So we've fallen off the main page and I still want everyone to know that we're supposed to meet next Sunday. If no one else replies, I say we push it off to another day when we can be more organized. But as long as there's at least 2 people, I will be happy. Have fun wading through the slush to get there.

*shivers* It's coooold!

Anyway, I'll do my very best to be there, but I'll try to post if I can't make it for sure.

BabyJade--in some cities, a TWOPcon is a big todo with fundraising and mass revelry. In Vancouver, it's a table with a picture of Tubey on it. But it looks like a few people can come on Sunday, so it should be fun.

For those of you who weren't there last time(and that's everyone except me and two others), it was a fun, chill, get-together with coffee and chatting about your fave recappers and shows and other off topic stuff.

Well, at least Huka and I had fun.

We wish some of you had joined us, but we had a nice TWoP chat and Tubey kept us company.

For next time, we'd like to do an activity, like bowling, so we can do more than sit around and drink cup after cup of coffee. My email can be found in my user profile, so give me a shout so we can organize an actual Con (not that I didn't have fun today, Huka).

Argh! sucks. I've moved back home now and was thinking about checking this section out, but kept forgetting. I'll be better about keeping up with this cause I really wanted to go. With the fantastic weather we could almost get away with an outdoors-esque get together...to talk about tv, heh. I'm so west coast.

How about some weekend in May? We could meet at Kits or Jericho beach. Any takers?

Hi, typically I'm a lurker but if there's going to be a TWoP Con in Vancouver, I am so there. Anyone planning anything? I need someone who understands my obsession with Veronica Mars.

It would be great to be able to talk to someone about Deadwood! I don't know anyone else who watches it...

Hi, my name is Anne13 and I'm a Buffyaholic...and I watch Veronica Mars, Alias, Lost, ER, Desperate Housewives, Eyes, House, Battlestar Galactica and Grey's Anatomy. In fact, I have no life. But I'd be interested in meeting fellow sloths and talking about our addictions if anyone else is interested.

Sorry, can't help you with Deadwood. But if you like Holmes on Homes, we can be friends.

Why don't we do a pub night? Fridays aren't huge tv nights, at least not for me. It'll keep me from re-watching Smallville episodes, trying to figure out what went wrong.

Favourite pubs in the Lower Mainland?

I'd be *so* in for a Van-city TWoP con!! My main thing is Survivor (*so* very Survivor), and not really anything else that's current, but I'd love to meet up with some fellow local Tubey-fans! Let's do this!! :)

I'm game. My favorite shows are the West Wing (I am American, after all), The Amazing Race, Alias, the L Word and Scrubs. As far as favorite pubs are concerned, I like the Irish Heather in Gastown, although the Fairview (Broadway and Willow) is a nice, low-key choice as well.

Any idea on dates?

Chal here - TV addict, the kind that my friends don't understand because I'm currently trying to juggling my season finale taping schedule on 3 different vcrs when I'm away for the most of May.

Watching: Lost, Alias, CSI, Without A Trace, Smallville (what is up with this season?!), 24, Scrubs, Law & Order SVU.

Have fun if you are meeting soon but if not, I'm game for something in June!

Definitely Canada. I actually wondered about that when I first posted.

How does everyone feel about meeting on June 10th or the 11th? About 7 pm? Gastown's always a good time and I've never been to the Irish Heather. Or there's O'Doul's. Or the Foggy Dew in Richmond (they make the best Candy Apple Martinis).

Do we have a gang sign we can flash each other?

If you are interested, please send me a quick email. It's easier than checking the thread all the time.

Thanks!

Hmmm...how about bringing our remote controls, and covertly showing it around...the first time that doing so isn't met with complete disbelief and mocking, we'll know we've found the right group!

Well, that beats my suggestion of yelling, "Tubey RULES!"

The last Vancouver TWOPCon, we had a drawing of Tubey on the table, propped up against the sugar. It worked pretty well and was obvious enough for us looking for it.

My vote is for somewhere along a major transit route, like downtown, or Gastown.

I'm excited to see more people than last time (all three of us). I'm a huge CSI fan with West Wing, Buffy, Top Model and Lost all jockeying for second place, so I can't wait to chat!

I am so into this that I'm posting way too often. My friends don't seem to watch tv. Weird.

Why don't we set a date? We can figure out where to go from there. I was thinking the first weekend in June, like the 3rd (Friday) or the 4th?

And more suggestions for good places where it's quiet enough for us to talk but not be a restaurant? Likorish suggested the Irish Heather in Gastown. What do you guys think?

So, let's say June 3rd at 7 pm at Irish Heather in Gastown. And maybe everyone should bring a small picture of Tubey, just in case you're the first person there.

Objections? Amendments?

Cool! I've never been to the Irish Heather, but I hear good things about it. I'm 98% sure I can make the June 3rd @7pm date. I'd love to get my ass away from the tv to meet others and talk about tv.

Yay! Looks like everything's starting to come together. I'm going to post this on the Confirmed Cons forum.

If you get to the Irish Heather first (though I'll try to get there early, to scope seats), hold about 5 seats. And try to bring a picture of Tubey. Otherwise, there'll probably be a lot of lonely TWoPpers sitting, holding 5 seats each.

I promise, I'm not normally this obsessive. And since my RL friends don't post on these boards, you'll believe me until you actually meet me.

WAIT!! NO!!! I WORK THAT NIGHT!!!! ARGH!!!! (sorry for all the yelling, but I just picked up my dayplanner to write this in, and was greeted my penned in 3:30 start time. I can try valiantly to get it covered/switched, but if not, can we do another one very, very, very soon? Being 1/3 of the apparent interested parties, I'm hoping this might be do-able?? (Why, oh, WHY am I so disorganized??)

No problem. If you can't make it, I'm sure we can always figure something out. Also, I'm going to post this on the confirmed TWoPCon Page also, but I was in Gastown this weekend and I could swear I saw an Irish Heather on Carroll street, not on Gaoler's Mews like I posted. Anyone know Gastown really well?

ETA, just checked the maps and it technically is on Gaoler's Mews but it's right down from the Blarney Stone.

Well, that slightly bit. I couldn't find anyone at the Irish Heather, so if you were there and I completely missed you, well, my bad. Sorry.

Too bad too, since my server was yummy. Tall, dark with an English accent. Rowr. And I tried something called a shandy. Very good. Refreshing. Beer mixed with lemonade. Who woulda thunk it? Irish are very smart beer drinkers.

Anyway, any suggestions on when we should try this again?
