I'm not going to relive the Con but I am going to say that you all ROCK and if it hadn't been for you all, I honestly wouldn't have had so much good feeling on stage.

From the bottom of my craggy, bile-filled heart, I thank you.

Also, the cakes tend to be quite tasty for anyone who wants a snack.

Especially the banana cake. :)

Keckler was great and I wouldn't be surprised if she made quite a few more TWOPers out of last night's audience.

It was good fun indeed to put handles to faces last night and hope to see everyone again soon!

I think I got my friend to try it out. I've been working on him.

Just wanted to say it was a blast to meet you all last night. Of course, now I have bad images of baby Clint Howard and his seductive powers in my mind.

Thanks, you just reminded me to bookmark those Original Star Trek recaps for reading this week.

Yay, I found my "old" handle. Proves I've been a cowardly lurker for much longer than I'd like to admit.

No mo javatimejava.

Okay, I'm finally up and the pain in my side is ALL GONE!

Thank you everyone who came -- biakbiak, Gytha, Belchimera, javatimejava, MacMadame, and nomia -- it was awesome to meet you all and it really, really made me feel better about being up on stage.

I especially want to thank javatimejava (now javachik2001 for the ride home and Belchimera for the awesome Farscape mp3s! You all rock!!

Mathra and I had a ton of fun with everyone -- we have to keep doing this. If only because if Belchimera goes back to New Zealand any time soon we will miss her!

I loved Papa Toby's and definitely see us going back there again -- the food, the wine (they even had a Kermit Lynch selection!) and the crazies that seemed to be drawn to our group all made for a really great evening.

So I just moved to Palo Alto from Honolulu, where our tiny TWoPcon was a blast. Anyone up for meeting a newbie on the pinninsula? Or perhaps in the city? I'm working as a nanny now and desparate for adult conversation.

Anyone.....Anyone......Bueller....?

Anyway, I'll probably be at the Tide House (in Mountain View I think) cheering on the Patriots tomorrow should any of you get bored.

Seriously, I know no one here. Please help.

Hi Cornelia and welcome! I'd be up for a F2F this weekend, 'cept I'm severely over-scheduled. Maybe next weekend!

What ages of kids? Also, we have another nanny among us, btw.

I have a suggestion for our next TWoPcon. The Parkway Speakeasy Theater has an annual Oscar party where they snark the show on the big screen, while bringing you food, beer, and wine. Oh, yeah.

Tickets go on sale Sunday. Anyone up for it?

I think that's a great idea. I love the Parkway! Unfortunately I can only provisionally say yes, I have logistics to work out. I'll keep checking back!

I kept meaning to respond to this idea of fabulosity. Sorry for my delay. It sounds splendid, but my domicile rests on the coast and the idear of driving back home after a night of celebratory Oscar drinking/snarking....ack. Not good. Please, if you do go, be sure to give full report!

Don't poke my head into this thread a whole lot, but I'm in SF, near a BART stop, have a large-ish dining room/living room area, chairs, a couch, a kitchen for food and a fridge for adult beverages. So, what I'm saying is that I'd be willing to host once I'm all moved in. Yeah, it's April and I moved in October... why are you looking at me like that?

Anyone up for the Palo Alto nightlife sometime this week? Maybe Wednesday? Fanny & Alexanders had some hideously amusing stand-up comedy last week, and they serve Pabst Blue Ribbon!
