She, Johnny and Walt have agreed to let the son think that she and Walt are his parents and Johnny is just a friend of the family.
Now they've revealed to Johnny Jr. that Johnny is the kids biological dad.

The whole time Doc Ock's wife was on screen I couldn't figure it out. Just now it hit me, Picard's girlfriend!
I got it right away, I just couldn't understand why she was
so much better in Spidey! Her scenes with Alfred Molina were really touching and sweet. In Insurrection ... not so much.

It's weird, isn't it? Some actors just have chemistry together. For example, and on-topic, I caught a few minutes of X-Men on TV the other night, and Famke Jansson and Patrick Stewart have more chemistry between them than she has with either of her rival love-interests. I saw that same chemistry between them in their TNG episode, the name of which is escaping me.

I was watching an episode of "Bonanza" on TV Land this morning, and at first I thought this one character was Gary Sinise, until I realized that Gary Sinise probably wasn't even born when this episode aired. Then I got a closer look, and it was our old buddy, Bones, DeForest Kelley.

I saw an ep of Stargate last night, that guest starred Jolene Blalock. She was terrible. She was cast as the leader of a group of female Jaffa, which meant she had to act like Teal'c. Not a very good role for her. and she had a really bad wig! Also, amusingly enough, the Goa'uld symbol on her forehead looked like a Romulan symbol, which amused me no end.

I've been watching through my Granada/Brett Sherlock Holmes DVDs and before I came to the episode "The Six Napoleons", I didn't remember that Marina Sirtis played a bit part in it. Since she's in full period dress and surroundings, complete with a very bad Italian accent ("Assassino!" Tee hee!), I kept waiting for the comm to beep and her to call "Computer, exit." Alas, she never did.

When I first saw the episode, it took me a second to recognize her. She really looked quite lovely.
So she did, which made me wonder how the TNG wardrobe people managed to make her look, well, frumpy. I also hadn't realised how good an Italian she makes -- I always thought she looked just, well, Betazoid.
(And yes, the
Holmes DVDs are simply divine, save for picture quality, blech.)
I watched
Insomnia just the other day. That Paul Dooley was in it had completely skipped my mind, but after watching a boatload of DS9 recently, I was apparently more apt to recognise him (to my consternation, I even exclaimed, "It's Tain!" when he comes on screen). Treks really do have some stellar guest stars.

Sorry about the lateness (I haven't had time to catch up here until today) but O'Brien was apparently on Stargate: Atlantis last week. After sitting through many commercials during Quantum Leap all week, I was going to watch but ended up falling asleep embarrassingly early for a friday night. Maybe in reruns.

Did anyone see Alexander Siddig in the thing on Channel 4 (in Britain) the other night about the WTC bombers? He played one of the commanders helping them plan. I somehow feel it won't be shown in the USA, but it was excellent and he was quite chilling in it.

Yeah. I hate to think that those are the only kinds of roles an Arab actor can get nowadays ... (although he wasn't actually a suicide bomber in Spooks - he was an undercover agent who was blown up by one).
FoolishWanderer

That's really stupid. When I look at him, I don't see a middle eastern man. He looks pretty much bog standard British to me, and so I'd probably cast him in the next Harry Potter or British romcom or something. I know he describes himself as middle eastern, and obviously I believe him, but he doesn't really look it.

All your Sid talk reminds me of Not!Bashir. I haven't figured out if it's just one guy that keeps throwing me off or if there are a couple. On first glance I think it's Sid but then then a close-up or longer look at the guy show it's just a Not!Bashir. Keeps bumming me out.

I only knew Koenig wrote an episode of the animated series - "The Infinite Vulcan" - so I looked at IMDB. They only mention the one Land of the Lost episode, and that he was a writer on "The Powers of Matthew Star" - a pretty forgettable 80's show.

The show is horrible, but if anyone is in need of a Lt. Hawk fix, Neal McDonough is starring in NBC’s Medical Investigations. Catch it while you can-- cancellation estimates in the show thread are using weeks as a unit of measure rather than seasons. He’s still pretty.

PB, and anyone else who's over here, there's a behind-the-scenes programme about Layer Cake on Channel 4, Sunday, 11.45 pm. I'm quite amused by the newest Shatner/Nimoy Priceline ad. The one where Shatner suggests sharing the endorsement and Nimoy says it's logical, "but no" and then squeaks a little squeaky airplane at Shatner. The squeaky plane makes me giggle every time.

I love that Priceline commercial. Nimoy tosses off a great Spock eyebrow, and you can't beat the sheer comedy of "Logical. But no."
The whole series of commercials has been pretty funny. Although in the one where Shatner's trying to get into "his" room, only to find that Nimoy has commandeered it, Nimoy comes off as kind of a jerk. I blame the writing, not Nimoy, but still.
