If it helps, the very first episode of Scrubs includes Matt Winston walking around saying "I'm a tool, I'm a tool, I'm a huge tool." He's been typecast, but I think it's almost a career choice.

Has anyone seen John from Cincinnati? Winston is hilarious in it. The show seems pretty crappy so far, but he is good. An odd, fastidious little freak! Another character refers to him as a "suicidal fruit." I think it's a good role for him.

This may go in the
Phasers set to Trekkie thread but
Molly Hagan was on the Closer last night as the (a) wife of a murdered man. I spent all of her scenes unsuccessfully trying to place her and had to ask in the Closer thread this morning. Someone came up with her name and it turns out she's been in everything but I know her as Eris from DS9, even without the make up.

Forgot to mention earlier: Connor Trinneer reprised his role as "Michael" on Stargate: Atlantis last Friday. He was awesome, of course, blending mad scientist and heartbreaking rage with impeccable skill. I hope he shows up in Season Four.

Also on The Closer, the guy who played the boyfriend of the deceased was the guy named Ryan who took over the freighter and tried to go after the Nausicaans in ENT S1 Fortunate Son. It was a banner evening for Trek folk.

Yet one more reason for me to watch Heroes. I think I may have to purchase the DVDs this summer and catch up.
ETA It would be extra awesome if Connor Trinneer joined the cast, too. But I think that would be too much.

I watched the Space Hippy episode of TOS recently after not seeing it for a couple of years and I realized that the curly haired one. You know the always grinning one who sings stuff like I'm gonna crack my knuckles and jump for joy/ I got a clean bill of health from Dr. McCoy! was played by Charles Napier! You know "Murdock" from Rambo:First Blood Part II and the guard from Silence of the Lambs who got kiled by Lecter and hung up like a butterfly! He's also now in these new commercials for some product I forget but he's wearing a track suit and reflective sunglasses.

You know, the first five minutes of Die Hard 2 is just William Sadler (Sloan, DS9) practicing tai chi in the nude. Yes, he's nekkid. Yes, he'd posed right in front of a mirror. Hel-lo, Bill! How you doin'? :)
Last night's Standoff featured John Billingsley (Phlox, ENT) as the hostage of the week. I love the fact that I recognized his voice before I ever saw his face. Unfortunately he didn't get to do more than whimper and cry when the terrorist slapped him around, but any sight of Foxy Phloxy is better than none.

Fascinating piece I decided fit here better than Media -
My Week: Patrick Stewart. He muses about learning lines and references his current production of The Scottish Play as well as Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? "a few years ago in the US." Which happened to be at the Guthrie here in Minneapolis and I saw it and it was brilliant.

Any fans of Life on Mars here? In an

According to a link in the UK Life on Mars
thread that I can't find now (I went through the entire thing in a couple of days after watching both series this month), the US role was offered to Phillip Glenister but her turned them down. He didn't want to move to LA or spend that much time away from his family.
I'm wondering if Colm will be using his natural accent or if they'll make him play it as an american.

The always delightful Stephen Culp (Major Hayes, ENT)showed up on The Closer last night, playing the defense attorney. I kept waiting for Chief Brenda to lay the smackdown on him, but apparently it's a two-part story. Tune in next Monday to watch the lil' bitty Southern woman snap him like a twig! Whee!

Dominic Keating joins Prison Break. I can't stand
Prison Break, so I won't be watching. Still, I thought all of you DK fans would want to know about it. This new role is in addition to his role on the second season of

Dominic Keating is having a banner week. First we hear he's on Prison Break in addition to Heroes. Then I hear his movie Beowulf is coming out in Novmeber. And then Skiffy decided to run his Species movie next Saturday night. There were three different ads before they noticed they had a Trek alumni in the cast and switched ads to "ENT's DK on Species 4". It's the scariest night of television, so you know it's gonna be good. (Is it wrong that I can't say that out loud without snickering? Because I don't think the reasons I think it's scary is the same reason Skiffy thinks it's scary.)

Twenty years ago, Duncan Regehr (Ronin, TNG and Shakaar, DS9) stared as a scenery chewing Count Dracula in a little know film.
The Monster Squad bombed at the box office, but found success on cable and has become a cult classic in the intervening 20 years. The movie is amazing and I can't recommend it enough. It's filled with cheese, swearing, violence, and explosions, but it brings back a lot of 80's nostalgia. If you've never seen this classic film I strongly suggest that you find it. The 20th Anniversary Edition DVD was released last month and is available at Wal-mart for less than $15. It may be available at Blockbuster, as well.

*Kicks* Wolfman cries*

I have a feeling that that was the last we'll see of Keating, though. And all I could think while watching him was his response when getting his prop gun: "The guns on Enterprise were cooler." I have to say, I love Heroes for all the Trek casting.
We watched a snippet of Journeyman and it was nice to see Billingsley again. We didn't watch all of it though because we're old farts and were tired.

*still doing happy dance* Last night was the best night of TV Ever!
Dominic Keating was on Prison Break. He was there for about a minute, then they stripped him to his boxer shorts. They gave him back his pants, but left him shirtless. I love Prison Break! Then DK had a tense HoYay moment with Mahone! Whee!
Then DK made an appearance on Heroes. He was clothed (boo!) but he spent screen time with my TV girlfriend Kristen Bell! Whee!
Then I turned over to ST:ENT where they were playing Harbinger, and DK and Stephen Culp were beating the crap out of each other! Squee! Seriously, it was kind of hard to sleep after all that!
He was really rocking the accents as well. On Species: The Awakening, Keating had an Australian accent. On Heroes he was working an Irish accent. (I don't think he quite managed it, but it's still better than Boreanaz's so I'm not complaining). And on Prison Break he was going for a Haitian? French? generic Central American Panamanian gangster? accent. *sighs* He's so talented. And shirtless.
Did you know that the woman playing the General on Chuck is Bonita Friedercy? She's John Billingsley's wife and played the part of doomed Antarctican Research Scientist-turned-Borg on ENT.

Heh. I adore David Boreanaz, but his Oirish accent is going to go down in history as one of the worst of all time.
I loved seeing DK on
Heroes, but it made me realize that my love has waned a bit; I was sort of waiting for his scenes to be done so we could get back to the Pettrelli Brothers of Hotness (either one, I'm not picky).
