No one has posted in this thread for several months, and I wasn't aware of the thread when I moved to Atlanta last year. I'm a long-time reader of TWOP (I started out reading Dawson's Wrap and Hissyfit), though, and would be interested in meeting up if there are any cons planned in the future.

I might be able to come to the next get-together. The last two times I was dealing with all kinds of family dramas, and couldn't swing a Saturday. Things have eased up somewhat, albeit temporarily, so no promises from me at this point, but I will at least keep checking to see what develops here, and try my best to join in.

Ditto!! I've been posting to the site for a few months now and just noticed the TWoPcons by region, I'm so excited! I just finished grad school (YIPPIE!) and would love to do a get together. I would be willing to help in the planning, but I've never actually been to a TWoPcon, so I don't know anything about planning one.

Past Atlanta TWoPcons involve meeting somewhere on usually a Saturday afternoon, and Mexican restaurants have been favored for the margarita/chips n' salsa factor. We meet, we go, "oh my gosh, you're so-and-so?", and talk about the bad, wonderful TV we all watch. It's nothing usually very formal or structured, but a good, snarky time is usually had by all. It's mostly setting a time and place.

That sounds fun. Atlanta has some great Mexican restaurants and they're usually very cheap but very, very good. I'm interested! I've never been to a TWoP con before but I'd be willing to help organize or whatever. It doesn't appear we've had a con in the Atlanta area in a WHILE, so we're definitely due for one.

Hello. I am planning an Arrested Development viewing party for the season finale (April 17), and am looking for anybody who might like to join us.
The place we're meeting, as it stands right now, is the Jocks 'N Jills in Brookhaven. I actually saw someone mention it in this thread and figured it would be a central enough location for people. Though we may change it to a location closer to midtown if nobody can make it there. But they didn't have any events booked for their private room that night, so we have it and access to a big-screen. The only thing they said is that if we use the room, we need to buy some food. Which was pretty much a given anyway, I would think. I asked about the possibility of watching the DVDs beforehand, but they weren't sure if they could let us do that legally. They haven't said no yet, but it'd probably be a good idea to have a Plan B in mind. So if anyone has any ideas, let me know.
But otherwise, who's up for it? I think it would be fun to watch and talk about the season finale with people who really get the show.

I would totally go if an Atl TWOP event was planned, and have a friend or two that would likely be interested as well. Mexican works for me. I'm sad there were ones in the past that I missed...

I am also in the Brookhaven area and would love to meet fellow TWoPpers!! My shows are numerous - shall I name them alphabetically? 24, Alias, The Amazing Race, American Idol, The Apprentice, CSI, Desperate Housewives, Six Feet Under (for later this summer) and Survivor. I'm also a big Medium fan even though it's not a TWoP show.

Cool! The hope of actual AtlantaCons is back! I watch entirely too bleebleeblahblahboo (thank you TiVo!), so I'm up for just about anything. I think rekkidbraka and I (and anyone else who can come) are going to do the Grey's Anatomy finale May 22 at the Brookhaven Jocks and Jills. I also watch Alias, Amazing Race, Lost, Survivor, CSI, Desperate Housewives, Without a Trace, and [small voice]The Bachelor[/small voice].

I'm up around the perimeter, and about ten to fifteen minutes from Brookhaven. I'm currently watching TAR, Survivor, Lost, the various flavors of CSI and Law and Order and some of the how-to programs on TLC, Food Network and HGTV. Oh, and 24. If anyone's getting together, I'd sure love to hear about it.

I'm down for Survivor, Apprentice, Project Greenlight, America's Next Top Model, Desperate Housewives... Damn, the list is long. Anyway, I live near Virginia Highlands and I'll go wherever as long as it's in the metro area.

As an option in general, my boyfriend bartends at 5 Seasons Brewing in the Prado (Roswell/285, behind Frankie's). They have really reat food and tons of space to accommodate groups. I'd love to get together.. even if the event is a show I don't actively watch, I'm confident we'll have plenty of them in common!

The Lost and Alias finales are the same night. We could get together somewhere and watch those. Of course, the American Idol finale is the same night, not that I really want to watch, but I want to find out the winner, so if we were somewhere where we could have that on one tv without volume, that could be cool. Anyway, the date's May 25.
