I actually saw a movie documenting this bike ride. Phil came to St. Louis and presented it, and it was really cool. The screening benefited MS, and he did a reception afterwards. The movie is called The Ride and is a feature-length documentary about the ride. It's very well-done.

Phil was on "I Get That a Lot" last night. It's a "reality" show where celebrities pretend to be look-alikes and not their namesakes while doing ordinary activities. I only DVR'd it as the Race facebook page said he was going to be on it, so I checked it out. It was humorous and harmless enough. I do enjoy Phil's sense of humor, and him eliminating or congratulating fake teams is always fun.

Comcast is running a free Showtime (On Demand) promotion this weekend. The Ride is one of the documentaries available. The promotion ends today, so act quickly.

For anyone in the LA area who's interested, Phil will be a keynote speaker at the LA Times Travel Show on Saturday 2/23 from 1:00 to 2:00PM. It's at the Convention Center.

Phil in Air NZ video. Funny man.

I saw that when I flew Air NZ last year. It was hilarious. They have the best airline safety videos.

This week's TV Guide has the salaries of TV stars.  They say Phil makes $2 million per year.  Probst makes $4 million, so Phil needs a new agent.  Although Probst is a producer, in addition to host, so that might be the reason he makes more.

I haven't watched Survivor in many years (think the first All-Stars with Rob marrying Amber was my last), but are those seasons still around 40 days?  TAR films in about 21-23 days, so maybe they take into account that each Survivor season takes a good deal longer, plus the live finale shows, in the calculations of salaries.  Pure spec.
