I still question anyone who would claim San Francisco is not the gay friendliest city in America! I mean, former SF mayor Gavin Newsom may have been straight, but he was probably one of the gay friendliest politicians anywhere
Eh, as someone who voted against Newsom as mayor I tend to think of him as the most gay pandering politicians, but that does speak about the power of San Fran's gay voters which makes another argument for SF ranking higher.
Wait, so Ron Paul is against military defense spending (war), "enhanced interrogation techniques" (waterboarding) and Guantanomo, uh, things that like, George W. Bush began? Isn't he a Republican? Aren't they pro-defense and pro anti-terrorism at whatever costs? I'm so confused....
Ron Paul has long been anti-war as a libertarian. Rachel Maddow gave him a lot of coverage in 2008. Overall, the rest of the media dismissed him but he often did better than many of the "serious" Republican candidates in the primaries and received the most donations from the military.
