Mmmkay, Calgary.
How does Friday the 13th work for everyone? We can all meet up at the BP's in Beddinton, or in Motel Village, say around 8pm?

I'm not seeing any discussion of the Feb 13 date posted in the "Confirmed" thread. This is all supposed to be done in the thread here so everyone can participate. It doesn't look like the 13th is confirmed by anyone. :\

I am from Red Deer - but I participate in Farscape Meetups once a month in Calgary. The next one is this Saturday in fact - May 6 at 7:00 p.m. at:

Written directions to the fine dining establishment are as follows:
Assuming you're coming from the north.
From the north side of the river, head south, down the hill/Lion's Bridge/Centre Street, and turn East at the lights at the bottom. It's on the south side of the road (2nd ave), and up a set of stairs. Can't miss it.
Parking, OTOH, ain't so easy.
Not only does the Ho Won Restaurant have the best Salt and Pepper Squid ever but they also have ‘round’ tables so that we can all converse with each other without having to crane our necks and shout. :-)
So far we have confirmed RSVP for 15, so please pm me so that I can keep the numbers (relatively) accurate and let Ho Won's know closer to the date.
I should probably also mention that the reservations are under "Wood"

I'm not there right now, but I'm moving back in August, and am always up for a good TWoPCon! We'll have to get something together for fall.
There aren't many of us, but we sure make ourselves heard. Okay, I do, at least. Over on the GGMM, we get into a Calgary/Edmonton debate or a "Where were you? I was [fill in the blanks] at that time! Hey, I know what you're talking about!" and annoy the rest of the posters to no end at least once a week.
Anyway, looking forward to meeting some of you at some point!

I was planning on going to Comic-Con International in July, but I couldn't get a ticket. One of my fallback plans is to go to Calgary for the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo in June. Have any of you been to that . . . and if so, what is it like? Also, what are the local attractions?
