Denverites are willing to drive to other locations when hosts come forward. (Hint, hint.) Be sure to watch the Golden Globes on Sunday, think of us, and we'll have our first Virtual Con!

Hey all, not exactly thrilled about going out in this weather. Perhaps I am wussy. :) I may have to pass on this one. Hope you still all have a good turnout!! I appreciate you all putting this together, it was long overdue, you're right!
But Go Alias nominated people!!
We should have a spring/summer Con. And if it was wrapped around a night of my fave show Amazing Race, even better ;) Got lotsa friends watching that one.

Yeah, I was a wuss, too. Can we do another Con, maybe for the finale for either The Apprentice or The Bachelorette? Nana would have wanted it that way.

Yes, everyone who let the weather get the better of them are wusses. :-) Just kidding! But now I have 3/4 of a pan of homemade brownies left over so I'm blaming all the no-shows if my jeans are too tights.

Seriously, despite Mother Nature conspiring againt us, a good time was had by all at the inaugural Denver Con. True to form...we were snarky. Nicole Kidman....no, just no! Seriously what the hell was up with her outfit/hair. The cheesy party room is awesome!!

I would love to try and get the whole group together and I think a general food/drink get-together would work great. Focusing on a specific show might exclude some folks. I personally would rather paint my toenails with battery acid (tm Miss Alli) than watch the Bachelorette. I think our little fledgling group is from all over the metro so a happy hour probably wouldn't work.

So how about a Sat/Sun afternoon in February, we can all meet somewhere central for snacks, drinks and snark? What days look good for everyone? I'll offer to take the lead on this one so just let me know.

Feel better Bing

Bumping us up to Page 1 where we belong. Denver held its first official con, whoo-hoo! The demand for snark is alive and well as evidenced by the enthusiastic response to the Golden Globes con. Too bad that night's freak snowstorm left most folks buried (including Nana). Suzikins, I don't feel too bad about "encouraging" you to take home that huge pan of brownies when I realized I polished off the entire cream cheese dip bread bowl single-handedly. Count me in on any shindig you plan. End of this month, early next works for me. I can't wait to meet some of the other folks on this board. I know you're watching TV without pity because I see many of you post in my favorite threads. We have a lot to talk about!

Oh, so I finally move back to Colorado and no one has posted in months? I am all sorts of sad!

Anyone have ideas on a TWoPCon for the summer/fall?

Dang, this thread has been silent for almost a year! I'm relatively new to the area (used to live in DC and attended some of those TWoPcons). Any interest in a Boulder or Denver area con this summer? I'm away June 11 - 19th but otherwise would be available to help plan.

Id love to do a TWOP con this summer. I got my mom hooked on TAR last summer when she was laid up with back surgery and we both are NUTS about it. Late June or early July would be great.

We could shoot for June 25th, unless people think that sometime over the 4th of July weekend would be acceptable. I guess we should also determine if we'll have enough participants to make it worthwhile!

So...should we shoot for June 25th? I'm relatively new to the area (been here about 1.5 years) but know Boulder very well. I'm also willing to set something up in Denver (or the Denver metro) but would need a wee bit of help because I know next to nothing about Denver.

Any suggestions?

I've been here for a week and a half, how's that for new? I've never had the option of a TWoPcon before...

Wow, there are TWOPers in the Denver area!

Count me in, except that May 25 is out. My friend is turning 21 that day, so I must help him celebrate!

Hopefully we can get something arranged...

*waves* I'd be interested in a get together, and I have a fellow fan who's arm I can twist to join us ... uh, I mean who I'm sure would love to go, as well.

Late June or early July probably works for me (though I'm doing a rafting trip near the end of June, so July would be better I think.)

Any thoughts on July 2nd? No good to hold a TWoPcon over a holiday weekend, or just fine? Also out there is June 25th. I have a wedding the second weekend in July (on the east coast, so it's not set in stone for me yet) but the rest of the month works for me.

We should also figure out if we're having this in Denver, Boulder, or somewhere else entirely. =)

Any date is fine with me.

I'm in the northwest part of Denver metro area, so would prefer something on the north side, but am flexible.

mahannie57, I'm with you on the north side request. I live in Longmont and would also prefer something to the north of Denver (but I'm also flexible). Any suggestions on a place to hold our con? I'm not familiar enough with the Denver metro area to have an educated opinion.

aeshnidae you're kidding me! I grew up in Longmont! Moved before my senior year of high school though. My mom's still back there, so is my little brother. I'm going back next weekend because he's graduating from Skyline.

Anyway, I'll check in to see when the Denver con is. I might just have to go!

Wow, still trying to recover from the JJAbrams finale extravaganza.....

July 2nd works for me. As for the venue, it depends on how many people will be attending. If it is a small number, then we can go just about anywhere. Maybe someplace in Louisville/Lafayette? That is about halfway between Denver and Longmont.

Hey, I was curious if anyone ever got together this summer. I'm from Fort Collins, and thought it might be fun to see what everyone's favorite show is and have a TWoP night on season premiere night. Like, survivor would be fun so we could rip on the contestants and make bets about who's going to win...

Any thoughts on this. I know the premieres are coming up fast, thought I'd throw it out there...

And I'm STILL trying to get over "My name isn't Michael Vaughn" Argh JJ!

Edited cause we're not sposed to sign posts
