The Producers Guild of America named TWW as one of it's nominees. Here is the E! Online article, and here are the other nominees:

Norman Felton Producer of the Year Award (TV drama series):

Alias (ABC)
C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS)
Six Feet Under (HBO)
24 (Fox)
The West Wing (NBC)

And one more:
TWW hangs on as #20 in TelevisionWeek's semiannual critics poll list of Best on TV. They're the last on the list. Check out the full list.

How can that be? We've barely seen Nancy this year, and we've seen even less of Charlie. Which is sad on so many levels...

That said, it's still cool that they're nominated.

I'm glad to see Janet Ashikaga getting recognized for her TWW work.
Her editing on "Commencement" made a great episode even greater

BTW, Sorkin fans, she won an Emmy for the "Small Town" ep of "Sports Night." And she won three Emmys for her work on "Seinfeld": "The Opposite," "The Diplomats Club" and "The Subway."

ETA A Writers Guild nomination for "Disaster Relief"? Seriously? Well, at the ceremony they can show the clip of Josh inviting the Capitol building to step outside.

Well, The West Wing got shut out, but at least MLP shared in the Angels in America haul... and in her acceptance speech, she said JaMo promised to give her $1,000 if MLP thanked her infant son for giving her such great breasts to show off in her dress. One of the funnier bits of the show.

It's not an actual award, but at the end of the Golden Globes preshow on E! Joan and Melissa Rivers were listing off the top of their heads the women who looked the best and the first thing Joan said was "Allison Janney looked amazing." I just thought it was cool that AJ was the first person who came to mind. And she did look really good, her hair was a lot longer than it has been on WW.

I actually didn't think looked that great, I mean she looked good but certainly not as good as she usually looks at these things. And I always take Joan with a grain of salt particularly when tonight when she also talked about how amazing Nicole Kidman looked.

I love when AJ breaks out the hair extensions. She looked great, maybe a little too tan, though. But white definitely suits her.

I thought AJ looked great. And I also thought MLP's acceptance speech was one of the highlights of the show. However, I'd agree about Joan Rivers. As much as I love Nicole Kidman, I really didn't like her dress tonight.

With all due respect, Alan Swann, a paraphrase just doesn't do that line justice. I wound the TiVo back:

" ... Janel Moloney just told me she would give me $1,000 if I thanked my newborn son for my boobs looking so good in this dress."

(pause for audience laughter)

"Get out your checkbook!"

And then she thanked the little guy by name.

I thought AJ looked great, too. But it was her smile that made that greatness for me. Everyone looks great when they smile but AJ looks like joy lives within her.

I watched most of E!'s pre-game show, but the only West Winger I got a good look at was AJ. I thought her dress was okay. White isn't bad for her, but it's not great either. I think trains are silly on principle.

I only got a glimpse of JaMo. Looking at the links provided by biakbiak I have to say I'm not crazy about the dress. immafMom (who lives with me, and was watching too) pointed out that the harnessed-around-the-neck feature seems to be "in" this year.

The pictures of SC look good. I wish I had spotted her during the coverage.

Sad that West Wing got skunked, but were we really expecting anything else?

ETA an off-topic comment: Nicole Kidman had the worst dress of the evening. Not only was it fugly, but it was backless, which let everyone count her ribs. Does anyone really find that attractive? I think it's a little creepy.

Whoever was doing the audience reaction shots must be a big AJ fan, because I saw her over and over again throughout the ceremony but didn't see any other West Wingers at all. Until Mary-Louise Parker mentioned JaMo, I was afraid Allison was sitting there all by herself, at some sort of table for Miscellaneous TV Stars. What other Wingers were there?

Actually in many of AJ's shots you could see JaMo behind her. Being a NBC show, the went to TWW table alot. SC was there as were RS and his wife.

Yes, I don't think I saw a shot of AJ without seeing JaMo across the table from her.

immaf, I thought it was interesting how much Billy Bush was admiring of Renee Zellweger's Bridget Jones figure, even if she's really just a size 8 or 10 instead of a 2.

And I hate how when someone they normally fawn over (like Nicole Kidman) looks atrocious and they say things like "well of course she can carry it off". No, not so much.

I haven't seen a head-to-toe live shot of JaMo, but from the shots of her at the table I liked the bright color on her.

I think with that dress I would have liked AJ's hair up, but she looked great.

I saw Roma Maffia with the Nip/Tuck folks, didn't realize how statuesque she was.

Evan Rachel Wood looked very pretty and age appropriate, as did Amber Tamblyn.

Stockard looked good, the suit was nice but the Bulgari necklace was fantabulous.

And she should hand-cuff herself to who-ever it was that did her hair-it actually looked good.

Stockard looked gorgeous in the wireimage photos - I didn't see her during the broadcast.

I think Allison should stay away from white - someone in the AJ thread mentioned she looked a little washed out. But I loved the wireimage pics - looks like she hit up three different after-parties. She seems like such a party person.

Not surprised that they went 0 for 3. They'll be lucky if they keep getting nominated, at the rate this show is going.

Stockard's hair looks perfectly normal when she's going to an event as herself. I think the trouble is when they try to give her "First Lady Hair". She did mention to Joan Rivers that sometimes dresses she wears to awards shows end up as wardrobe on WW, so I don't think a bit of an update to the thinking of First Lady's hairstyles would be inappropriate.

All the women with a few added pounds looked so good - MLP, Renee Zelwegger, Debra Messing. I hope the positive reinforcement they get from this will cause them to keep some of that weight on. Britney Murphy looked as if she should be hospitalized for malnutrition, although I did like her dress.
