This is a little bit backwards, but I'm watching "Civilization" (Enterprise, obviously a first season episode, since Archer sounds way too rational and Tripp too strident) and the badguy ship captain looks familiar... Surprise! It's Bellicheck (sp?) from Prison Break.

Hee! Prison Guard Bellick, now with extra hair! I giggle about that every time I watch Civilization.
Also appearing from another role? Captain Kirk's....weird...vocal pauses. (Seriously? Does Scott Bakula suffer from asthma or stroke or was he just emulating Kirk?)

Quantum has a new
series:
The story revolves around three college buddies grappling with middle age now that they're in their 40s. Bakula plays Terry Elliott, a struggling actor dating a much younger woman.
Doesn't really sound like something I'll want to watch but I'll check out the reviews.

I know this is cold, but I hope it gets cancelled. Enterprise has made Bakula utterly unwatchable to me, I just can't stand him in anything he's in, I want him off the air, he's just crap! I was dead set against him playing Archer to start with and I was right!

Things That Make My Head Go 'Sploidy:
I was watching Mad Men last night as I got ready for bed. I came into the room to find the Evil Admiral Forrest having a drink with the Late Henry Archer. Then...Angel's son Connor sat down and got all emo on everybody's ass. I chortled for a good ten minutes at my sci-fi lovin' brain.

I just read in the entertainment section of our paper that Kate Mulgrew is the judge in Equus on Broadway. Captain Janeway and Harry Potter on stage might be enough to make my fangirl heart combust -- except that Harry gets naked and that might be squicky.

I'm not a particularly big fan of Comedy Central's Celebrity Roasts, mostly because they use the same stable of foul-mouthed comedians for every celebrity (which makes it seem more like an open mic night rather than people who knew the celebrity well) but I did pause my TV for a bit to watch Cloris Leachman roast Bob Saget. (She's hilarious, btw.)
Who should I see chortling in the crowd when the camera cut-away? Asshat Archer. Erm, I mean Scott Bakula. I can't stop thinking about how oddly random that is. Who makes the guest list for these things?

I was channel surfing past Two and a Half Men yesterday evening when I stopped and took a closer look at Jon Cryer's slutty girlfriend. "I know that slut!" I cried out excitedly. A quick check of the IMDB assured me that it was indeed our very own Star Trek Handjob, Nikita Ager, who played the slutty Rajin in the third season ep of the same name.
She tasered Jon Cryer and I laughed for about twenty minutes wishing she had done just that to Capt Archer. He flopped all over the carpet like a landed carp!

Halloween totally loses its edge when I watch all those gory films with delight shouting "Hey! It's [That Guy]!"
I watch the House on Haunted Hill frequently. And every time I do I am struck dumb with the knowledge that Jeffrey Combs (Shran, Weyoun) is the mad scientist Vonnegut. A role he reprised in the appalling and ridiculous Return to the House on Haunted Hill. (Whose lead is Amanda Righetti, that recurring Hailey chick from the OC. Heh. She still can't act, poor thing!)
Also? My beloved Stephen Culp (Major Hayes) was in the Friday the 13th movie, Jason Goes To Hell. Which I apparently never saw until last night and chortled my way through. (Along with John D. Le May, who played Ryan on the awesomely gruesome Firday the 13th, the Series.)

From the blog of Heroes Producer
Greg Beeman:
Interestingly, we shot [the final scene of Episode 13 from 12/15] in October – a month before the National election. But Tim Kring really wanted to cast an African American in the role of the President, even though, at that time it was quite uncertain how the election would turn out. Even though we kept him mysterious and didn’t show his face that much we were lucky to get Michael Dorn for this role. I’m sure many HEROES fans were also fans of STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE and STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION. He was a great person to work with, easy and fun. He came in and we shot his scene quickly, in just 3 hours... And now he's our HEROES President!
Woot!

I don't usuall watch Ten Items Or Less on TBS but I accidentally caught it last night. The store was running a promotion designed to keep the doors open; they had a Star Trok convention (that is not a typo) with special guest, Jolen Blalock as herself. There were moments that were kinda funny. She called the store manager "Captain" and then told him he was an idiot. I like to think she was thinking of Captain Asshat when she said it.

The HBO series Big Love is back on (my wife is a fan). During a scene in which Bill is negotiating with a Nez Perce (I think - they never actually said) chieftain, over his potential involvement with a new casino just over the Idaho state line, I thought I heard a familiar voice, and had to turn to the screen. It took a moment to recognize him, what with the long white hair and no facial tattoo, but the Indian was indeed played by Chako- er, I mean Robert Beltran. :-)
