Here is the Hollywood Reporter story.
She is also returning to sci-fi, planning to star alongside Ben Kingsley (how awesome is that?!) in Our Robot Overlords. I'll take a pass on that one, but it looks like it has a good budget and cast.
She's a busy bee these days.

http://tv.msn.com/tv...spx?news=806861 So Gillian's daughter will not become an actor. And Gillian's thrilled. Heh! Good to know!
Edited to add: Hannibal with Gillian starts tonight and her new show Crisis has been picked up for the Fall season by NBC. YES! Gillian back on the small screen in a big way is always a good thing!

Gillian's new series, The Fall, starting May 28. It premieres May 13 on BBC Two.
The first episode of this was 59 minutes long. Jamie Dornan plays the serial killer. Bronagh Waugh plays his wife. Emmet Scanlan plays a cop. GA's face looked very thin. I thought her accent was good. The show is very quiet for long stretches.

Oh, that's funny -- I just learned about AMA last night on Jeopardy. Had that clue been in tonight's episode instead, I'd have known it.
Well, she's just as wonderful as ever. She seems to really be embracing having such a, shall we say, focused, fan base in a new way. It's endearing. Much like her "proof" picture.
I'm totally stealing the phrase "illegal wife."

@ iguessnot: Not really, even though I'm a shipper. That would be more of a snogger thing (no offense meant to them (those who are snoggers -- people who want the actors to get together in real life), just not one myself) imo. They seem to get along more like brother and sister in real life. But it is funny when they do poke a little light hearted fun about that issue lol.
@ Arya Snark: Heard about that. It seemed like a really awesome event. She did a good job during it and it seemed like a lot of the fans were pretty respectful for the most part during it.

It's ok Bastet. They really are rabid and crazy! Ha!
She is so great in this AMA and cannot wait to see her in all that she is doing. Full plate there! Now I really want to go to Comic-Con this year, dang it!

I'm looking forward to Crisis, Gillan back on network tv in a lead role. Yes she was on Hannibal last year, but I'm excited for her in a role we see her in every week.
Any word on how the show may do, I guess since its NBC it has a chance to not be canned so early.

From the LA Times blurb recommending several new shows, including Crisis:
Gillian Anderson is always reason enough to watch just about anything.
Heh; so true. Crisis isn't something that would appeal to me without her, but I'll give it a whirl. I kept forgetting to record Hannibal last season, which is something else that only interested me because of her, so I bought the whole thing on Blu-Ray ... and then forgot to watch it before the second season started (and have already forgotten to record the second episode of that). I hear

That was funny.
"It's not going to happen."
"But you two know each other so well."
Bonus points for using frisson.
It kind of sucks when you get to be too close to just fool around (with someone you know you'd never be compatible with long term), but if you get a genuine friendship out of the deal, it's a very worthwhile trade.
Whatever the nuances of their many years in each other's orbit, they really do seem to have developed a lovely relationship following IWTB; I now absolutely adore their interviews together and about each other.

@ Bastet: Word. It's great that they seem to be getting along so well. It showed in IWTB and past it.
